I'm not trying to hate on the game, since I've played the trilogy and generally had an exceptional fun with them (except for the first one, which in my opinion was very mediocre). But the recognition it receives is way, way over the line. It had a splendid set of characters and notable level design, along with noteworthy visuals. But that's all for unprecedented. The rest was basically standing firmly on cliches, in great part suffering from the Call of Duty syndrome - using explosions and lots of cheap "adrenaline-indulging" pieces to entertain the player, coupled with the "good guy has to take out the bad guy" level of storytelling. Posted April 12, 2014 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Once got speaking to a random dude on GTA, he turned out to be an Afghanistan veteran, who had one of his hands missing, so whilst he was really cool to speak to, he couldn't play too good with just the one hand, I guess not that crazy though. Craziest, random person I met was this typical white trash woman, who used to play GTA, you'd hear her kids crying in the background whilst the bitch would be playing and ignoring them. We were destroying him and then he yelled down his mic saying he was going to cut my eye out. He yelled over everything in that match but that one line was what stood out for me. I never finished them because I got bored while playing them. However they are fantastic games.
