I already started a new game, I just 100%ed my old save a little while ago. I did a data base rebuild on my PS4, I was wondering if my save file glitched, so I deleted it after I finished the game. Also reinstalled my game and the update file. I'll be keeping USB backups of this round of story mode. Plus I missed a few rare cars I wanted to keep, so in the end it's not a major loss. It'll take me a week and a half of playing nights, and a few hours on the weekends to get it all back.

So I completed the story line right, Decided I would go and find the hidden briefcases and toxic waste thingys while I had some spare time.

 

Well This requires me to have at least the Sub (Which is slow) or the Dinghy which can run a little faster. I don't know how much time I spent but I was driving around the docks looking for a Dinghy. Checked GTAwiki, Checked videos where it shows in video where it spawns. SWF when i went there.

 

Tried going back at certain times which some people on videos commented about saying it only spawns at such and such time at such and such place.

 

That didn't work either, After a while it was starting to become dusk and my patience was wearing out mighty thin for trying to find a Dinghy (Why is it so hard to find vehicles on the Remastered edition then what it is on LG?)

 

I came across one parked near some warehouse not far from the Post OP place.

 

My moan here is "Why is it so hard to find vehicles and transportation that you need in the RM edition of GTAV then what it was in LG?"

The vehicles spawn differently on current gen compared to old gen, where it was easier to find certain vehicles. Dinghies can be found near the main helipad in the slips, I see them constantly. Also if you're looking for those money briefcases that used to be underwater, they don't exist on current gen. They've been replaced with Peyote plants scattered around San Andreas. Online play sucks bad. Rockstar needs to regulate the amount of time players can remain on jets. I'm seeing players using them for hours just griefing players on the ground. A player will challenge another 1 vs 1, both gets jets and they troll the roads for kills. Especially in the "bad player" rooms. Just because those rooms are a form of punishment doesn't mean hacks and modern should be allowed without restriction. I do not mod nor do I use codes of any kind. It's no fun checking into a lobby and having a bunch of jets griefing you while your chasing a car or in a fire fight. I had one jerk follow me into a tunnel in a jet and blow me up with a missile. I died and he manages to fly out the other end.

No, they (The briefcases) still exist as usual in the same places, and respawn after you collect it and quick save and reload.

 

It won't respawn if you don't quick save also i think. At least i know one place on where to find dinghys now

After making 1-2 billion from SP sales, that was enough to make a Story SP DLC. But no, R* got extremely greedy with the Online.

The global sales include a lot of returning players buying the game again.

Going by last gen sales, its apprx 35-37 million and if you add PC, then it should be between 38 - 40 million mark.

NG version is just the repackaging of the same game with better visuals, nothing else.

In fact, The LG copies have totally lost their value from future sales point of view within two years, unlike the prev. titles.

And the NG sales are far low over the LG sales of prev. GTA's.

PS4 - 8.63m

X1 - 3.55m

I don't think this game on NG has the ability to cross the sales of what prev. titles managed to consistently stay in popularity charts over the years since release.

The NG sales gives me a strong indication that the current number of players Online are mainly NG players, which further makes me feel that the story mode is absolutely DEAD for the majority in terms of repeat value.

Of course, PC sales are not taken into account because of the modding support. That's a completely different factor for the sales driven by the potential to improve the game unofficially than officially waiting for the R* support.

In short, V sales don't hold a candle to the sales of the prev titles, if one was to split the figures and look deeper into those overrated numbers.

I get the in game message, "New vehicles available to purchase for your garage and hangar property". I check all websites and don't see the new vehicles, where the f*ck are they R* huh? This update is over 9gb and this update broke Slidey Cars cheat this sucks! but that double clutch is back though I used it sometimes

Seriously. If you're going to release an Online-Only update then AT LEAST say it. Not show some lame, boring AF trailer, teasing SP Only players, only to release the sh*t with a big "Fuck You" image because the sh*t is for Online only.

 

There's a reason why LG Players are still angry at R*. If they said they'll drop the ball on LG BEFORE releasing IGG2 as a heads-up (instead of what they did) then people wouldn't go apesh*t mad.

Yeah. The last update we recived new content from was the IGG part 2. (I dont really count the Cockstar editor as that was in the PC version, that was later ported to 8th gen consoles)

 

They could at least add the vehicles and weapons to sp, but why would they do that, when they cant make shark card money from it?

 

 

The worst part is that

 

1) Having to download massive f*cking updates that we get f*ck all from, that only serve as wasteing my f*cking hard drive space.

 

and

 

2) The fact that SP still havnt gotten the DLC that was promised since 2013. I dont think they've mentioned it since then either...

Ah, thank you it's about time another person came by and mentioned that it is 100% wasted space if you have no intentions of playing Online what so ever.

 

I believe if the update doesn't act with Single player in any way that we should only be asked to do updates "only" when we enter online mode. That way those that don't like or want to play online can be left in peace without knowing that their precious HDD space is about to be munched up by 0's and 1's of useless data.

Fortunately that's unlikely to happen due to the way the Game is built on the Consoles, PC maybe has at least a chance or some degree of pulling something off like this but i'm not sure if it's possible.

So I fire up the PS4, pop in GTA V to see if maybe R* threw SP a bone and included the new vehicles in the latest online update. I see that there's a new GTA V update to install, cool, I'm thinking SP is getting the new vehicles so I install said update. Once the game loads there's a message saying "new vehicles are available to purchase for your garage and helipad properties". I go online to see which cars I want and what do you know, there are NO NEW vehicles to purchase!

 

Thanks R* for making me waste 9GB of hd space and for once again giving SP the middle finger while taking a huge dump on it!

 

But I have to take some of the blame, I should have checked first to see if we got the new vehicles before installing the update.

Considering The Ammu nation's rack is almost full, I'm starting to wonder how they would add more weapons?

 

I guess they could add a secret hide out where you buy weapons from a crazy dealer of some sort but that means putting turning around and putting attention into SP, getting someone to record voice lines for the dealer which is unlikely to happen.

 

Also while i'm on the topic of weapons, Why the F*ck can't I use the Molotov and a few other weapons in director's mode? and why can't I use weapon mods either in DM? the weapons shouldn't be limited or taken away from me just because i'm playing in director's mode. I truly believe R* comes up with the lamest and most stupid reasons ever.

Yeah. I liked the idea in Vice City you had to visit Phil's place to buy minigun and other heavy guns while Ammunation only sold typical stuff for gunstore.

Director mode is such a cool amazing f*cking concept, but it is implemented so poorly that it is basicaly useless.... It's just a skinchanger. You can't really do anything with it other than record shootouts and stuff, no options to set up other NPCs task or interact with them in any complex way, no ambience and interactivity within the mode. Mods on pc are the true director mode.

Huh I never noticed in SP it's full till now.. So how the hell is MP not so full that it got two more weapons? And a possible 2 more to come (shotgun and something else)

I guess V is getting boring pretty soon because R* has simply stopped making single player in the same vein as GTA San Andreas, and prev titles, and also due to the aspect of garbage online being able to immerse the players with the same feeling close enough in multiplayer format, giving them an option of microtransactions which helps to boost revenue coming from digital sources.

Though their emphasis on online is definitely going to make the single player more shorter and unimpressive without making you very glued to the offline fun all the way through the way GTA San Andreas kept me busy for months, and still interesting to keep returning without getting bored.

V is a proof that SP was simply used as a bait for their Online ambitions.

Next release I am going to be extremely cautious in buying any GTA.
