Hint that thebankofliberty.com is used when you go to liberty city

the thebankofliberty.com in-game website for your money? it's gotta be planned. what do you think?

They also have a website for escorts does that mean they are planning on letting us order escorts off the internet too?

Just because it there doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Yes there can; and yes, it will cost you.

I see them add Northern San Andreas. And as new loaded maps Yankton and Liberty/Alderney state.

If there will be a release on Next Gen, then there is no limit.

Indeed just because its there it doesn't mean it has to be used, it just makes sense to have it there because it's the GTA universe, the Bank of Liberty exists within the universe so does the internet so it just makes sense to have a website for it, just like the real world.

And yes, I'm pretty sure the system can handle a little map extension, especially when other games have managed to cram in such huge maps like Test Drive Unlimited (which came out like a decade ago) and Just Cause 2. But If they're planning it, it most likely won't be made any time soon.

Oh yeah you're right. I have TDU 2, but that game is extremely glitchy. I don't see the point though of adding LC. Just expand LS with more stuff I suppose.

I'm talking about TDU 1, which managed to replicate most of the island of Oahu on PS2.

And Daggerfall had a map the size of Great Britain on my windows 3.1 PC. The level of graphical detail in V is substantially higher.

I'm not saying LC couldn't be added but using older games (particularly from earlier hardware generations) as an argument doesn't work.

You can't compare the level of detail & love put into every corner of San Andreas to the maps of a racing game & Just Cause 2, which I believe was randomly generated, kinda like Fuel's was.

It'll be way too much for the console to handle if you ask me. A map expansion that large is too much.

Yeah but they can do a map load when you're crossing the map to the north east. Turn off Los santos and turn on Liberty City.

I have thought about this since before gtao was launched...around the time R* were talking about gtao continuously growing and expanding into new areas.

i've been thinking about this but could there be an GTA V map expansion in the future that would allows us to go to liberty city or fly there by yourself and use the thebankofliberty.com in-game website for your money? it's gotta be planned. what do you think?

Be able to get missions from Little J, Packie, Niko Bellic, etc. i can imagine how liberty city would look like in detail compared to GTA 5

I've been thinking about this, but would you know how many seconds of daylight there are in a day?

Time would probably change by 4 hours game time

Or maybe when going to join gta online it will ask which map you want. Tbogt was a different map than the gta iv story thats why when joining with the dlc it took ages. Its also why tlad disc and dlc users couldnt play together as thier maps were different. When you had the eflc disc tbogt and tlad used the same map. Tlad had grainier textures tho. The different map I mean was that tbogt map was btighter woth better graphics. On dlc tbogt was standalone while tlad used the original gta iv map. Not tue enhance tbogt one. If they already did this 6 years ago why couldn't they port lc over considering its on the rage engine. All tehy woild have to do was a few retextures to improve it

Sir Michael

Trevor has a Bank of Liberty account in SP. I think that's the only reason why it's in this game to begin with. Lol

The Bank of Liberty site exists because it's the bank chain Trevor uses in SP.

Basically this^^^

In sp Micheal uses Maze Bank while Franklin uses Fleeca and Trevor uses Bank of Liberty.Mystery solved(not much of a mystery anyway).

I see them add new cities definitely;

Disclaimer: This is my take and guess for DLC, so these aren't even rumors; just speculation and logic thinking :p

Rockstar said that GTA Online will be an ever expanding experience with new maps to come. We don't know their definition of "Maps". But GTA Online is already starting to get the same; and R* knows that. So I think they will do the following.

The maps will NOT be free. you have to think about expansions like the WOW expansions. You have to pay for each expansion; and you can only travel in Real TIme to a few expansion parts.

GTA V: Liberty City (mentioned A LOT)

Liberty State/ Alderny State will be eventually be accessible by airport, you have to load the map entirely and the other map will not be loaded when you are in LC) The map would be expanded a bit; as was first intentioned for GTA IV.

Price around $19,99 to $24,99(Single player dlc will feature 2 to 3 heists and weapon Vans. also recurring characters)

My guess is that they will add GTA V: Northern San Andreas as an accessible map eventually (with a big bridge close to Paleto Bay) which you can cross in real time. This will push the limited hardware to its limits.

Northern San Andreas will most likely feature:

County:

Red County (already mentioned multiple times in GTA V)

City:

San Fierro (mentioned multiple times)

Towns (for now GTA SA names, but probably will get other names):

Palomino Creek

Montgomery

Blueberry

Dillimore

Calton Heights (district San Fierro in HD universe, mentioned.)

Paleto Bay was already featured in V :) (GTA SA name: Angel Pine)

It will also feature two to three new heists for single player and a new army base in the east of Northern San Andreas.

Price around $29,99

In about a year and a half it is too long to not switch to Next gen for R*, so R* will release the game with the maps above on Next Gen for $59,99 to $69,99 with a few updates of textures (ground will be HD).

In two/three years GTA V: Las Venturas (mentioned a few times) will be released as a DLC for $29,99.

This will feature the city Las Venturas and a few villages/towns (as in GTA SA).

OR

GTA V: Vice City (mentioned a few times) will be released, which you can access the same as LC, Airport Only.

I will be Editing this post a few times today.

AGAIN Disclaimer:

This is my take and guess for DLC, so these aren't even rumors; just speculation and logic, when I look through the eyes of Rockstar and Take Two; this idea would be a money hoarder. :D

on a different server yes, ps3 just couldnt handle both maps side by side, two tanks on a server at the same time causes enough trouble for gta v alone, nevermind a whole new city, there is no way they could have 16 players spread out that far doing different stuff and have all other objects loaded in, there just aint enough memory for that

Map size isn't really the problem. This is because the map is loaded in cells. That's why you see so much pop ups. If all would be loaded at the same time it would be a problem.

Explosions are heavy for the server; that's an issue. But the game could easily handle an extra city/island.

GTA uses cell loading, the entire game is NOT loaded from the start. This is also why freezes occur. To much high resolution textures loaded at the same time. A new island won't be a problem, you just need 10 gb of free HDD space.

Freezes can ONLY be fixed if the rendering of High resolution textures is a smaller area.

hope you understand what I mean? :)

aye ok man, this is one of these where we will just have to wait and see i guess, im gonna stick to what i said before sorry, if they ever bring out a liberty city dlc that is side by side with san andreas on the same server on the last gen console, you come back here and give me a heap of abuse for it and say "i told you so" :colgate:

Hahaha, no I don't meant Liberty City; that would be unreal because of the "distance" in the GTA universe.

I meant Northern San Andreas with San Fierro ;-)

The problem with most games is that they indeed run out of memory (I look at you SKYRIM!!!) A fix for this is that the Render Distance is decreased.

Map size is mostly limited to the space on the disc; but if you only sell it online, no disc space is needed. So map size is in fact unlimited for as long as you have enough HDD Space. :p

If you decrease render distance, pop up will increase a lot.

Render distance (high resolution textures, etc.) needs RAM memory

Map size needs mostly HDD space

if you want max of both; well then you need a NEXT GEN console or a HIGH END PC.

FYI: I hope I wrote the correct names; English isn't my native language; but I think I used the correct terms and names :)

hehehe so true. Remember that GTA Online is limited only by RAM; so map size shouldn't be a problem.

Higher resolution textures however... :S will break it more... (freezes etc.) R* make the RENDER distance smaller!!!

Still not the same. Every bit of GTA V is handcrafted with details you may not notice at first glance. You can see that R* put work into all of the map. Roads have different textures, etc... TDU reuses most assets like buildings, trees, signs, road and environment textures. If TDU had the level of detail like GTA, even Ibiza of TDU 2 wouldn't have fit on Ps3...
