I'm starting to get sick of gta players. I spend ages trying to make original, exciting & challenging races. The few times i get people to play it, most of them dislike it even if they won. So then I go on quick race, end up on some crappy drag race or clone "XP, lolz" or whatever & everyone eats it up.

Is there any group of gta players that aren't a group of childish [email protected]'s & enjoy real races?

I feel your pain OP. Ive made a few races, ending up dummy proofing a couple of them so people would stop crying. I've got one TDM that's got about 450-500 plays, but my races are "too hard" "too long" blah blah blah. I'm not sure how to post the races here but they're long on purpose, more RP as far as I can see, one of them is 5000 RP for first. I make them for people who can drive (even halfassedly).

 

Edit: looked up these races. 50 28 15 12 9 6 3 plays.

But I can't tell you how many times I've heard the same kind of thing from people, then gone and tried their races and found that they're absolute garbage.

I hate other peoples races too. I'd love to bitch about the race and it's makeup. Fact is I just can't drive. That's why your race sucks my ass.

Join crews or add friends who enjoy playing your jobs. I always have atleast some mates online at any time coz I've added so many through them playing or liking my custom jobs. I've got 40+ jobs (30 DMs) with just over 9000 total plays.

 

 

Heres some tips -

 

1. Be a good host -

 

Put DMs on 5mins if theres not many people / Catch up turned on for 1st time racers

 

2. Try be polite and a clean racer

 

3. Keep making jobs -

 

I started with just two or three but people don't always wanna replay your job no matter how good it is and even if they do like replaying it then they'll most likely give you new job a bash.

 

4. Kick out bad players/kids/people with bad mics or anyone who will cause people to leave or dislike - make sure you do it before the job starts.

 

5. Sometimes change sessions til you get a good lobby - I've asked random new people in public lobbies before if they wanna join a job I've made and 1/3 times they say yes. 1/3 they decline and 1/3 they say "f*ck you bitch, your gay and so is your job and I slept with your mother" or something along they lines But you gotta just keep tryin

 

The communites full of assholes. Very few good players out there. Even fewer that'll join custom jobs. But my friends list is now full of good shooters who always join my jobs when they can. Just gotta be patient.

Joining crews is a good solution but don't go exclusively for creator crews. The couple that I've joined have been abysmal in terms of reciprocating plays. I'd play many races in a row of one player, sit in an empty lobby and wait it out with another player, and no one would ever join back when it was time to do one of mine.

 

Plus putting out an invite to the whole crew won't do anything. A crew full of creators isn't there to play new custom jobs, they're there to get their own work seen.

 

The best thing you can do is have a small circle of friends that like playing your stuff. Then you just design missions that they'll enjoy and stop worrying about dumb things like playcount and verification. There's a lot more satisfaction to be had from crew members telling you they like your job or asking if you've made anything new lately.

It has became harder to get random players in freemode to join your custom jobs, the main reason for that is people who are always in freemode prefer to stay there, getting cheap kills then ignoring your invite to a one-on-one DM, then running away. Plus alot of people have try'd custom jobs now, the first couple they've played probally sucked and now they'll never try one again. If your on PS3 and want feedback on a custom Deathmatch then PM me your PSN. alsong as it ain't set on owned weapons I'm cool.

Creator Mode is by far the best add on to GTA. Based on what I've made myself and played.

 

Just wish they merged DM creator with Capture creator so I could actuly place team Re-Spawn points not just a general area.

 

And also filter out certain guns. Forced and pickup on Creator is what I thought was coming.

Yeah there's alot of good jobs out there. I've found that if the creator has posted their job to this site then there's a good chance they've put alot of effort into it. > It might be good. The amount of dislikes I've got for not putting heavy guns on my DMs. Doesn't bother me cause that's what owned + pickup options for. Got a DM called "PUMP SHOTGUN" and this knob asked before it begun "is there miniguns on this?"

 

Really???

 

The majority of dislikes I get are from either noobs who can only use RPGs, miniguns. Can't belive the amont of people I've came across in DMs with Max Payne or Red Dead crew tags who can't shoot a pistol to save themselves.
