Instant death glitch during the Bureau heist mission?

I chose the firetruck way. Everything during the mission was fine at first, but then when I entered the elevator as Franklin, as soon as the oxygen gauge appeared on the screen it was already empty, so it instantly killed him. I've retried but it keeps doing the same thing over and over and I have no idea what's going on. I tried searching online if anyone had this same problem but it appears I'm the only one having it.

My game save is modded with a save editor, and until this mission there's been literally no problems at all. I didn't even have any cheats active during the actual mission, so I don't know what the hell is causing this glitch. I know I could just skip through the whole mission but come on, what's the fun in that?

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, or even if it CAN be fixed, I'd appreciate your help. I know I could always just go back and choose the other heist method available, but I've already overwritten the save, careless that I am, so that's pretty much not an option. I really hope someone can help me on this cause it's very very confusing.

For now though I guess I'll just skip through the mission and make a new save. Thanks.

What you could do is skip the mission, then just go to replay mission in the start menu and see if it still occurs that way. I've never heard of this problem, the save editor should not have anything to do with this if you didn't mess around with the missions tab in the editor.

Regarding the response above-- to clarify (I think-- unless he knows a different way to skip)-- if you die-- hit retry--- keep doing this and the game should eventually give you the option to skip this portion of the mission and you can get past this part.

Yeah, I skipped and tried the "replay mission" option just to test it out. Same problem still happens. And no, I never messed with anything mission-related on the save editor. Oh well, there's always YouTube. I'll see the parts of the mission that I can't play from there.
