Yes, because the line has to be drawn somewhere, and I draw it here: no mods in Online, at all. If we let people do this, they'll just start taking it further and further.

 

 

People always take it further. The modders just messing around with fun things are not a problem.

 

Its like the war on drugs. Are you gonna punish weed smokers the same as Meth Dealers? That makes no sense.

Well yeah. When it comes to Mods and this forum, I dare say most people are more aware of this;

 

 

Than they are the skin mods you're using.

 

That being said, that R* aren't taking more punative measures to prevent the use of ISO mods in conjuction with the game is disappointing. I've no issue with allowing mods into singleplayer (modded my own SP in my PC GTA4, all good fun) but letting people loose with ISO Mods in multiplayer isn't a brilliant idea because - as you can see - not everyone is going to be using it harmlessly.

 

Would I report you? As I said, I don't know.

Given the scenario described, I don't think a report is warranted. R* has even said it looks the other way if the game isn't negatively impacted.

 

But let me ask you this, considering the number of people who would report you, is it worth a console ban for some harmless shenanigans? Granted if you aren't God moding with an rpg firing pistol, they may cut you some slack, personally I don't see it worth the risk.

Nah not at all unless you were being an ass. One of the best times I had online was where a modder had placed a bunch of ramps all over downtown by the LSC. Everyone in the session was going nuts on them. At one point I got in the car of the person that was doing it and we teleported across town somehow. Most fun I've had online in awhile.

People probably started out thinking the tow truck was harmless. Do you KNOW that this isn't related to console freezes? I don't know whether I'd report or not and its unlikely I'll ever have to decide but just because its not doing godmode nostank minigun-RPG grade harm doesn't make it harmless.
