Why go through Rockstar Support to change your License Plate?

It seems like such a hassle for something so insignificant. Someone gets tired of their plate, or accidentally misspells it, they have to fill out a ticket. Or post on the Community Forum, then hope that somebody from Rockstar will answer. It'd be nice if one of these updates, or IFruit updates allows you to switch plate names. Hell, I'd even accept a charge (GTA $$$ that is) to change it.

What also sucks is that it has to be unique. Why? They should just give us the option to put whatever we want on the plate at LSC.

SP to MP glitch and store premium cars glitch did wonders for me. Everything has costum NY plates. NY plates EVERYWHERE!!

Now you can do just about the same. Just a tad bit harder to pull of. IFruit is crap anyway. Keep gaming to the console, not some app crap.

Me i would just like to be able to have my plate put on my car.

 

But ever since my daughter accidentally deleted the app off my phone i can no longer get my Personal Plate to show up in LSC, I've done everything that everybody has suggested and even ordered the plate though the app itself and it still won't show up as an option for me.

Annoys me that all our cars have to use the same plate. I'd like to make them all unique but my choosing

This is so that when a kind officer pulls you over for speeding or running over homeless people with a firetruck, they have way of looking up your past ticket history and/or verify any out-standing warrants.

I agree. I didn't know you COULDN'T change it after the fact until it was too late. Seems kind of stupid to me.

 

But then again, it's this kind of reasoning that allows your character to carry around 18 weapons weighing hundreds of pounds but heaven forbid that you should try to wear a watch AND a tie at the same time.

Like others have mentioned, download the Save editor and SP to MP that sh*t. lol

 

iFruit app is garbage, anyway. One unique plate per person? Pfft! Such stupid idea. Each car should have an option for it own plate and you should be able to change that plate anytime you want at LSC. But whatever, it's yet another classic case or R* logic(or lack there of).

Having unique plates was a good idea in theory but they implemented it poorly, for one thing the app should have been released on Android and PC at the same time as the Apple Store, and for another they should have advertised it better and made sure it was working right before launching it (I got through and ordered my plate on that first day but it was hit or miss and I was just lucky I was able to connect).

 

Beyond that if they were going to give people a choice for multiple plates per person (for use on different cars) they could have rolled it out piecemeal and let everyone pick one license plate per day, that way no one person could grab too many good plates at once but over time could pick as many as they wanted for however many different cars they would have.

 

All of that would have been very difficult to orchestrate properly but that's the best way I can imagine for them to please the most people. Keeping it down to one plate per person probably wasn't ideal in R*'s minds either but I think it was what they decided would be the most fair all around, especially considering how Apple getting the app first ruined any chance of being fair the plate selection process ever had. Limiting people to one plate may not make it fair but it makes it less unfair for the other people who had to wait to make their choice.

We really need to get some of the suggestions and ideas in the thread through Rockstar, after all, they do seem to actually listen to their consumers.

those saying that having unique plates is dumb, please go outside your home and look at the plates of your neighbors and of all the cars that drive by, find 2 cars with the same plate please...

 

anyway this can easily be solved by using the save editor, then sp2mp glitch, then glitch said car into your garage if necessary.
