All this "waah r* y u no release goodies 4 sp" whining is gonna kill me.

 

 

Come back when you guys get stuck playing LG. LG means no Lowriders, no Freeroam Events, etc. Be grateful that you get fixes at least - GTAV on LG is broken on both modes.

I see and understand your point of view, this game on LG sucks but the complaint is very valid, SP is not even getting new cars anymore, the last item added was a stupid machete that most players don't even care about.

The real problem here is because you CAN put most of these contents in SP by just flipping some switches here and there, but R* deliberately chooses to make them exclusive to Online, while not even giving us some news about the vapourware story expansion(which lets be frank, was very lackluster).

Yes, but you seem to give it a much too literal meaning. We are getting DLCs, we are using bandwidth to download them, we are using disk space installing them, but they don't change anything, well, that's a lie, they break stuff randomly everytime they drop.

Not for SP, they even break stuff every DLC. Property missions are broken since LG days, recently i deleted a broken save game where property missions didn't work

In fact, R* were going to do the same what EA and others would have done by charging for all the DLCs instead of making it free, but looking at the response to microtransactions, they decided to not divide the community and decided to keep the content in Online free and fair for all with the options to buy cash cards.

I think in the future they are going to look for alternative ways to make people pay but without dividing the community. Maybe a subscription based service for all who wants to play online.

Capitalism would be getting as much money you can from your fanbase not just a segment of it. R* is actually losing money buy not bringing content to single player. As much as I hate this R* could and should charge SP fans for the content from online to be available such as new apartments the lowrider mod shop and mega yachts. Id pay $15+ for that content in SP.

You may be right. But the problem is that whoever is making the financial and marketing decisions over at Rockstar obviously disagrees. I seriously doubt that they have made a conscious decision to just blow off a lot of money by launching SP DLC and microtransacions. They probably believe that either there really is no money left in single player development for this game or they simply believe its negligible.

 

Its a shame, too, because I am not an online player.

unless the vehicles are mission/level locked then yes. It's a pattern I've noticed with both the lowriders and heists. The Halloween surprise was just pure BS tbh

Got to the last assassination mission, invested everything into Gold Coast prior to starting. Completed the mission, went to go check the stocks like usual only to find out my portfolios are empty! 400+ million with each character gone! PS4 version btw. Luckily I have Trevor's airfield to scrounge up some cash to by the 2 properties I need towards 100% completion. Mind you I started a new account for the PS4 in the beginning of the month. They seemed to have fixed the safe house bug where the cars would vanish without warning, but now the f*cking stock portfolios disappear.

Every update seems to "fix" something (which is, half the time, isn't broken in the first place) and break several things later.

Please tell me you have backup saves!

 

Every time I played a 100% completion campaign in GTA V, I made sure to have backup saves to reload in case something goes wrong with one of these crazy cash stockmarket bombardments after a Lester Assassination mission. Basically I ALWAYS make sure that I have a save with all moneys intact right before I invested everything into the market for all three characters in case anything goes wrong.

Seems like videogames refuse to let me 100% them. I lost count of how many games I almost 100%-ed (or at least got really deep in) only for some sh*t to happen, forcing me to either start all over or start somewhere early in the game.

 

I'm looking at you GTA:SA, Racthet: Deadlock, Digimon Rumble Arena 2, and Digimon 4. Yes you.

I play online, I just started a new PS4 only trophy profile, plus I wanted to change my PSN anyway. My retired account was a legit 459, platted + 100% game + 100% trophies, heist, and editor. I'll probably make me new character in a few days.

Funny thing was I was going to make a backup right after the last assassination mission. The whole game ran fine up until that exact point, trophies popped with no issues. I had to do research, and it appears I'm not the only one who has experienced the stock portfolios disappearing on the last assassination mission. On the bright side, and even doing further research, the Multi Target Assassination you can make an extreme killing on. On the rebound my Redwood stock got as high as 470% before I sold it. Apparently some people let the stock sit an extra game week and it peaked at over 1000%. Debonairre peaked at around 67%.

 

But I'll have plenty of backups now. The only bug I ever experienced on my retired account was the safe house garage bug. But that seems to have been fixed, with the exception of Franklin's Aunt's garage. Tried saving Lamar's van early on and it vanished. Not the end of the world, if it wasn't for the fact that it's a GTA game that I do love, I would've finished my trophies and shelved it for good. But it's pretty sad that SP has been getting the neglect it has been. I'm just grateful my only problem was just the market issue. I was still able to 100% story mode with no further incidents.

SteveNYC, do you have a backup of that save even if you have to play a lot more than you want to to get to that point in the Assassination missions?
