Who still needs GPS?

Do you still use it? Do you know your way around town without it?

At some point I realized wow I know this town like I actually lived here, for me it was probably around lvl 120.

I dont know why but this seems like the first map which i just cant learn for a reason.
I still know all the 3d universe maps by heart and alot of custom maps for them.
However it doesnt work on v... sure i know the hotspots but thats it.

I know most places pretty well and I tend to navigate by landmarks like a bird. I still use it from time to time but I'm trying to use it less, I spend too much time looking at the map and not the tree I just hit.

The problem for me is not to get somewhere, but to get somewhere the fastest way.

Me too.

I can do the trip up to Martins house blindfolded.

I used to look at the minimap more than the surroundings itself, but now I know the map well enough and only use the map to see where players are.

Nah I don't use it any more. In a way it's kinda bad... I know this virtual city and my way around more than I do my local area :/

I never even look at the road when I'm driving, so I'm pretty dependent on the GPS tbh.

Once I have resprayed a car for Simeon I know exactly where to go from each of the 3 LTS in the city area.

Edit: I mean LSCs not LTS lol

I know the layout of the city very well, most people always wreck trying to kill me in their super cars and give up.

I use it to let my passengers know where I'm going, otherwise they just keep texting me "were we goin"

I know my way around most of the map by recognizing buildings and roads. But I don't always go the quickest route. Not to mention I always get lost on my way to Weazel where that intersection is, always take the wrong turn.

If you go to options and turn the HUD off its fun picking a locations and trying to navigate there. Maybe do it on a private session though.

This happens to me all the time!

Also I just use it so I can focus on what's happening around me, I can get to most places without it but I choose to use it anyway, just makes things easier especially with the GPS in the quick menu I just go so used to using it that I now do it habitually.

I still don't know it quite as well as Liberty City though especially the more obscure parts of the city, I'm getting there though.

Know most of the city like the back of my hand, still need it in the countryside occasionally.

As above though, the route to Martins will be forever burned into my brain lol

Solid Scorpion

Some people say it's sad (guess it is lol), but I've always been able to memorise areas pretty well.

I learnt my way round the 3D era LC, VC and SA off by heart along with every alleyway.

I also learned London from The Getaway, the various versions of Miami, San Fran, New York, Vegas, Rio from the Driver series. The Miami version in Scarface.

Never thought I'd memorise GTAIV's LC, but I did and with the sheer size of GTAV, I never thought I'd ever learn my way round LS and BC, but I have lol.

I'm the same with the areas I've lived, I know Bournemouth and the surrounding areas to a T, same with Newcastle and a few other cities.

I guess I'm just one of those geeks with a built in compass and a natural ability to navigate.

Shame I couldn't figure out a way to turn it into something I could make money off of lol

I don't need it anymore(for 4-5 months). This city is not too complex to get lost in my opinion. But I have a friend who can't still find the airport from Most Mutual

Don't really need it for the most part, but it is a creature comfort and nice to have.

I try to use it as little as possible since it seems the damn NPC cars go way out of their way even more to cut you off, and crash. Since the A.I actually knows your destination.

I pretty much only use it for custom waypoints (that I'm far away from) and for my apartment when I'm on the other side of the city.

Is this actually true?

I'm the same as a few others. I know my way around mostly, but the quickest route is what I use it for. I know all of Blaine County but I guess that's not hard, it's the city which gets me.
