I deem a good crew when they let you do ONE thing:

Let you keep your bounty.
When you have a bounty, may it be $1,000 or $9,000, they'll say, "hey, you got a bounty" but won't kill you. I do that with my friends but they sadly don't always return the favor. Everyone is so damn hungry for blood, it makes me think twice about "violence comes from videogames".
If I find a crew with that attitude, I'll join even if I gotta play GTA V wearing a pink, tight leather suit and a pair of bunny ears..

They should just kill you and give you the money as to not allow you to be hunted from randoms (unless you want to be).

Having the message, "You survived your bounty" is more rewarding than seeing "x player killed you and claimed your bounty".

Plus, if I had a cool crew, I wouldn't bother with public lobbies. I understand people being mad with losing a bounty because it could count towards an award or actually need the money. I'm saving up for a supercar and every single bounty counts. When I have one, I go into a private lobby and do stuff there. In deathmatches and missions, I pick up all fallen money. If they have money to spare and 9K is nothing to them, then yes, they are pussies. But for us that need the money, don't be so judgemental.

 

Also, bounties look for trouble. They're killing everyone and got placed a bounty by a player, are in a tank or a helicopter/jet.

When you're just driving by someone and they shoot at you, you shoot back and kill them in self defense and they place a bounty on you, it sucks. The worst is having a random mugger on you because you know some dude is watching you on his TV and you're out in Paleto Bay by yourself doing nothing.

I have too much money to take bounties lol even when I kill randoms I send them back 100% of the bounty. But it's all about the sport.

That's why it's a trait I enjoy with crews. It's something I enjoy, it's not "surviving a bounty" to its core, really, it's showing companionship, that I can trust these players. The usual GTA player will kill me in two seconds of having a bounty. Also, you can't survive a bounty in real life, you're hunted down until you're either in jail or dead. I don't see the point of arguing over something I look for in a crew, it's not like you're the one doing the searching for me, are you?

 

I've let myself get killed to get rid of a bounty before in a public lobby but for the most part now I just don't bother putting up with people. It's f*cking free money.
