ric4rd094
So every patch that comes from Rockstar fix a bunch of bugs (mostly in Online) and bring new bugs like unable to use a water canon in a firetruck in 1.12.After few dissapointments a decided to look deeper in game and patch files.I am not supporting pirate side of gaming and I must admit that I have RGh installed on my Xbox 360 (that's why my photographs in Snapmatic thread are in 720p).I extracted new patch files, modded and repleced ones that are singleplayer connected and gues what - game runs fine and so far I haven't encountered a "same cars spawning all the time" bug.Maybe it's too early too say that I "fixed" game for myself but definitely not mess it up like R*.I have big respect for Rockstar but V feels like unfinished and unpolished game - please R* fix all the dam bugs and glitches PS. This thread wasn't made for starting wars etc.Greetings! EDIT: I just realized how stupic the topic title is Maybe I "did not a patch" but repleaced only the files which impoved lighting etc, etc nad leave MP stuff alone We have our 1.13 and R* haven't yet fixed this freakin' car spawning bug.. Coolstream
What you fixed isn't a bug, Rockstar has gone on and on about it being a limitation of the consoles.
ric4rd094
I have that feeling that R* put too much diffrent things in V and they barely fit the limitations or even cross it. So you say that I didn't fixed anything - okay. But why spawning cars is better or worse with certain patches?
Coolstream
Not saying you didn't fix it, just saying that it isn't a bug, at least Rockstar thinks so.
Trevorphilipjfry
Well if OP can do it, surely Rockstar can PineboxFiller
PineboxFiller
Not saying you didn't fix it, just saying that it isn't a bug, at least Rockstar thinks so. Well then they're wrong, because it is definitely a noticeable difference between some of the patches. Just look at one of the recent pics someone posted in the "Same cars spawning all the time" thread in the troubleshooting section and you can see that something isn't right, and some kind of variables have been altered rather intended or not. The roads are entirely filled with one or two cars, and it's always the same couple SUV's. I"m still on 1.11 and mine is fine and looks nothing like that, I'm still seeing probably 7 or so different cars in any given district. That's probably just what they claim to cover their ass. So far with V they haven't once come out and made a statement about a major issue with the game, in SP at least. DaRkL3AD3R
woggleman
Just clear your cache and it should help with the car spawning thing. I leave my PS3 unplugged when I am not home and that is supposed to clear the cache on it. The spawn issue works much better because of it and on XBox you can easily clear it. DaRkL3AD3R
This sh*t goes back to GTA 3 on the PS2. They specifically only spawn a few types of vehicles at a time because of RAM limitations. They store the models for a handful of different vehicles in the memory and then draw from that to populate the streets. It's annoying but until we get a next gen only GTA game, then this will always be a problem. Hopefully now that next gen consoles finally have massive amounts of RAM relative to what's available in a modern PC, we may finally see them break past this old annoying method of dealing with low RAM limitations. Well every GTA has a "thing" that spawn more cars like yours and more cars that are connected to some grouo of cars.BUT, none of GTA, unlike V, have a problem that cars just stuck on 2-3 models and can't re-randomize.If you got this bug, It's even worse if you go from LS to Sandy Shores cause you see same 2-3 cars from LS that don't appear is this area. Only V has this annoying bug. I guess we have to wait for proper PC version if the release day ever comes Edited April 11, 2014 by ric4rd094 PineboxFiller
Gdog
sure you fixed the game all by yourself. if it was that f*cking easy don't you think rockstars team of <1000 people would have fixed it? get over yourself man.

I didn't fix it completely, there are some values and things that I don't understand and you are right but I'm sure I don't messed up the game and caused the game crash.I can't fix the game myself of course, but if Rockstar is so wonderful, why can't they just fix it finally when over 1000 people are working there? JCFast
I do think there's something wrong with car spawning. I get a lot more variety on the streets now playing the game from the beginning again compared to what it was free-roaming the game completed. Don't think it's just placebo. ric4rd094
Well, what exactly did you do?Well since I'm RGH user I left all Multiplayer data as original, repleaced singleplayer connected files like visualsettings.dat, timecycle, handling, and more like this.Is may sound strange but I think that multiplayer/online files causes problems in SP. I don't have bug with firetruck's water cannon and so far with car spawning, but as JCFast said, it's somehow connected with in-game progress. I'm not consider myself like a god of programming, but I know a bit about it and I wanted to try if some things work. R* are way more advanced etc etc, but since their patches does not seem to patch properly (at least in SP) I tried to do it myself. SonofUgly
repleaced singleplayer connected files like visualsettings.dat, timecycle, handling, and more like this. Just doing that wouldn't be enough to stop the samespawning, you just haven't re-encountered it yet (I've also modded all those files). Those really don't have much to do with it, it's a problem with lack of VRAM, and unless you can free some of that up, the vehicle poolsize will eventually get very small. but as JCFast said, it's somehow connected with in-game progress. Somewhat. What I think is happening there is that R* scripted in many different cars into the missions, so that those vehicles would be in RAM during/after and spawn - so by doing different missions, you're making different cars spawn. It still does happen before you beat the game, it's just that variety is forced, so it happens less.

iLLViLLain
To the people who don't think the car spawning issue isn't an issue: Do you think we're talking about 2-3 cars spawning and changing every few minutes or do you realize that we mean there are only 2-3 cars spawning period? DaRkL3AD3R
To the people who don't think the car spawning issue isn't an issue: Do you think we're talking about 2-3 cars spawning and changing every few minutes or do you realize that we mean there are only 2-3 cars spawning period? That's certainly an issue. Driving and walking around Los Santos I can get a count of no less than 7 unique vehicles as a minimum. Average is around 10 unique vehicles. It's almost always been like this for me since day 1 and only a few times have I had a "bug" where I would get nothing but the same single SUV or Jeep spawning over and over again bumper to bumper. So yes what you described IS an issue, but realize that it is not intended. Around 10 unique vehicle spawns in traffic is plenty of diversity, so when the game is working properly it is just fine. Of course I'd love to see the day we can have 100 unique vehicles in traffic, almost each car be it's own unique model, but we're about 5 years minimum away from that. Let's go GTA 6.
