Official GTAV Whine and Complain Thread

Yeah. I realize that you're complaining. I am simply trying to clear out certain misconceptions related to hood under attack messages by suggesting cma solution.

Is it surprising and/or irrelevant for this thread if some person is trying to discuss a solution that is simple, clear, and helpful?

It's surprising that someone that spends so much time saying "Hey I'm just expressing my opinion and everyone should just accept that as my opinion" immediately had to leap in and attack my opinion in a complaint thread. I'm guessing it's because I said something negative about our Lord Jesus Christ's own game, San Andreas.

I AM BLASPHEMY.

You initiated to let your "opinion be under attack" by quoting to my response first to send out a message about the biggest problem you have with the whole gang wars mechnanic. :D

Because you essentially denied what I was saying, even though it's plain truth.

Let's get back on topic please!

No point in wasting posts in discussing this further when those responses are anyways going to get dumped into the bin as soon as they are reported to the moderator :p

Replaying the story, buy properties, missions won't trigger.

Reminds me of one time I a accidentally selected "Finish/Unlock all Missions" in the Save Editor. The game got bugged to the point of non-return.

Note to self: NEVER use the SE in anything but changing your weapons' tints and other trivial stuff.

Its definitely not pain in the ass. Yes, it is. Just because X isn't annoying to YOU it doesn't mean it is for everyone.

How hard is it to IGNORE the message instead of getting upset and nervous about losing the territory? Yeah, let's ignore the MESSAGE and end up losing a f*cking territory. Which forces me into doing this sh*t all over again. YAY!

I find this hood under attacks blown out of proportion as if its a constant headache. In my 12 years or so, GTA SA gaming, I hardly got such messages when I amfree roaming in San Fierro or Las Venturas. So, Idon't understand how are you guys getting so much messages? how, you ask? Because your precious SA is glitched, that's why! Duh?

Hell no, harvest the living crap out of money glitches where you can. I have a nice $137 million so if I decide I want to play online every now and again I have sufficient funds to do so.

For those who have jobs and commitments outside of gaming, it is not a pleasant feeling to come home after a long day and find out you can't buy things because I have to pay $500 each time I die.

Cheers!

Unless Hyper-Inflation kicks in, then that $137 Million would not be much.

Another thing is that the one star wanted level basically doesn't exist anymore. Which shows again that the game is online focused.

Yeah, except that the same sh*t happens in Online too.

No, but why would they bother adding a proper one star wanted level when the game is online focused. Just as in GTAIV the police online would simply shoot you directly. And here in V they didn't even bother anymore. And it could been quite cool with the search system.

Also why do normal npcs have such bad rag doll physics and always die after one shot. While NPCs you're having a shootout with have quite good physics.

Hmm.. That's strange.

Are you also not getting messages from the manager?

The issues related to property missions are long standing ever since 2013 - Property Mission Calls not coming.

Its still getting reported on re-release on NG - Rockstar, PLEASE answer! Property Missions Bugged?

Rockstar really should look into these issues as it has been pending for so long. Its also worth noting that there are people who have reported no issues at all. The missions are working fine for them. Even on my many playthroughs on PC the messages stop abruptly.

What's worse is that, you invest so much time on playing the story, only to something important not working halfway through, is like, f*ck it, i'll go and stare at the wall.

I'll go and open a tick at Rockstar Support only to be told to unplug my PS4, if that doesn't work, format your PS4 and start over

Just as in GTAIV the police online would simply shoot you directly. And here in V they didn't even bother anymore. And it could been quite cool with the search system. Try not to haul ass as soon as the cops get close and you'll see that getting arrested (and not getting shot at) is actually possible. I've seen a post that explains why all this happens but I can't remember where it is.

You really don't want to, i can asure you, R* couldn't design a fun MP game, so they designed one to keep you busy repeating missions over and over in order to get stuff, most people can't tell the difference between having fun and grinding money, true story.

I know that it is possible. But the problem is that you go from 1 Star to 2 Stars in 10 seconds, without shooting or punching someone. In IV they would follow you for some time.

Surprise surprise, the exact same damn thing happens in Online.

So you blaming Online is invalid.

I think you don't get me. I also know it happens in Online. But what i mean is that they didn't bother to tweaks this feature like they did from III-IV is because the focus was from the beginning on Online. Im not one of those who literally blames everything on Online but there are some features which seem to be worse because of Online.

Yeah, let's totally ignore the fact that maybe, just maybe, R* wanted the cops to behave that way.

Wow right? :sarcasm:

As i said they wanted them to behave exactly like that because it fits online better. No one wants a one start wanted level in Online.

GTA V runs sh*tty with an AMD FX-8350 + R9 290. I'm thinking about purchasing a mobo intel + an intel processor.

Also, it's sh*tty and lazy programmed the way the cops pretend to P.I.T maneuver by automatically turning our steering wheels after ramming our cars. I remember myself getting PIT maneuver'd by SA cops, what a joke of 2015 game ;p

Yes. They are heavily scripted and intentionally alter your vehicle's steering to force a complete PIT maneuver. These are aided by the ridiculous amount of rubber-banding used as a cheap catch up trick.

Cheers!

Why are developers resorting to so much scripting of every interactive moment so tightly?

Games on one hand have become so awesome to look and immerse, while on the other the basic gameplay feels a lot controlled by the designer more than player driven.

V is a shining example of this. Even IV suffered from this modern treatment but its a lot worse in V. Animations upon animations, linear designed missions with interactive cinema, some sort of restrictions can be felt in many areas of the gameplay, basically V feels like a forced gaming experience not free form through to affect the game world. It's just so scripted and tightly controlled environment where every experience the developers have designed to engage with the variety of things to do on each play through feel the same.

That's one thing I like about 3D Era. It wasn't so realistic and tightly scripted. You can come across many glitches, mission approaches, and in general the way you want to affect the game world which produce results that are more player generated than the designers.

Seriously, I was hugely disappointed after they promised open ended missions before release. They literally held your hand for V's missions. I mean, look at when you're chasing the plane with the dirtbike, the path is literally built into the map. And it's about the only good path offroad on the entire map. Everywhere else you get cockblocked by big rocks and sh*t. Chasing the boat on the trailer? Rubberbanded to hell and the semi goes faster than physically possible.

There may be a reason for that. Rockstar have generally always built the Map first, before they start writing the Story.

Even Online's cops aren't as sh*t. If anything, No.1 reason why I prefer Online over SP is that, while almost every single NPC in Online have godly accuracy, the cops aren't as dickish and annoying as SP's. Cops won't spawn out of nowhere in 0.001 millisecond like in SP, and they don't ram your ass constantly.

Just saying, It'd be great if you bring a change in your analysis of how to view pros and cons by comparing any two SP titles, then SP with Online. It should really not matter how the Online plays out since the most important issues are always taken into consideration for SP, and then with any prev. SP title for making further comparisons to understand whether the differences are a sign of improvement, or poor design.

Yeah Ten-a-penny, you should be conforming to the board fuhrer's exact specifications on how to post or he'll report you or something.
