Angry with online racing. Thoughts? + Let's get some mods!

Throughout all of the GTA franchise, I have been the best driver among all of my good friends who play. Threading the needle, actually using the brakes for a clean apex turn, the whole 10 yards. Unfortunately, none of them play online these days. I find that online play consists of mostly cheap shots and pure luck, to avoid getting run off the road. I can easily pit people when I'm close behind, though I choose to play clean. It's hard to find fellow players who share the same sentiment, and I'm often left disappointed having lost due to one malicious driver. I've been on missions, free mode, trying to get to a point vs. a $1,000,000 Entity or Adder in my 'Quette, and 9/10 will kick their ass in traffic.

With the lack of sportsmanship out there, add me on 360. Big Muse. I have a mic n' I'll be happy for some fun fair races, OR, if anyone wants to take turns to unlock some Los Santos mods to give ourselves a fighting chance- I'll do that too! Add me or send me a message, I'd like to see some driving enthusiasts!

Although i feel your pain with the online races... lets see how these people do when the no collision update comes.. Ohh and perhaps you shouldnt come on boosting how amazing you are at racing, theres always someone better than you at racing... trust me

Personally I hate online racing. I don't mind dirty racing one bit. What I hate is the blip system. Being in first for the entire race only to cut the last corner an inch too sharp, causing an L, angers me to no end. They could at least make the blip go across the road, instead of 1-2 lanes.

 

I'm one race away from the next engine upgrade, and literally the last 20 races have ended with me going into last place on the last few corners, because of this bs blip system.

Two words, my friend: Ghost Racing.

I've been a singular proponent of this since GTA4, but the masses have always spanked me hard and told me I was an awful child.

i've gta raced since gta 4 (most of the crashes where accidental), but i do agree a lot of the racers in gta online intentionally pit or force you off the track (what's the point of doing that)!!

I do not claim to be among the best out there, I'm far from, I'm sure. Though, the way I've always driven in GTA is to go as fast as I possibly can while not smashing the hell out of my car while trying to make it look good, too. 90% of people, no matter what badass car they have, don't seem to do that. Racing on V is a load of crap I think, there have been countless times where I get rammed off the road and the slipstream is sooooo OP, I'm not a fan of racing.

I seem to have missed that memo -- maybe because I stopped doing competitive racing pretty soon after seeing what a joke it was.

Back in the beginning, when I was desperate to get my 50 wins, the few people that I beat were so bad that I felt sorry for them and felt guilty to win against them. But after being totally defeated, rammed, PITted, and DNF'd in 100 demolition derbies masquerading as sh*t excuses for races, I found some cooperative players, and we easily traded wins. Meanwhile I leveled up both of my characters doing a total of about 1600 solo races. I still need 50 wins on my second character, but I will be patient and wait for that -- something to look forward to. It will be interesting to see how ghost racing works.
