What's with the automatic objectification?

I've been reading a little bit, and it seems a player's K.D is region of automatic objectification. What's with people having .6 K.Ds to be little kids who are bad at the game who "use assault shotguns" and "spray with miniguns" but people who are actually skilled and avoid death and create mayhem, in other words hackers or tank griefers have 2.0 K.Ds. I mean this isn't really a competitive, PVP BASED, and take a close look at the word BASED and know that I realize there IS PVP in the game, but the game doesn't really revolve around it. Perhaps if you looked past the ignorance that the commoners of the GTAF bestowed to you, and think that maybe the people with .6 K.Ds aren't bad, but maybe some asshole spawnkilled him, when he didn't deserve it. Maybe that guy whose K.D is over 2 takes cover and knows his way around a gun, or maybe a tank. Just some food for thought.

K/D means absolutely nothing in a game wherein it can be manipulated so easily.

KD it's BS, I can say from experience. Mi KDR a couple days ago was 0.92, and I decided to raise it, so I started killing the guys who shoot at me, I tried to play TDM's in the proper way, etc. In two or three days, My KDR turned to be 1.03. I killed like 200 players in those days. KDR it's not about skills, it's about how much you want to raise it or not.

It's too easy to go on a tank rampage and gain k/d.

 

If the sole point of the game was to kill the other person (CoD) then k/d might have a slight bit more meaning. In GTA it just says all you do is kill others for your own jollies.

I like the K/D ratio added to GTA Online. It's another goal (Goal=3.00) I have to keep me going and not get bored. I try to kill three opponents before dying in deathmatch. It's fun hearing myself rage when I'm the first person to die! I don't take it serious, but I like to have fun with it.

Yeah I thought it was going to be a complaint about how when you don't touch the controller for a while your character begins checking out nearby asses, even as a woman, which I thought was the aforementioned "automatic objectification" lol

I'm on just over 2 k/d and have never hacked and I think I've used my tank twice, both times to take out other twankers. A k/d above 4 or 5 then I'd be suspicious but 2.0 just means you kill people a bit more than they kill you. I don't go attacking players for no reason either.

Whenever you mention K/D ratio....these people will show up out of the woodwork to "brag" about something that is completely and utterly pointless.

Key word, manipulation. If you focus on it as mentioned its not that hard to raise. Just depends on if that is your thing. I feel bad killing low levels and almost never kill first. Mine shows .95 but I thinks its this character only as the numbers don't jive and I was like .65 on my first one up to level 70.

 

I have seen pop ups where people kill a weak or low level ( low health) player multiple times. It's probably a seven year old and they just keep going.

I can't speak for the other people you quoted but I posted my k/d because the OP made an erroneous statement in his post. I'm not bragging as I don't believe k/d is an accurate measure of a players skill. I meet plenty of players with a lower k/d who don't have a problem killing me and I've killed plenty of players with a higher k/d.

I understand what you mean OP. I don't even own a tank, used one only once, never spawn kill but my k/d is over two cause I'm very leery when players come into my area and am always better safe than sorry. I mainly got it that high by getting bounties put on me then defending myself from some cover. But when I was lower level and my k/d was 0.5 I thought to myself "this is BS, ppl are gonna think I'm some sort of noob or just bad at this game and not wanna play with me." But the low k/d was more the product of my inferior arsenal of weapons and once I unlocked the assault rifle it started slowly climbing

Anyone who uses an assault shotgun should def have a k/d > .6 even if they are little kids
