Aeromarks
I was a huge fan of the Cops n Crooks game mode in GTA 4 and have faith that Rockstar will be bringing it back in a forthcoming update as it was so popular. My idea is a Cops n Crooks infection mode, simply once a Crook is killed or dies he becomes a Cop. The infection game type has always been hugely popular in my opinion because of its casual nature and dynamic structure and it forces teamwork to survive. It would be perfect in an open world such as Los Santos. The aim of the Cops is to kill all Crooks within a time limit that increases with every kill or convert (+1min maybe). The aim of the Crooks is to escape and survive until the time limit has expired. The teams would start off asymmetric in both size and weapon power. 1 cop to every 3 crooks, so that in a 16 player game, 12 crooks face 4 cops. The weapons would be restricted to lower powered weapons (pistols) for Crooks and high powered (rifles) for Cops to avoid Crook domination over the Cops and to encourage the need to escape. Crooks would spawn on foot in a circle perhaps slightly away from the road like in GTA 4. Cops would spawn a distance away next to police cars and perhaps a police helicopter (3 bladed transport) that a teammate could shoot out of in car chases. All Air vehicles, boats and super cars would not spawn in and phoning Pegasus, Merryweather, Lester and Mechanic would be disabled to stop impossible scenarios arising. I understand that this game type is susceptible to exploitation by people glitching under the map or purposely trying to reach, unreachable places that seems to happen in every infection game type. To counter this many of the places that usually spawn aircraft or boats will have the police helicopter/boat instead, that will only be accessible to cops (like locking a personal vehicle). This is to give the cops the ability to move quickly around the map when needed. The size of the map could perhaps be restricted to just Los Santos or Blaine County if it worked better. I can understand that a game type like this may be difficult to implement in GTA Online or not be suitable, and instead could be job for the modding community when GTA 5 is released on PC. Ranna
Pretty good idea, but make the time limit longer, 15-30 minutes. Adding 1 minute per kill is crazy short. Los Santos is a big place, and it takes longer than 1 minute to chase down 1 guy down an alleyway. Good Idea though.
