proud to say I've never played this mission (that I can recall) and have deffo never grinded it. Is the mission really all that to the extend that it's worth playing over and over again back to back? no mission can be that interesting.

I just played 'random' missions for the past hour, one of them was Trash Talk and I got booted from that before it even started, guess what all the other 'random' missions were...

 

F*CKING ROOFTOP RUMBLE!!!!

 

Yeah the money is nice but I've got 3.9 million now and don't need the RP, I'm just getting sick of everyone grinding that one goddamn mission, if they nerf or remove it then hopefully people will start playing the more interesting / fun missions.

 

Host my own missions you say? Yeah I've done that but the wait for someone else to turn up can get ridiculous, and too often players will quit because I'm guessing they want high payouts and an easy ride (Rooftop Rumble...), ending up with me waiting 5-10 minutes then giving up and doing it alone.

 

R* need to put more balance into the payouts of missions, some are really easy and give high payouts when others can get really tricky and give out pocket change.

 

I want Coveted back because at least that's a welcome change from RR.

Rooftop Rumble is harder than High Priority Case. You don't need a Buzzard, it's a crutch on that mission, improve your skills instead.

I just makes me SMH that people care enough about virtual money to grind the same missions for hours on end, whats the rush to earn millions of GTA$? the games not gonna eject from the console and run away if you aren't extremely wealthy within a month of playing. The faster you buy everything the game has to offer, the faster you are likely to get bored of the game. It really baffles me but I guess it's always been this way, remember hangman's n.o.o.s.e in GTAIV? allot of level 10s that couldn't shoot or drive to save their lives because all they knew was that mission

I really don't see what the f*cking fuss is for maybe if the other missions didn't have A.) shakey payouts for harder work than RR. B.) Dickhead players that kick or kill you all the time for no reason and C.) a dragging nagging feel to the most of them. Then maybe people would play other missions, I play other missions and I hate it but I do it because Crew invites. And my crew is full of people that are pretty damn good at the game so I don't really have to worry about putting on "backpack pro" to carry them. Also who is gonna turn down eighteen plus grand for three minutes of work? Don't even sit there and lie and say if you wasn't hurting in the wallet you would because that would be BS to the max. How about this? Why don't you all host the game you want to play and send out invites if people want to play they will join if not OH WELL! Crazy idea isn't it?!

I for one hope it gets nerfed/removed, I despise that mission. It's boring. I prefer to play every mission, be it Gerald, Trevor, or Martin. In the event this mission comes up I'll play it, however.

 

The best part of a nerf/removal, is that I wouldn't be put in and possibly kicked every damn time I join a contact mission, because this sh*t is all anyone plays.

At best RR should pay no more than 6k. At the moment it is what it is - very easy (even on hard), it's less time consuming than most missions and it pays the most. It's only common sense it gets farmed. I host it a lot mainly for inviting the low level people in my session to join it so it gives them a bit of help.

I don't rely on it anymore. Level 122 and financially independent. However, I grinded this mission hundreds of times and I still enjoy it. It's very addictive.

I just don't get why Rockstar decided to get rid of the other good farming missions of Coveted and Potshot. At least back then when you joined Quick Job it wasn't just Rooftop Rumble 95% of the time.

 

I reckon they should just nerf it to something like 2800rp and 13 grand or something. And then re adjust some of the harder missions in the game like Teaser Tralier and Base Invaders and all that to have higher RP and payout.

 

Payout and RP should be based on how hard and how long it takes to complete the mission rather than your rank. It's annoying now when all the people on your friends list just keep messenging you for Rooftop Rumble lobbies.

 

Man I can't wait till Heists to finally come out so everyone can just earn decent money and RP and be happy. Cause let's be honest grinding the same boring mission over and over again is not fun.

 

And no I will never ever buy a shark card. That's just being silly

Missions Payouts really do need to be adjusted. I played the missions Dry Docks and Out of Harmony last night and it is just ridiculous the payout and rp you get for completing those missions on hard given the difficulty and time it takes to complete those missions.

 

Maybe it'd be better if they just removed it from the pause menu like they did with Coveted and Potshot and all that and increase the payouts of the much harder missions in the game.

High Priority Case is an appropriate name for that job, though. More of a play on words. You can get a Frogger from the helipad just around the corner to get to the rooftop, and the sniper and assault rifles are more than enough to get the job done for even an average player like myself.

 

I also think that if this were something where RR was switched with another job, and it was giving the wrong RP/Cash payouts, it would have been patched by now. Sure the name is misleading, but aside from that I don't see any problem.

Who would have though that making money in this game would ever get repetitive. I for one was like, "Oh man the missions are so cool and I am making money while doing it!" Until the missions stopped and the competitive gametypes grew. Just like in GTAIV when all we had was 4 coop missions 1 of which was unbeatable for the longest time until they somehow patched it. Either way since I am not into competition in GTA as much as the next kid I guess is the reason I am burnt out on this game. One of my friends who just recently got to 120 and doesn't have as much money as I always suggests, "hey lets do some rooftop rumble", and I always pause for a second and then say okay. I'm done with not only t his mission, but missions in general. I am kinda done with this game and its only fun playing with friends. This mission used to be cool when there was stuff to work towards to buy but since there isn't.. Whats the point?

 

Also, I remember in an interview with Strauss Zeldick, he said, "We want you to be able to get the money to purchase all of these cool toys to play with"

 

the only toys I see are the tank and laser... Cars, guns, masks, and clothes are not toys.

 

Sorry for going off topic.. TLDR; Rooftop rumble just got boring.

I swear on the day this mission gets nerfed or removed from the game is the day when it's going to be WW3 on these forums. Just think about it, we all rely on this one mission on ranking up and getting tons of money. Without it how will be able to purchase all of the new content coming out in the future? Just something to think about.

Speak for yourself. I'm currently on $10.9 million, rank 197 and have yet to grind Rooftop Rumble. I either back out or troll most of the times I randomly land in this horribly boring mission.

 

I look forward to the day when this mission gets a long overdue nerf. Might be able to land in some other missions via the phone.

I don't even play RR much anymore, every-time i need to make fast cash i go to my bookmarked playlist and play covertedX16 with friends. Then walk away with 300k in less then an hour also if you do it this way you don't have to back out into a new session after beating it you can just keep on going.

 

Edit: sometimes ill do this on my own just to speed the time up, hate it when someone jumps in the cargobob be for me and costs us the mission, but it can get really boring doing that mission 16 times on your own XD
