goblinthegnome
Apparently, The Black Keys song "Lonely Boy" is heard in one of the Vinewood Boulevard Radio station IDs, even though it's not in the station's playlist. So that leads us to the topic, are there any hidden songs in any of the radio station stingers

goblinthegnome
I just raised up the volume on my tv and noticed that on VBR, in-between songs, a song can be heard in the background while Nate and Steve talk. This song btw is not in the playlist at all, so it must've been another cut song. Has anybody else noticed this at all?
Cutter De Blanc
I heard from a co-worker that when Kenny Loggins says, "I'm alright, nobody worry about me," that that was supposed to be the cue for that song to come on. Of course, they cut the song. Edited April 26, 2014 by Cutter De Blanc
goblinthegnome
In one of the Non-Stop-Pop stingers some guy is trying to sing the lyrics to a song. Does anybody know what song he's trying to sing? It could be an actual song not used in the station or just a made up song
LeakyLine
This isnt gtav, but in EFLC's version of Liberty Rock Radio had the instrumental of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" in the background while Iggy talked(Was featured in the base game's version of the station)
goblinthegnome
@GTAmaster09 LRR had korn, murderdolls, and type o negative songs in the stingers for the station. I know for sure that "Party All the Time" is played in the background on The Space 103.2, but something tells me that there are a couple of hidden instrumentals being played in the background and stingers of the radio stations in GTA V, including Vinewood Boulevard Radio, in which I have discovered to include one. Hmmm nice bike
This almost reminds me of how Lips 106 in GTA III had a bumper between songs and commercials where they played clips from songs that apparently feature on the station, even though one played on a different station, and the other was a complete mystery song that we never got to fully hear until 10 years later when Rockstar released the full radio playlist on iTunes. Rockstar produced the song themselves, like all the other tracks on Lips 106. It could have been cut for a number of reasons, either the mentions of Scooby Doo and Kleenex breached a copyright of some kind (or they were at least afraid that mentioning the names would cause copyright issues, they censored a DJ on another station when she mentioned Duran Duran), or maybe they just didn't like the song (I like it though). It drove me crazy years ago trying to look for it, too, I used to think it was Madonna singing it. It sounds very 80s for a song made around 2000/2001. Edited April 26, 2014 by Tony. goblinthegnome
@Tony I remember that SUPPOSEDLY Michael Jackson's "Another Part of Me" was used in a stinger for Vice City FM in EFLC. I think that the forum members should all try to compile a list of songs that are used for the stingers and backgrounds for the stations in GTA V. So far "Lonely Boy" is used as a stinger for VBR and "Party All the Time" is used in the background for the Space 103.2. Maybe we might uncover songs that Rockstar tried to licence for the game but were instead used for stingers and background music, just like in GTA IV and its DLCs. Magic_Al
I don't think they would sloppy enough to have an expensive hit song in the radio production and fail to pay for it, because that's a lawsuit waiting to happen, and I don't think they would pay to license a hit song and bury it under production so you can't really hear it, when it's cheaper to license soundalike production music for that purpose. goblinthegnome
@Magic_Al they did that in Vice City, with "Melt With You", "Burnin' For You", "In A Big Country" and "Hungry Like A Wolf".
