I wish there were more people here like you; ones who like V a lot but can be reasonable and understanding about other's beefs with V. I'm sick of being called a GTA IV fanboy, who cannot adapt to V's driving, simply because I post what I feel towards V's driving. People make up presumptions about you when you complain here. I've been to multiple car owner forums and people who love their cars do not get hostile when another owner has a problem with the same car.

 

Its like this when it comes to this place, this is my perception: People want people to like what they like and if somebody doesn't, they get mad.

If people here call you a fanboy for liking a different thing, it makes no sense. I love IV's driving and I love V's driving. I love both games. I play IV for the story: the same reason I play San Andreas, III, and Vice City-- for the story. I tend to just ignore any idiotic morons who feel the need to label me because I am not adept at their train of thought. If somebody has the nerve to crucify you over a single opinion, than those people spend way too much time up their own asses and need to get out more.

 

Opinionated morons who feel the need to insult anybody who they believe is a threat or doesn't believe in their way of life shouldn't be on the internet in the first place.

GTA SA is behind all this believe me. when IV came, SANE GTA SA fans disliked some stuff in IV but they still love it (like me). while the SA fanboys keep complaining that "IV isn't SA 2.0. only difference is that IV is in LC instead"

 

the same thing happened here with V. SA fanboys complain why V wasn't GTA SA 2.0 while IV fanboys complain why [something here] isn't in the game. later all the mix of hate comes here then.....

when V was released, 90% of people in GTAF were SA / IV fanboys with little to no SANE fans of the series. I think Mods still remember these days. in every time I come in this forum I find three+ "gtGay v soks!!!" threads. anyone who loved V was cockstar fanboy. while anyone who disliked the game was the internet hero.

 

sadly everything had changed to the opposite now. people who dislike some stuff in V are "GTA V haters/GTA SA / IV fanboys" while people who babel GTA V S A MASTERPECE!!!! are the internet heroes of GTAF.

It's all about the money for them now. As sad as it is to say that. There WAS a time where they took genuine pride in their games and took care of the customers. But now they know their gonna make millions so they rush it out. Oh, look! They made a billion. You have some logical points. Unfortunately I've done all those and I am thinking about selling it I just have a strong feeling when I don't buy the DLCs, my versions going to the bare minimum when others I'm in a lobby with will have all the cool features that should have came out on Oct 1. Yes they haven't released a price for DLCs, but I'd bet my apartment and corvette that it will be at least $10.

1.GTA:London 1969 in 1999

2.GTA:London 1961 in 1999

3.GTA:The Lost and Damned in 2009

4.GTA:The Ballad of Gay Tony in 2009

 

I Love V and also expecting Story DLCs but i really cant see any Story DLs/Expansion that will top the Franchise 4 Great Expansion Games.I dont mind paying 10 (in Europe) for a couple of new cars,clothes and also casino etc.I am not going to hold you back from what you feel like doing but I will say you dont really have to play the game 24/7 you could play new games while GTA 5 rest.I am doing that but at the same time playing my 4 playthrough.

I dont play GTAO that much but anytime i am playing GTA 5 i always have a sense of creativity Lol i havent done that before with any other "GTA Clones" or Openworld Games.It either playing with cheat codes or replaying missions,taking chop for a walk,dressing Franklin into a bad-ass or even doing the realistic things like Watching TV Shows or browsing the in-game website tbh there are endless of things to do in GTA 5 and even GTAO.and then when i am bored,i dont play the game for a day or two sometimes weeks (if i am busy or playing other games).and that builds up my hype to play the game again esp.when you are playing Linear Games that helps you to want to play GTA 5

Rock star is f*cking over the online community telling us what we can and can't do like if some steals a car and haves some else upgrade it and they try to sell the car it is only worth 10k what kind of bull sh*t is that . plus we can't sell a car over 50 k now. I know now why people r modding and doing money glitches in the game. Ya know, I hate trolls that bash for the sake of bashing and insult something like a game, it seems, just because everyone else likes it and they want to be different. I loved (and still do!) GTA III, VC, and SA and still play those games to this day. But I hated GTA IV and had high hopes for V. Honestly, I gave up GTA V after about 45% completion, though I did get my 100% completion of GTA IV.

 

I am obviously in the minority here, I get that. But I just cannot, for the life of me, come on board with this new (well new since 2008 I mean) concept of GTA. I am trying to figure out why, but for me, I think it all comes down to the sense that GTA feels too realistic to me, but not realistic as in "immersive" but realistic in terms of restrictive.

 

Then again, to my tastes, All four Saint's Row games and Just Cause 2 are "more GTA than GTA V."

 

Not saying this is true, mind you. Rockstar scored big with both IV and V, even though I just don't get the allure of either. So I am sure they deserve their success, but to me, GTA ended for me with San Andreas (well, actually VCS and LCS are great games, too).

- the prostitute 'experience' is offensively bad. They don't just hop in your car and get to it, it's a whole cutscene presentation that you can't cancel out of and it's just bad.

First of all the prostitutes are as real as it gets, I like the feature. The ones too young to understand the prostitutes shouldn't play gta but even if they do it's not like you HAVE to pick up a prostitute, it's only for the people who want to see that stuff, plus I think it's pretty cool after your done with the prostitute she talks to you and says come back and see me, I never make it back but I've heard that if you keep going back to the same hooker she'll start telling you personal stuff and you can respond with either happy, emotional, or angry.

Why V is the worst out of the series.

 

Gameplay: I feel they made an attempt at improving the driving system and it payed off(sports bikes not included), the fighting system is nothing but a bunch of right hooks, it's a big down grade from IV's which wasn't all that special, the character movement feels OK, I feel it was a dumb move taking away the ability to grab on to ledges and keep the car door open with the engine running.

 

Graphics: Very good for the ps3/360, although it has too many jaggies. Good lighting effects, decent weather effects but nothing special.

 

Map Design: Poorly done, there's more mountains than in the Himalayas and the Alps combined, no interiors, East LA doesn't exist, Long Beach should've made the cut, there should've been a recreation of the San Fernando Valley above Los Santos as well as a Palm Springs recreation, where are the famous locations known for their high rates of crime such as Compton and Inglewood?

 

World: Pathetic, it isn't alive at all, there's nothing going on, the maps is definitely big but why? When I drive all the way down to Paleto Bay what's the point? A haircut? A tatoo? The same applies to Grapeseed and Sandy Shores, what's the point in leaving the city to go there? You can own businesses but you cant even enter inside and the money they make is too small to even make sense.

 

In San Andreas when I went to Las Venturas it was to gamble at the Casinos and go to stores that I couldn't go to anywhere else, When I went to San Fierro it could've been becuase I wanted a unique fighting style or maybe I wanted a new house, when I went to Vinewood it was to burgle peoples homes, When I went to East LS it was to take over gang turf or get some hydraulics and a new sound system on my chevy, when I went Downtown it was to sneak into the Police Staion to get my impounded cars back or it could've been that I wanted to go to the club, or maybe I wnated play pool at a bar, when I went to Ganton it was to recruit a bus load of gangmembers to follow me all over the map or maybe play basketball at Sweets house, go to the gym or maybe I wanted to go to the stadium down the road and enter a race, when I went to the small towns out in Red County maybe it was because I wanted to go to the bookies or to pick up money from some place I owned, there was an a actual reason to play San Andreas long after I completed the story, what's there too do in V? Yoga?

 

Story: Sucks. I don't find being an FIB/goverment errand boy fun, Franklin started off strong then disappeared, Trevor apprantly dreamt of being some an international drug barron since he was a child then he just gives up on it for no reason, but at least he gets to drive a buggy into a red circle to pick up some invisible drugs and then 30 seconds back in the other direction he drives in to another red circle to drop off the invisible drugs to an invisible guy, I bet it took R* years to come up with that idea... Then there's Michael the fat guy with family problems, he plays golf, likes to complain and does yoga, what an interesting and fun guy........ ... ... .

 

A.I: Sucks, people might be standing at bus tops but that's all they do they don't actually get on the buses they just stand there looking like an army of spastics. You can't stand next to any one anywhere on the map for 5 seconds without them turning into a angry spastic monkey, you can't say anything to a cop without getting shot in the face which is actually kinda realistic I suppose, when you go into the bad neigborhoods it's dead, people just stand around doin' nothing where's the gun shots? Wheres the drive-bys, the drug dealers, the fights and the robberies? Wheres the police raids and the people being arrested by the cops?

 

Soundtrack: Pssh whatever.

 

Overall: The game sucks. 4/10

I think what they could've added was a re-creation of Skid Row, tbh I don't see much homeless people around downtown LS. I don't do much as far as activities in the game so the map is alright imo (heck, the only time I really explore the map is if I'm on a high speed chase or flying a 747).

 

I give it a 9/10- of course I'm not going list everything I like about the game now lol. (I should do that sometime since it seems it's never to late for a review)
