Even Online's cops aren't as sh*t. If anything, No.1 reason why I prefer Online over SP is that, while almost02every single NPC in Online have godly accuracy, the cops aren't as dickish and annoying as SP's. Cops won't spawn out of nowhere in 0.001 millisecond like in SP, and they don't ram your ass constantly.

Just saying, It'd be great if you bring a change in your analysis of how to view pros and cons by comparing any two SP titles, then SP with Online. It should really not matter how the Online plays out since the most important issues are always taken into consideration for SP, and then with any prev. SP title for making further comparisons to understand whether the differences are a sign of improvement, or poor design.

Let's change my way of talking because of a random guy in the internet says so.

 

I'm comparing 2 different GTA titles. GTA: Online IS a GTA title, whether you like it or not.

I just brought the sonar collections dock after completing blitz play. I go diving for submarine pieces and went to the plane crash in paletto bay. guess what.... NO FREAKING BRIEFCASES IN THE SEA FOR THE THIRD GODDAMN PLAYTHROUGH!. what the hell is going on here? how do I make the damn things appear?

I seriously hate a lot of the effects. Specifically the stuff that deals with the vehicles colliding with the world. It looks so much cheaper than IV IMO.

GTA V plot sucks, IV era is better. Well, even the Postal plot is way better than the GTA V plot.

 

What happened with Johnny Klebbitz in the transition from GTA IV to GTA V is the same that's happening with Gohan in the transition from Dragonball Z to Dragonball Super. Both used to be badass characters which turned themselves into pussies with no decent reason at all...

You're either a SJW or a terrible troll. First of all, Franklin is in the game only to fill the gap CJ left behind, but he is so underdeveloped he managed to destroy the plot behind Michael and Trevor.

 

Franklin is in GTA V as a playable character only to fill the gangbanger gap CJ left behind on LS, but he sucks, he has less character development than GTA IV Brucie, the ones related to him has less character development than GTA IV internet cafe characters who don't even appears in the game. Franklin has no development at all past the early game but watching Michael and Trevor fighting against eachother like a son watch his parents fighting.

 

Conclusion, Franklin isn't a protagonist and he shouldn't be playable, he is a tertiary character and as such deserves to die at some point of the story. Franklin is arguably the worst GTA character ever created.

I lost it when THAT whoever that person is calling me racist.

But, I agree with you. I wish they had an option to choose which character you want to fight against.

Meaning no option A or B or C. But rather I'll choose Trevor or Mike to fill Frank with N9ne bullets.

He was useless as equally as Lamar. Hell, Dwayne had more persona than F & L.

 

I guess I wished we had more back story of the true criminals of V.

I agree with a lot of what you said above.

 

While I like the story, it feels like it was written like a TV drama, such as NCIS LA. Holds your interest and all of that stuff, but is as predictable as your girlfriends response to 'what do you want to have for dinner?'.

 

This would not be an issue if we weren't used to seeing GTA games written like cinematic masterpieces. If IV was a film, it would probably be one of my favourites.

Am I the only one who actually likes Franklin? Michael's still the best protagonist in GTA V IMO, but if I had a choice between axing him or Trevor I would choose Trevor anyday simply because he's more of an annoying tool than Franklin.

 

I think as a whole Franklin is an excellent base for a protagonist. He's young, ambitious and looking for something more, but doesn't get enough time to develop due to the old married couple complex between Michael and Trevor that clogs up the second half of the game.

 

He's sort of just "there" from that point, but I blame the writers more than the character himself.

 

Franklin's not the best, but I don't think he's the worst either.

Obviously is a personal thing, i actually find F the less sh*tty character, nothing special either, i just manage to tolerate him, not the other two.

Trevor was such a waste of time and energy. A waste of space. His voice didn't even deserve to be played on my surround sound. God awful character. I'd like to single handedly drown his ass in his own piss.

Franklin just seems like a faceless pedestrian in comparison to Michael and Trevor. He doesn't say or do anything memorable, has no quirks to his personality to make him stand out, doesn't have any real drama about him, his backstory doesn't serve any relevance to the plot, his supporting characters are generic.....the list goes on, Franklin is such a bad character.

Am I the only one who doesn't hate Trevor? I *actually* like all 3 protags. Yah, in4 someone calls me "stupid" for liking a character they hate....
