I'm afraid for my beloved Canis Bodhi that sits precariously in Slot 1. Due to the slot 1 insurance glitch I have lost five trucks, two Bodhi's, a Cavalcade, a BeeJay XL, and a Granger (my first car in GTA:O).

 

Before patch 1.12 if the insurance glitch happened I could go to story mode and "steal" one from Trevor. However now that the newest update has removed most duplication methods, I am afraid that if this one gets destroyed then I will lose yet another truck.

 

Yes Rockstar did claim to have fixed the insurance glitch, but they also claimed to have fix armored trucks spawns and we all know how that turned out.

 

Yes I could also try to submit a support ticket if I lose it but I've read many horror stories about that not going so well on this website alone.

It's not hard to walk into your garage and hit down on the d pad to see if a car is insured or not. If you do this whenever you walk into your garage you will never lose a car again.

lol the Jackal has been in my first slot for a LOOONG time. I couldn't keep track of how many times the car blew up, but I'll tell you, it was a lot.
I don't get this insurance glitch at all, it's never happened to me.

I'm used to calling the mechanic for my Bodhi whenever I'm in Sandy Shores or Paleto Bay, it would be a major pain to drive all the way back to the city just to get one truck and take it all the back to the top of the map

So check when you leave your garage or go to binker's garage quickly and check

 

I have my f620 there and it always takes me forever to find one so I'm careful

I have been playing since day one and have never lost my slot 1 vehicle. Seems to me that most people who lose vehicles and things like that are the ones who "exploit" something in the game. Just like illegally downloading the recent Batman games; the game will recognize its illegitimate and thus they purposefully malfunction to PUNISH you.

You have been able to buy the Bohdi from one of the websites for a while now OP so dont worry too much if you lose it. I got mine from "Dirt Track, Im not too sure if that one is still store-able or counts as a mission vehicle now

It doesn't matter, don't listen to these guys.

 

The insurance can disappear while you're out with the vehicle, meaning checking for insurance before you leave with the vehicle is pointless. So it's up to the owner to either take the risk, or don't use the vehicle at all until it's confirmed fixed.

Don't play in public lobbies. You will most likely NOT lose your truck if you play by yourself. (Unless, that is, you throw a grenade or sticky bomb in the wrong area)
