Gta o was my first ever online game.. (Been playing the series offline from gta 3 and over 1000 hours playing time in san andreas, didn't care much about IV). I was so competitive because I actually cared about stats and wanted to built the ultimate character, I actually had won over 100 races with less than 20 loses and never let my guard down in free mode, I was good at playing, not good as most of you guys but good, but now I suck! I don't even end up finishing races, I usually rage quit, because of, catch-up, slipstream, pit manoeuvring, auto-aim, tanks, police, traffic in full lobby races and the f*cking invisible mechanic. I'm not complaining about the game, I'm just telling you guys I can't deal with these problems as I used to, nowadays I'm on cruise mode because I got everything I wanted to accomplish in online, there's no inspiration for me to go on, I guess I've become a role player now, what can I do to go back to my old mental state when playing online? what inspires you when playing? I don't wanna quit gta o

If GTA Online was your first ever online game, I feel bad for you. You've missed a lot of great online games that are WAY better than GTAO. I've pretty much given up on GTA V's online ever being something that's worth a damn. With all the exploits, glitches and sh*tty gameplay mechanics there's really no reason to play this game competitively.

Join a Crew make friends and have fun, Hell for sport with my friends we place bounties on each other either race around the map to see who will chase and how long we last or take up in a building and shoot it out with people trying to collect. Do that.

You probably don't suck. The problem is that when it comes to killing other players online is that the players with the crappiest connections can dodge your bullets all friggin' day. The only weapons that seem to do immediate damage are the explosives and the assault shotgun. I've died after headshot-ing and rolling a guy for fifteen seconds with a combat MG. The rifles feel weak and prone to lag for me.

Exact same story as you bro, I feel your pain but you're gonna come to realize the most badass players in gta are the ones that don't give a f*ck lol slipstream/catchup is easy to f*ck with just watch your rearview and when they try to pass you hit the break and put them on the back end of their car (if you don't do it to them, they will do it to you)

 

And in free mode I don't war with peasants, I don't shoot on site and if someone decided to kill me then you can bet they're gonna get spawn killed by 4-5 players cause I only play with my boys aha

 

If you're on ps3, add my Psn which is amir11, I'll invite you and make sure you start having fun again

Anyone who believes that joining a crew like IGN to have fun is a troll for me.You never get to know anyone in these crews and every crew member is killing each other.

Crews like IGN, MP3 and such are only good for the purpose of having a larger invite pool. That's all.

 

You're better off looking here and seeing if there are any crew you like, then go from there.

I've also gotten kind of bored with the usual so no I try to help out lower level players rank up and make money. I'll usually start a rooftop rumble and invite anyone in session that's under lvl 40 then take them on a series of harder missions or cruise around with them causing havoc. One guy the other day had a 7k bounty after we got out of RR, so I let him know that I don't care about a measly 7k and hung around helping him kill bounty hunters until one finally got him.

 

I also pay attention to the kills going on in the lobby and if I see a higher level or group picking on one guy I'll go and try to even up the odds. Most lower levels appreciate that kind of stuff and it lets them know not everyone online is a d*ck.
