I can still save Canis Mesas...

Friends of mine have tried it, to no avail, but I'm still able to save them in free roam. I should note that I had one saved since week one, I'm referring to the fact that I'm able to save new ones.

 

Anyone else experienced this?

No-one can save the Canis Mesa. It is a terrible car.

 

 

But to answer your question you cant save the ones from gang attacks or missions anymore. The ones from mercenary attacks can still be saved as far as AI am aware

Friends of mine got a notice saying the vehicle couldn't be stored in their garage. I was then able to drive the same car into mine. This was stolen from Mercenaries.

Did you happen to put upgrades on the Mesa before your friend tried to garage it? I know the last update prevents you from being able to mod an (untracked) car and give it to a friend to garage. This is the only thing I can think of which would allow you to store but not your friend

No mate, no modifications whatsoever. As I said though, I have a fully modded one already stored, so maybe that's what's causing it?

I dont have much of a clue then. Maybe I3AZZAI2 is onto the answer with who called the mercs. It might be a new change in the patch.There might be something in this thread http://gtaforums.com/topic/699833-ok-what-has-112-changed/

I called the mercs on a friend, and then saved this.

You cant save this vehicle if you get it from a Mission

 

it can be saved if its stolen from from the mercs if you or someone calls them in on someone

I did this last night 4/9/2014

In a open friend session i called in the Mercs on another friend so we could steal the vehicles....

 

3 of us all total stole the vehicles and put them in our garages, then went to customize them, they could be insured also, and could be upgraded........HOWEVER we could not sell it,

the option was there on the menu but if we tried to sell it we would get the message that this vehicle could not be sold.......all 3 of us got the message, we did not do any upgrades for the other...we simply stole them drove them to our garage for the free tracker, then went to LSC.. I did put insurance one mine and couple of cheap upgrades to see if it would allow me sell it afterwards......nope ..same message as before this vehicle cannot be sold ............I guess LSC is scared of Merryweather

You can still save cars from missions but I haven't tried gang attacks yet.

When you bring a car back or spawn back into free roam with a mission car, drive it into one of blue circle job triggers, get out of the car, you'll automatically pull out your phone and enter that job.mission,race,etc. when you can, quit and you'll spawn back rite outside that blue circle/job trigger with the vehicle parked on the street near by, that car you'll then be able to keep like any free roam car. Just do this away from other players, it doesn't seem to work if there's another player near by watching you.

Did it with a Gauntlet found in the parking lot of Roof top Rumble and a Sentinel convertible found near Martins during the mission High Priority case.Both could not be stored prior to pulling it into the job trigger.

I know the Gauntlet spawns in large groups but this one was in the green color you unlock by completing stunt jumps and a buddy had not unlocked that color yet and wanted the car.
