Idea: Urban Warfare add-on

I think the APC should be armed,but with something less powerful than Rhino.Maybe a machine gun like the one on buzzard.It would also be cool to have it in both camo and black tactical color.I would like to see a military DLC,but I fear GTA Online would quickly turn into COD multyplayer if those stuff would be added.

How would it turn into COD multiplayer? The mechanics of the two games are completely different. I'm sure not everyone would dress their character in the new armors and such, but they would be good to have.

 

Also, have you ever seen some of the heat drug Cartels pack? Full body ballistic armor, M4 carbines, RPGs, Stingers, Claymore mines, you name it. They are almost as well equipped as the army.

What it needs is more hood things since we have business things, mac 10's and tec 9's, pull over hoodies that cover the head and can be worn with mask, bandanas and baseball/leather gloves, snap backs and fitted caps, chains and watches as well as the ability to wear watches on one wrist and bracelets on another, saggin pants and sneakers modeled after jordans or something. I am not saying your idea is whack but at the same time this could honestly go on the other Military themed thread.

In general need more military cloths few,weapons and vehicles in each class. This is a start though.

The RPG you described is the FGM-148 Javelin it can lock-on to vehicles and attack them (even when the target is parked under a overpass) and it can lock-on to low flying aircraft. It has a range of ~2miles and has a rather large warhead. This could be a great equalizer against jets and tanks.

That would be amazing for tanks.

Make that hits directly on top of the head for maximum damage like in BF.

Three shots from it and the tank shoud be done

 

IRL it will destroy modern MBTs in one hit. Downside however is the fact that IRL one round costs $40,000 and the system is very heavy. U.S. Marines in Afghanistan have used them to bring down structures. The Javelin is a great multi-use tool to have.

it could use shotgun rounds. they could just call them " aitburst rounds" and make them statistically ,against vehicles, like shooting at it with a 9mm. itll throw it around a lot, sure, but it wouldnt blow it up and you could kill people with it.

 

however, 2 rpg/6 grenade kill limit. its an apc, not a tank, so it shouldnt be able to take a lot of explosions.

Yeah, this isn't going to attract any COD players seeing as how this is a completely different game with different mechanics. It's not an FPS. These items will not automatically change the game's mechanics into one. I sincerely wish people would stop saying this will turn the game into COD because these are simply character clothing changes, NOT game mechanic changes.

Sounds like a fair trade off to me. Have the Javelin/Missile Launcher capable of stopping tanks and aircraft in one hit but the cost per round is immense. You want the power, you gotta pay up.

How are the Mac 10 and tech 9 "redundant add ons?"

We have like 5 assault riffles and 6 pistols. We only have 1smg. We need some other weapons in that class, which is why they would fit perfectly.

Okay and we are talking about online right? There for I was talking about these things for online not single player. And everyone wants those two weapons it doesn't matter how "redundant" you think they are because your "tactical" shotgun would take a backseat to the assault shotgun. I never heard anyone want that till you said something about it, look the fact is this...we don't need military things in a game that really doesn't have anything to do with military. Merryweather is a small paramilitary with a small roll in single player and an even smaller one online besides the occasional pick up via boat or chopper. What is everyone's obsession with Military in games that don't need it? I swear it is becoming like zombies and maybe the reason that other thread sucks is because people are some what tired of the military themes? The best thing in this threat is the anti tank rocket because people will always want to take out rockets or heavy duty vehicles. Even if you didn't want to do a "hood" themed thread there is a million and one things you can do BESIDE military themed things. Oh by the way if you are going to make a thread like this and be all "tactical"? You're gonna wanna stop calling mags, clips. Yes, but only after lots of other normal clothes are added. I like how most players are wearing normal clothes. It's a crime game, not a military game. I don't want to see too many soldiers running around.

I'm in the Army we use all this stuff on a daily basis and the only ones who call it tactical boots or tactical glasses are civilians who try to hard and manufacturers who want to sell gear to civilians who like to play military, they just insert the word tactical into everything. It's all tactical gear but they're not tactical boots. Look at this website, lots of our soldiers buy boots from here and the word tactical isn't mentioned once. Same with the glasses there's really nothing tactical about them, we get all our glasses down at the hardware store for $2 exact same as standard issue. They're just safety glasses but because the military use them suddenly everyone calls them tactical glasses.

Not to mention we can buy MILITARY themed trucks and even a goddamn military cargo plane. Does the Titan ring any bells? Oh, and as for the gangstas and criminal aspects of this game, have you ever seen the kind of weapons and body armor used by fricking drug cartels? Those SOB's are as geared up as the US Army. Why do you think no one ever takes them head on? Because they are miniature armies. The other thread sucked because the ideas sucked in it.
