Does anybody know the formula for Bad Sport..?

Sorry if this has been covered..

 

Just wondering if anybody here knows how it works, i guess specifically in relation to blowing up PV's..

 

Does it tally it over a number of sessions/days, or one session.

 

Reason i ask is that i received a good sport payment of $2K, about 15 minutes later i blew up 2 griefers cars within 5-10 minutes of each other and i was put in bad sport for 4 days.

 

Just find it strange..

The bad sport system is stupid but I enjoy it. Just don't blow up PVs or quit jobs and you'll be fine.

Yeah same here i don't get how it works either, i been blowing up a lot of PV's and have never been put in a bad sport lobby.

Brian has answered some questions about this, and he has said that he blew up a certain amount of cars in a month(I believe he said 350) and that was why he became a bad sport.

Don't really know anything beyond that.

 

I think the BS system is stupid anyways. Paying for your car should be enough.

And they need to fix the crap where people can put their cash on a secondary characters wallet to avoid paying, that's BS.

Yeah i find it really strange, i blow up a few every session but nothing excessive, never quit any jobs, very rarely get reported.

 

Not sure why.

 

Sometimes blowing up a PV is unavoidable, i tried sniping a guy from long distance while he was driving away. Hit his car and it blew up.

One time this guy ran into me when he was in his car and I was in mine, threw a sticky on mine and blew me up. It said I destroyed my car and his. I wasn't pleased.

OT: two cars?? I would think it would be from blowing up more earlier that day but not if it gave you the $2000 GSR. Then again, I've got that while on a tank rampage so...

I call BS. From my understanding receiving $2k is a reset. A cleansing of your gta sins. So I highly doubt 2 vehicles after you would end up in bad sport.

As for an actual amount of cars or formula? No one truely knows because R* hasn't said. But i can tell you I frequently blow up ppls vehicles at mors n the impound. Never been in bad sport.

there is no formula, they just change the criteria as they see fit. that why they never published some sort of rules.

 

now if you piss off a crew, they can all join and report you and you end up in bad sport.

 

bad sport is the worst thing ever implemented in the entire franchise!

I'm hardly going on a rant threatening to burn Rockstar to the ground, like alot of people around here crying foul and i'll stop playing the game..

This actually happened, which is why i was surprised and was just asking if anybody actually knows what the protocol is.

 

Logged on was playing for maybe 20 minutes, jumped in my buzzard killed another guy in his buzzard.

 

Got a 2k bonus for being a good sport.

 

Landed on a building, some guy started shooting at my Heli.

 

Shot at him and blew up his car by accident, must of just hit a sweet spot.

 

Fell off the building and died, then got spawn killed by 2 guys in an adder for the next 5 minutes.

 

Called merryweather chopper and flew back up and got my buzzard, chased the 2 griefers, they hid in the tunnel under Rockford Plaza near LS Customs. I flew low and fired into the tunnel, got lucky and blew them both up.

Were you a dodgy player before becoming a bad sport?, I tend to let up on all the no-no's when I see that status change; however I don't know much about, I haven't been in there in ages. The last time though (my second occurrence) I had stopped blowing up pv's for nearly a real life week, as well as staying in jobs; but one day I quit a vehicle death match and got put in bad sport Immediately for 5 days... because that's what I do naturally when I use the death match option under quick job and the host starts it before I notice its a 20-30 minute vehicle death match with tanks " You guessed it its my favourite "

 

Pretty sure bad sport is more lenient now..but still that sucks I'm sorry.

I don't blow pv's up any more unless a player comes driving out of the blue tossing sticky bombs at me like he's on a paper route..forcing me to react hastily; I wouldn't have such a big issue with sticky bombers if they didn't stash their cash on other characters as often as they do.

I try never to blow up PVs, but I was in a mission (Four Trailers) the other day and one of the randoms who joined had parked his Entity in just the wrong place. I minigunned one of the Grangers which arrived after you collect the trailers and it took his car with it. Cost me nearly $10k in insurance (the mission only pays about $5k) and got me a bad sport warning because he was an idiot

well I was going to write code for how it probably looked, but then I got lazy. basically it woukd work on a point system.

 

so say the threshold was 30 points, as long as your bellow 30, you will get good sports money. destroying a car could be worth 1 point, doing a job could be worth -1 point etc. they could also remove .1 etc for gameplay time without doing a badsport act etc.
