I'd rather have the ability to crouch than stealth, diving underwater, planes and sh*tload of customization options.

I might not go that far. Crouching is good but customization is also important.

hmmm, alright it is kind of strange not to have a crouch button but once you tap the cover button there is your crouch. btw i think crouching never had a big point.

I didn't mean no customization options at all. But I'd pick crouching + a couple of customization options over just tons of the latter.

customising in gta 5= change clothes after a minute without the player’s permission because of realism

Are these instances in which the character shows up in different clothes after switching--is it completely randomized?

If so, it seems like something that a mod would be able to eliminate.

depends on where your character is, if michael is making yoga at the switch scene of course he won’t be wearing that high end jacket you bought him, but this is nonsense from player’s perspective, i wouldn’t mind michael making yoga even with a suit, comfortable gameplay>realism. if trevor is sleeping on a mountain he’ll probably be  naked, yet he doesn’t change his clothes mucg like the other two.

probably there is a mod, but i doubt i’d use it even if my pc were still alive(my cousin’s actually), i’m not used to mods i’d probably be too scared of messing up the game files.

I cannot tell the difference between Vagos and Aztecas in Rancho. Especially in central Rancho on that side street by the Motel. There were Vagos chilling at the house on the corner then a Azteca walked right out of their backyard. Also when I attack the Vagos there the Aztecas get involved. Guys in light blue and guys in yellow forming a coalition. Then sometimes when i engage the Vagos there the Aztecas just run. Is this a glitch or just the laziness within some of Rockstars Editors? Also the Aztecas dress in blue but tell out Vagos lines. What’s up with that? Also they could have made Los Santos bigger and expanded the hood across all of southern Los Santos and gave the Aztecas and Marabunta Grande more hoods.

They have the same ped voice group as Vagos. Same goes for the Madrazo Cartel(who have their own ped voice group, but for some reason, use the Vagos voice).

Also, the Marabunta Grande look too identical to the Aztecas. They should've given them a different color, like red.

In my opinion the issue isn't about the SIZE of Los Santos, the main problem is the poor map DESIGN, the map is big but a lot of space is wasted (too many mountains and hills) for what concerns Los Santos, Rockstar focused, for marketing reasons i suppose, in recreating every single bloody landmark of L.A. They were good at it but the result is that Vinewood and Rockford are bigger than whole SOUTH CENTRAL, whoever ever watched a L.A map knows how south central is vast.

To conclude, the problem is that the map wasn't designed to be a reimagined version of L.A, like in GTA S.A, but a smaller replica of it. Therefore the most interesting parts: hoods and suburbs (AKA Ganton, Willowfield,East Beach, El Corona, Las Colinas) were castrated to let space for real life landmarks (like the Vinewood sing, Airport, Portola, Rancho, Vinewood Boulevard, rockford). GTA 5 Los Santos is an insult to GTA S.A one. If a Gang have no real turf, how can it be possibly interesting?

Yeah, I agree with this. As lively as LS was it felt more like an amusement park rather than a major American city. I was also pretty disappointed with its depiction of Silver Lake/Echo Park (Mirror Park) and Vernon/Long Beach (Cypress Flats), they just felt more like afterthoughts rather than actual, livable spaces.

And man, no MacArthur Park, Ontario or Huntington Beach equivalents? These areas felt more Southern Californian than Paleto Bay.

Anyway, back to whining about other stuff. As a person who absolutely hated the hidden packages minigame in past GTAs, I didn't like how 60% of the side missions involved item collection/destruction, and it's not just 1 item, we're talking 50 to 100 pieces to collect! It just feels very tedious and chore-like. I mean I'd rather steal trailers of vehicles, blow up a shopping mall or shoot up a gang bar for a crazed, methed-out stranger rather than collect a hundred fragments for a short cutscene with no reward tbh.

I've only played GTAV so far, but it seems to go the route of so many other AAA games these days, in which gameplay takes a back seat to the aesthetic aspects of story, characters, environment, etc. and graphical realism.

Despite what some people say, these things--including graphical realism--are important, but a game is always limited by its gameplay. I want a game to be as technologically impressive as possible, but if I had to choose, I'd rather have awesome gameplay and less wow factor than the other way around. Those are the games that you still play and enjoy 10 and 20 years later, long after the technology has become stale.

I just started another game of Gta 4 and I still prefer some of the physics there.

Like crouching on spot (enemies in gta 5 CAN do this) and clinging onto things when climbing.

Pushing people or just pushing, the melee combat system in general.

I know it's something minor, but I don't like the fact that Compton is called Davis instead of Ganton 😁

Indeed, i really can't stand this version of Los Santos, i play this game since i was 11 back in 2013 and even in my first runs i felt that South Central area was pretty sore and empty compared to GTA SA, there's nothing to do with it and no real appeal to be there, you don't even have a safehouse there! i don't know why they believed changing the hoods names and layout was a good idea, in San Andreas they were perfect, they were similar to their counterpart and captured the mood of the real city back in the early 90s (to understand what i mean go watch Today Was a Good day video).

I know that GTA 5 has a different approach to the city, the point is richness, not gang warfare, but this doesn't justifies this very weird layout, where Bunker hill is bigger that whole South Central area.

I didn't have any issues with the "Social Club"/GTA V Launcher itself, but when I installed GTA V, there was a ridiculous situation with one Social Club for LA Noire/Max Payne 3, and another Social Club for GTA V, and then at least two versions of the GTA V launcher itself, so it was a lot harder to play the game I payed for than it should have been...

Im kinda out with GTA V.

I mean I still play GTA:San Andreas or Vice city till today, but GTA V is obsolete for me after one year of playing.

There are zero fun side mission after you beat that story . Zero memorable points of interests on map. Every game mechanisms are half baked. No viable income, through game.
Mechanism are half baked I mean for example car customization. We had almost same garage space like in GTA III, no car insurance. City feels empty because lack of interior.

Driving with cars is more arcadish that in Midtown Madness 2 back in 2001 .

Shooting I feel like Im using some magic deadly pointer.

Radio is quantity over quality. One good song is wrecked by dozens of sh*tty songs.

GTA V is probably the best candidate for delete because of RDR2 disc space. Im aware that RDR2 brings new headaches for me, but worse that GTA V that cannot be.

Waiiiiit a minute!

I agree with basically everything you say regarding lack of gameplay, low quality gameplay, shooting, customization, and driving. This big, extremely realistic world, with plenty to do everywhere you go--as long as all you want to do is EXPLORE, lol.

I don't agree about the radio, though. The radio should be realistic, which means a ton of variation. No matter how good a song is, you don't want to hear it every single hour. It's not supposed to represent your own personal song collection. I actually thought the radio didn't have near enough variety.

Also, you shouldn't have to be deleting any space for RDR2!

A 3,000 GB Western Digital HDD is $70 USD when it's on sale, and the Samsung 860 EVO, which is the best SSD available for gaming, has been $125 for 1,000 GB or $270 for 2,000 GB. My 750 GB 840 EVO is 6 years old in February, so you can plan on using the SSD for a long time. Even keeping an SSD for only 5 years comes out to $2 per month for 1,000 GB, and $4.50 per month for 2,000 GB. There's simply no excuse.

What you do is purchase 3,000 or 4,000 GB HDDs, and copy your games over to them so the most you ever have to do is download a patch if you ever want to copy a game back over to your SSD and play it again.

You only played GTA V so far as you wrote before so you cannot compare to other games or gta, I started with GTA 2 in year 2001.

GTA 2 is more fun than GTA V, like every era of GTA offer less fun than era before.

i dont give a f about HDD, I dont collect games that I dont play . Constant online patches with added data are true buzzkill to me, because I dont play online part of game.

This world is empty, there arent any true remote areas. No true sign of dense forests. Everybody I mean cougars or civilians try to kill me on sight. This world feels like poor mans model train layout. San Andreas map from 2004 feels bigger and more fun till today.

I think you misunderstood. I agree with what you are saying about the world and the gameplay. In fact, the only thing I disagreed with regarding GTA V was regarding the radio.

I don't play online either. All I was saying about HDDs and SSDs is that if you can only have one or two games installed at the same time (even at 150 GB!!), then there's no reason why you can't have a larger drive, as the prices are far lower than they were even a couple years ago.

I don't usually play more than one or two games "at the same time", but I like to be able to keep multiple games installed so that I don't have to go through the process of downloading and installing and configuring every time I get the urge to play.

Game runs fine for me now. Turns out I had an older version of Menyoo that kept my game from starting.

Anyways, anyone else notice that some of the "FIB" agents in The Bureau Raid (roof entry) are actually IAA agents?

Characters, again. The character categories in GTA Fandom are just laughable.

Many of the so-called "main" characters can't really be called main characters, but rather supporting characters at best. Stretch, Wei Cheng, Solomon Richards and Molly Schultz? Seriously? I'd say even Ron and Wade are more of supporting characters than main ones, in contrast to Dave Norton or Lester Crest. That applies to Brad as well. He was one of the primary reasons of Trevor's anger towards Michael, but aside from that, the guy had nothing to do with the entire story apart from the Prologue.

Most of the so-called supporting characters aren't any better neither. I mean, come on, can you really consider characters such as Simeon Yetarian, Andreas Sanchez, Elwood O'Neil, Patricia Madrazo, Rocco Pelosi, Tao Cheng and even his f*cking translator anything more than "minor"?

So, what's my point here? Unfortunately, the game doesn't have enough characters that can actually be considered to be main or supporting characters.
