I hate how The Contract just ignores a lot of things from SP. First, how did Franklin end up marrying Tanisha? What happened to the doctor she was getting married to at the end of SP? Second, why would he even marry her to begin with, especially after all the sh*t she gave him? Third, how are there still O'Neil Brothers? Exactly how many of them are there?

Wtf?! 🤣 First I heard of this. God GTA Online is dumb

To be fair, this could have been a singleplayer DLC. I remember back in an interview where Shawn was talking about something planned and during that interview Ned and Steven suddenly covered it up for him. So a Franklin DLC was always in the works I suppose. I guess it's kinda fortunate that it ended up in GTAO rather than V story mode. Otherwise we would have some wierd canon to deal with.

???????

Please don’t encourage them to change singleplayer even more. They’re already removed vehicles from the websites to order, and added tons of stupid ones cluttering up the pages, and ruined ammunation by putting the DLC weapons in the main displays when they aren’t visible there before interacting. And they’ve added radio stations that play music from the late 2010s, breaking the 2013 setting, and with ads and talk radio segments referencing events from GTA Online. The added content is no big deal if they give players the option to opt out of it, but we can’t, so if we want to experience the game as the original artists originally intended, we have to downgrade to version 1.0 (making it impossible to use Chop since you can’t connect the app without network features, which require the latest update).

Rockstar is too stupid to realize there are people who won't every really mess with GTA Online.

They are literally leaving money on the table when it comes to Single Player content.

They have a treasure trove of already made content they could put into GTA V from Online, Via packs.

$5-$15 Per Pack. Just think about it.

The Casino & Music Locker Pack - $15 - Ability for F, T and M to purchase a Penthouse suit and use the Casino and Club.

The Biker Pack - $10 - Adds more bikes, new weapons and the Ability for F, T and M to own a Club House and all the jobs that comes with it.

The Armored Vehicle Pack - $5 - Adds the Armored variants of some vehicles.

Benny's Original Pack - $10 - Adds a plethora of new vehicles and customization options at Benny's Shop for use by F, T and M.

And so many more!

Is it nickel and diming? Yes.

Would many people if not most buy these? Also Yes.

Rockstar Be Smart

I wouldn’t mind it being like this as long as it’s optional to be purchased, and not forced upon you for having the updated version. I hate all of the additional content they’ve added to singleplayer from online, like the cars and radio stations, because they completely ruin the 2013 atmosphere and detract from the originally intended experience

Biggest mistake is online part that interfering singleplayer part with bugs and glitches.

They knew, that they are abandoning sinleplayer. Best outcome they could make is standalone SP without online, but no they messed everything...

Base game was around 45 GB and Online crap is just junkware for me. I dont understand many decisions of gaming companies...

Another YT'er related moan from me.

TheProfessional, guy does many GTAO related garbage videos but my W + C isn't about those specifically.

Over 1 hour to explain why Dimitri betrays Niko? Another 1+ hour for Playboy + Dwayne's story? 50+ minutes for why Julius betrays you in Saints Row?

Wtf? And this fella had the nerve to do a MrBossFTW parody video?

Literally everyone agreed that second trailer was horrible, as soon as it was revealed pretty much. No one even took those marketing buzzwords in the trailer at face value, hell there were memes made from them. Even the most casual player was smart enough to know this.

That second trailer pretty much told us what this game would be like aka no major improvements as we initially thought. Rockstar didn't falsely advertise this game for sh!t.

Look i understand you have an infallible love for rockstar but...this one shouldve stayed in the drafts lol

It makes no sense. First you say they didnt mislead and then the next post is basically saying they did mislead but its okay because everyone knew they were misleading and using empty buzzwords? Idk

You know whats sad? The complaints from the earlier pages like 7-8 have never been addressed. The fundamental issues with this game with its unprecedented support and success, and Rockstar never made the time to fix most of these huge issues that have plagued the game since launch. Not once within the last 9 years and the last 2 re releases. Its really sad because even going back to V, its a very boring game once the campaign is done. No real fun activities, police and military isnt even fun to mess around with because of how demonic and pin point accurate they are, the wilderness is almost non existent, as mentioned lots of times theres no interiors to explore, no sense of discovery due to the layout and design of the map. Its not even a 9/10 tbh. Any other studio and the game wouldve gotten a deserved 8/10 from most major review outlets. Sad

To be fair, his GTAO content is actually good.

Have to agree with you on story videos he's been doing recently, they're kind of overexplaining stuff.

the only great gtao dlc there ever was is the cayo perico. everything else is a copypaste of the business update with different cosmetics and the same sh*tty drive to the farthest location from your start point to kill some guys then drive back as enemies are spawned every 2 seconds with pinpoint accuracy

For real, it got me hooked up to the game. I was getting tired of the usual Source Crates + Biker + Bunker + Nightclub Routine. When Cayo came out it was easy money. I bought a lot of buildings/businesses and cars I never thought I needed.

I disagree with you on this one. Even after almost 10 years of playing, I barely touched the underwater and Blaine County areas and I'm an active GTA Online player.

Just last year, I stumbled upon that stairway in Mirror Park that lead to the LS River. I'm also discovering a lot of areas in Blaine County for the first time such as that island off Chumash as well as Harmony Village or whatever its name was. I've also discovered how peaceful Paleto Bay is just by driving around the map moving my cars from one garage to another.

The Map design was okay, but it was certainly outdated even though it was obviously designed for a MMO setting as MMOs tend to have one huge map with a central hub/city and an expansive countryside for different activities with smaller villages in between. They also designed it in a way that the map is entirely connected (no impassable mountains) to emphasize that it'd be open from the start. There were no bridges that could have been blocked off to prevent entry like GTA SA as there were only few rivers in the map.

I wasn't talking about GTAO DLCs, I was talking about TheProfessional's videos on GTAO, i.e. money-making guides etc. They are actuall good (and yeah, if you're not into Online, they're useless, but that's beside the point).

Is GTA V only city sandbox with hostile NPCs? I played a lot sanbox games in city settings, and this games is probably only one where NPCs are hostile towards player for doing nothing.

Literally some NPC called cop after me for just waiting for cable car. Moments when they started fight or run scared when I did nothing are countless. Or they taunt me...

I wonder who say in development, Its good Idea to make them hostile. Its not even realistic, do they taunt complete strangers in USA by default? It can be really messy in minute.

I agree, I hope they tone down the NPC's reaction to the player in the next game. It seems like simply standing near one will trigger a nervous response of them taking a picture of you, running away in fear or calling the police. It's so over the top.

I always wanted to experience this game like it was 2013. I want to downgrade it to 1.0 but with Epic Games i suppose it's impossible, i am not using Chop anyway (he follows you even his happiness is zero), trying to use iFruit is a torture.

Yeah but Chop is actually really useful when you are going for 100% because he will help you find collectibles. I found out though that you can update the game, train chop (only need to do it one time) and then downgrade again. That way his happiness will be zero but he can at least hunt for collectibles

I don't bother completing any game %100 (i tried for Vice City but quit after getting stuck with 99 hidden packages), for one it seems a waste of time for me. For two i don't have the motivation, it feels pointless.

Being able to discover new places in a map doesn't automatically gives it a "Sense of discovery" in itself.

I disagree with you, a bit. But, you have a point. After playing Red Dead Redemption games and Ghost of Tsushima, I wonder why Rockstar didn't give us incentives to explore more of the map. Like WTH? almost 2/3 of the map remain unexplored after finishing the story. At least RDR had scraps scattered all over the map if you don't like repetitive bounty hunting or gang hideouts. Ghost of Tsushima also has vanity items and other trinkets to obtain all over the place. I never even cared about the Fog of War, but by the time I finished the game, they're almost gone.

I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but it's f*cking depressing that the closest thing we'll ever get to SP DLC is being able to do GTAO Business activities in private sessions as of the Criminal Enterprises Update. Nearly a decade after the original game's release, too. :/

It's a shame that V never got an expansion that could have potentially addressed criticisms some players had with the story mode, a la EFLC (TBoGT especially) for IV.

Funny, I even dont know that there is another online dlc.

This total ass looks totally same as another other dlcs...

I bet grindindg, paywalls, 20 useless sportscars, 10 armored vehicles, 5 weaponized vehicles? If you want to buy it with shark cards, price will be around 500 dollars/euro real money?

Basically is, this DLC is just improving the already existing businesses and missions while adding some new items. It doesn't really feature any new big content.

Well I love when my game is fun, so Online is not for me. GTA IV, RDR multiplayer is peak of rockstar online gaming, simple as that. Its fun, because is for free and you jump straight to the game.

I recently played GTA IV, and police system in GTAV is just garbage...

Imagine if they send bulletproof Riot van on 4 stars instead of that that SUV. Imagine if they utilize all vehicle that they made... Police Buffalo used in high speed chases...Police cruiser used also with police interceptor. Police van used in three stars to ram suspect like police Patriot in GTA IV . Bikes used not only when they spawned on some points.

They definitly cut all corners thats possible. It feels so unrealistic, its no fun when you are only dealing with police car and Granger, And on rare ocassions with other cars in blockades.
