oGeesKeeMasK
Over the years I have made many or plenty of attempts to cut my gaming habit out, all things considered you'd think that it would've been a whole lot easier but it wasn't, it's taken 4 Xbox 360's (3 phat, 1 of which was brand new with an estimated value of $400 dollars including an unopened copy of GTA IV from Gamestop, 2 of which couldn't be DIY recovered from RROD and 1 slim model), 2 original Xbox consoles (1 modded) and a host of purchased and repurchased game titles. After all of that comes the accounts, some which will expire if the website they were registered to even still exists, others where that same rule does not seem to apply, like here at the GTAForums for example, I mean it covers a great title series but when it's over it's over, I have nothing left to offer the R* community, so why can't I have this last shred of proof of my whole "ordeal" with R* eradicated immediately? Why do I have to wait for something that might not ever happen? Do these accounts expire over time? You know for a bunch of spam and troll haters you all are sure sympathetic in an area where you should be a lot more firm, kn'mean? Staten
You know, if your account was deleted, you wouldn't have been able to ask for it to be deleted, so it's kind of good it was still open. Â Seriously though, it's useful that accounts aren't deleted, specifically where trolls are concerned. Â To free yourself of the worry you seem to have, change your password to a random collection of letters, numbers and symbols, then get on with your life. The only person who will be searching for "proof" of your experience with R* is you. Edited April 10, 2014 by Staten
oGeesKeeMasK
Ricochet! Boom! Kudos, points! Why doesn't R* like kudos anyways? I like kudos I hate that website moderators are only hired through their web accounts though I should get me a job as a moderator; does that job have any perks by the way, seriously, as long as I am not completely removed I might as well make good use of the access, right? Tank
Â We have absolutely no problem disabling your account so it cannot be logged into again. However this will not remove any public content you have contributed. Â As your posts are part of topics that are readable by others, deleting every post would destroy the forum content and topic readability. Â We have had major problems in the past with unauthorized people requesting account deletion. We have no way of guaranteeing the authenticity of deletion requests, so we would rather limit the potential damage that can be done than provide a nuke-all option that many people would prefer us to deliberately not provide. More often than not bogus requests come from real-life "friends" or family members, so we cannot rely on IP addresses. Â Bear in mind that like all public forums, content you contribute is in the public domain and is available on other sites such as archive.org even after it is removed here. Â I am not surprised that there was another reply to this thread, only that there was an ounce of unquestionable intellect embedded in it. There ought to be more people like you on the job Tank. As for my part in the GTA community, I am happy to leave it as a precedent, to me it was a legacy and maybe I will return as an active user one day but for now I must take my place among other "retired" gamers that have travelled this long windy road that has kept our molecular structures perking the whole way. Until we meet again. Edited April 10, 2014 by ThumbRehab
