Army update...would this get you stoked?

So, I have an idea on a future update that imho would be pretty sweet if it would actually be made, even if only some of the things I mention here were implemented.

Here goes:

 

The Army Update:

 

-6 Star wanted level

This would bring in the army, simple as that. Army would use tanks, Buzzards and the new vehicles to hunt you down and Lazers if you're airbound. Lester cannot remove this wanted level.

 

-New Pegasus Vehicles:

- Army Patriot with mounted gun

- Army Crusader with mounted gun

- Vortex (Hovercraft) with mounted gun

- Hunter (Apache), unlockable when all missions have been completed (or at lvl 150?)

 

-New Storable and Modable Vehicles:

-Army Patriot w/o mounted gun, only obtainable by stealing it from the army

-Army Crusader (same car we have now, just modable), only obtainable by stealing as well

-Ubermacht Blitz (or whatever name) (a 1940's sidecar motorcycle), can be bought only.

 

something like this maybe, or a 1940's Harley

 

 

 

New Weapons:

-Flashbang grenades, can also be used with the launcher

-Smoke grenades, can also be used with the launcher

-Javelin (anti-tank weapon), max carrying capacity is limited to only one! 2 of these can destroy a tank.

-Thermal scopes, unlockable on each weapon individually when getting the LSPD tint

 

Other Options:

-When ordering an airstrike you will get a laserpointer instead of a flare

-A buff of the tank! Yes, really:) With the Javelin and the better airstrike, the tank is far more vulnerable now. The buffs would be far better off-road capabilities(as it's just ridiculous now;) and the use of the mounted machine gun for the passenger.

 

New Clothes:

-A wide variety of clothes fit for warfare, from basic uniforms to elite forces uniforms.

Maybe even some unlockable by spending a certain amount of time with a 6 star wanted level. For instance a General's uniform or to really show off, the Jack Bauer one man army outfit:

Feel free to vent your ideas on what you would like to see in this hypothetical update.(Or just troll and keep the topic up;) Who knows, maybe R* will actually use some of it in the future.

I'm all for having the Army/Navy/National Guard/whatever military force chase us down with the return of the beloved 6-star wanted level.

 

 

But the rest of your ideas....no.

There's plenty of military themed games...too many. GTA does need to become another one.

No. The cops are already a f*cking terrible annoyance that deter people from actual fun. Why make that worse? Right now, you can get a single star from blinking too hard at the cops. Two for running. Add tanks onto that. They'd roll on you in seconds.

Military/SWAT/Police Uniforms ! That's all we need !

 

They could add googles, gloves, armor, cargo pants, police boots, police/military jackets, military helmets and so on.

 

I don't think new vehicles are needed, maybe make the Crusader storable, but anything with a mounted gun is a no. As for weapons one or two could be nice, but knowing rockstar they won't be as good as the others.

those were my favorite model, that sucks dude, i remember i had a 97 GTI VR6, wrecked it into a guard rail, i guess you never realize how much you liked something until it's gone, got a volvo 850 after that and that car was boring, ended up getting a newer car, an OLDSMOBILE!

As was said in the other thread, if we GTA0 players just got the uniforms and stuff that the NPCs already have, we would be most of the way there.

I believe on the radio in single player they talk about a drone center being added to FZ at some time in the future. So I think some kind of military themed patch or dlc may drop whenever that happens.

HA! That's what I have right now, Drivers Edition. I love it but it has treated me way better than I have it.

 

OT: Garb yes, especially combat boots, gloves balaclavas and goggles. I like having the airstrike setup in a way that might actually do something besides cost me $12,000 to kill myself in spectacular fashion.

Would like to see the following:

-Laser guided airstrikes

-Night vision and thermal capabilities through scoped weapons

-Ability to get in the prone firing position

-Ghillie suits

-Blip removed from radar when you are well camouflaged and not moving

-A10 tank killer

-6 star wanted level with Army hunting you

-Illuminated reticle holographic scope that is usable (actually see through scope when aiming)

-Rappelling from choppers as well as the ability for choppers to pick up 5 or 6 players using STABO extraction

-Claymore mines (pretty close to sticky bombs but much more devastating with directional aiming abilities

-Ability to disable tanks (destroy tracks on either side or sticky bomb the main gun) with out destroying the tank

 

Just a few off the top of my head. Could go on forever with this topic

Any new DLC they release adds extra life to GTA O for me.

 

I'm sure R* will get round to Military DLC, maybe Cop DLC and the Biker DLC people keep asking for.

 

Although they've dropped the ball a bit lately (think they underestimated what a job GTA O would be),

R* do tend to try to keep up with fan feedback and appease them.

Making the Airstrike either a laser-designated attack or a map-based point and go type thing (ala commander-mode missile attacks in BF4) would go a long way toward making them actually useful.

Make the Army National Guard and Air National Guard pursue you at Six Stars! If you're on the water and have a wanted level, Coast Guard would pursue with Police Boats! National Guard would chase in Military Patriot (No Mounted Weapons), and the Barracks! Tanks would only come if your in a tank! Same thing with aircraft. If you get high enough wanted level while on the water, Coast Guard chopper would be dispatched, and the Coast Guard boats will begin firing the mounted M249 (Combat MG). Smoke Grenades and Flash Bangs would be awesome! Military and Emergency Services uniforms would be excellent!
