okay...so i just got 4 months & 7 days of bad sport

No tank griefing, no sticky bombing lots of personal vehicles, this is all very silly ...somebody reported me for something a few days ago (goodness knows what) which instantly put my player status at 'dodgy' and nothing I did got it back to 'clean'. Then today I went after a bounty while I was in a buzzard, hit this guy several times with rockets but he just wasn't dying, so in the end I just dive-bombed into him to cut him up with the chopper's blades. Unfortunately for me he'd managed to get himself into passive mode with a bounty on his head, and hence killing him instantly condemned me to over 4 months of bad sport. What a ridiculous system, it's as if Rockstar were desperate to find a way to deter people from playing their own game!? They'll not be getting any cashcard sales from me...not with 4 months of this sh!t. Anyway does anyone have any tips on how to reduce the sentance a little? or any glitches that might help me here? Thanks in advance for any answers.

They won't change that sh*tty system lol you can wait to your hat come off to go to a clean player lobby temporarily & do jobs to "decrease" your time but sadly no one really do jobs in bad sports

that sucks OP. I blow up players pv with my tank for fun and never gotten badsport or had to pay for their pv. some couldnt even get back their pv LOL. seems like rockstar favors all the assholes like me and gives the square clean players the finger LOL.

Ask other players that's in the bad sports lobby to comend you and you do the same for them. 4 months in bad sports is a long time the longest time I had was 1 week and this was in the beginning of gta online was released. It sucks being in bad sports lobby nobody plays any missions or do any kind of jobs. But if you are level 75 you can farm rooftop rumble for 4months LOL..

I didn't realize you could go passive with a bounty. I tried that last night and it told me it wasn't possible while I have a bounty.

Bad Sport was implemented to stop this kind of thing happening. People don't seem to learn that going around causing mayhem is going to get you Bad Sport-ed.

Which is pretty stupid because this is Grand Theft Auto we're talking about. Causing mayhem in general has always been a big part of the game.

 

You should only get badsport warnings if you can't afford to pay for the insurance of the vehicle you have just destroyed.

 

Provided you CAN afford the insurance, you should be free to blow up as many PV's as you wish.

 

Having to call up Mors Mutual, and then your mechanic after having your PV blown up is not that big of an inconvenience.

Until you get your second PV blown up within a minute, then you have to wait for your mechanic's cool-down time or drive the f*ck over to impound or back to your apartment....when you're up on the north of the map, it sucks.

It IS possible. simply change lobbies and spawn in your apartment. Go Passive mode. When you leave the apartment you get the bounty notification.

Im actually ok with bad sport being in the game but it needs to be reviewed and changed big time and applied only to grievers and those who kill passive mode players using vehicles knowing they don't want to engage in fighting. I agree that bad sport for destroying PVs should be reserved for when you cannot afford the insurance on the vehicle you destroyed.

I don't know how he did it in real time, but I think you can be passive with a bounty if you do a Character Swap from your other character, which you have switched to passive, over to your character that already has a bounty.

 

I'm always getting bounties from NPCs for jacking their sh*t vehicles. So if I can go passive with a bounty (using the method I mentioned), and if some asshole will get a bad sport for running me over in that mode, I'm going to do that all the time -- just stand in the middle of the street with my passive bounty and let 'em get condemned.

Also seems like the guy the OP attacked was in passive the entire time since he said he wouldn't go down with the rockets. The bounty guy should be the one in bad sport for glitching into passive mode

I always thought killing passive players wasn't condoned as "Bad Sport Behavior". The patch notes said you have to pay their medical bills, says nothing about bad sport points being awarded for it.
