This second incarnation is even better than the first. Simply awesome. In GTA terms it feels like a natural successor to Vice City FM.

Every track fits perfectly with the exception of Samantha Fox. Good god man, kill it with fire. The woman should stick to taking her top off. Otherwise, I think you're doing yourself a discredit by describing these as the usual hits. You've obviously put a lot of thought into your selections. This isn't one of those horrible 80s pop party compilations that turn up every year around Mother's day.

Here's my attempt at a classic rock station, which isn't normally my forte. What do you guys think?

Great job. You've got a near perfect blend of heavy and soft rock here. I appreciate your song choices. You mentioned something a page or two back I think about these stations being for a Liberty City add-on for online. They lend themselves well to that whole lone wolf and living job to job theme the GTAO protagonist has going on. Invisible Sun is such an obscure track it may as well be the best selection of the entire station.

The random 80s pop hits are out of place. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is an exception, but Dexys and ABBA are way out of whack. Going from

to
just ain't working.

Hope that's the feedback you were looking for. Your playlist for The Classics is equally as good and I'll wager that you know this already. :^:

I was thinking of removing that song for a good while, now I think it's a good decision to just outright do that.

Thanks for the feedback. I decided to include ABBA and Dexys because I believe they fit under the "pop rock" or "new wave" category of classic rock, and LRR's counterpart LSRR did. Although I do admit it would be weird to hear ABBA followed by Guns n' Roses.

I'll come with a station later, just need to listen to some female-fronted rock/metal bands because the only one I'm really familiar with is Evanescence.

It would be good if you guys add links to the songs, that way no one needs to copy and paste the names to check them out.

About that, I based the setup similar to RLS in GTA V by including a variety of rappers. While there are plenty of East Coast rappers present, I decided to mix it up with Southern, Midwest, and West Coast rappers as well. Thanks for the feedback though, and I'll definitely look more into the rappers you listed.

Can I get a response to this? Is it good? Does it suck donkey balls? What songs would be good to add? What songs whould not be there?

By the look of Dave Lee Roth I'll bet he's deep throated a few donkeys in his time.

Seriously man, hell of a job. You've literally chosen the best songs on offer by a lot of these guys: 'Man on a Silver Mountain', 'Catch Your Train', 'Atomic Punk', 'Love Gun', 'Rock Bottom'. Who can argue with Dirty Deeds? Plus you've got Thin Lizzy in there so you get a thumbs up by default.

Billy Squier sounds out of place. A little too much 80s clap-your-hands concert rock for this station, ya know?

You should also replace 'Her Strut' and 'Mississippi Queen', the first was in GTAIV and the latter got added to V. Credit where credit's due though, you came up with it before the game was released. You've already got Leslie West on the station, so why not add some Nazareth in place of Mountain?

:^:

What do you guys think?

Sounds a lot like my childhood. Make of that what you will, for something you threw together on a whim it does a good job of capturing the sound of a decade.

Bittersweet Symphony -- someone needs to recreate the video of that in GTA.

[The Vibe 98.8]

Neo-Soul, R&B, Soul

DJ: Vaughn Harper

You've captured The Vibe well here, just like you did with Liberty Rock Radio. The balance between classic and contemporary R&B/Soul is spot on.

I've got to mention 'Never Never Gonna Give You Up' -- that has to be the best opening 45 seconds of any song ever. :D Teddy Pendergrass song is perfect too.

Including Ray Parker/Raydio is odd. It would work on Space 103.2 but not the Vibe. It would be better replaced by some

or similar.

San Eduardo Rock Radio (San Diego):

  • Blue Oyster Cult - (Don't Fear) The Reaper (1976)
  • The Rolling Stones - Beast Of Burden (1978)
  • Joe Walsh - Life's Been Good (1978)
  • Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth (1967)
  • The Band - The Weight (1968)
  • Joe Cocker - Feelin' Alright (1968)
  • Dave Mason - We Just Disagree (1977)
  • The Marshall Tucker Band - Can't You See (1973)
  • Stealers Wheel - Stuck In The Middle With You (1972)
  • Derek And The Dominos - Layla (1971)
  • Ten Years After - I'd Love To Change The World (1971)
  • Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing (1978)
  • Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run (1975)
  • Steve Forbert - Rome's Tune (1980)
  • Steve Miller Band - Take The Money And Run (1976)
  • Robbie Dupree - Steal Away (1980)
  • Jim Croce - I Got A Name (1973)
  • The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary (1985)
  • Phil Collins - Another Day In Paradise (1989)
  • Blackfoot - Highway Song (1979)
  • The Who - Pinball Wizard (1969)
  • Orleans - Still The One (1976)
  • The Outlaws - Green Grass & High Tides (1975)
  • Free - All Right Now (1970)
  • Grand Funk Railroad - We're An American Band (1973)

Cracking song choices. :^:

As close to K-DST I've seen. I'd love to drive through San Diego with this in my ears. Get a twisted kick out of mowing down peds too.

I think

would be amazing on your station and for the setting. Don't Fear The Reaper works just as well, mind you.

For my upcoming GTAO Liberty City concept thread. It's mainly the LC equivalent of Non-Stop Pop FM, since I can't imagine GTA without a pop station now.

Pop Central 106.1

Pop

The songs you love, even if you say you don't.

(2014)

(2013)

Charli XCX - Boom Clap (2014)

Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne - Rather Be (2013)

(1983)

(2000)
(2014)

(2012)

(2003)

(2013)

(2005)

(2005)

Hozier - Take Me to Church (2013)

(2013)

(2013)

(2012)

(2014)

(2010)

(2011)

(1983)

(1986)

Sam Smith - Stay With Me (2014)

Soft Cell - Tainted Love (1982)

(1994)

It's a pop station, so I know that by nature it's going to be very polarizing. Still, I'd like some feedback on how good it is as a pop station, and the song selection for it.

So it's the same odd mismash of 80s-2010s pop like in V?

It is the LC equivilent of NSP after all. Though, I don't think there's enough pre-2000 songs on there, mainly because I'm not very knowledgeable to 80s pop music that hasn't already been on GTA, and 90s pop music really went down the sh*tter.
