It's mostly the stupid kids that know Bugatti because they think that because it's the most expensive car, it's the best. On a side note, it really irks me when they pronounce it "Booogatti". Isn't it supposed to be "Byugatti" like the people on Top Gear say it?

Im pretty sure that's just because they have British accents, but I could be wrong.

That's what I'm thinking too - you can't take Brits seriously with that accent...

Well I am half British and half Asian, so I guess that's why I think it's the Brit way.

I always call the Blista Compact a Civic, but that's probably the only other car I call by its IRL counterpart. Blista, to me, equals minivan.

No chance a civic it looks like a volkswagon golf or polo

I generally call cars by their real life variants if the resemblance is very strong. Some cars I just prefer the in-game name. I'd say I'm 50/50 and often use both interchangeably.

Confusing real cars with GTA cars shows a lack of mental capacity.

Every car is just a look-alike not an actual licensed duplicate.

just because they arent carbon copies doesnt mean they arent modeled after a particular car or 2. whats the problem?

Nope, I never call GTA cars by their real life counterparts. Especially when most of the cars are hybrids of two or more real life cars e.g. Monroe, Gauntlet and Cheetah.

I agree with you really but since the old blista compact was basically a CRX...

but when you KNOW what car(s) it's based off of, i wouldn't call that lacking

i only do this with two cars, the Adder and the Vacca, because both sound weird to me and i don't like the way they sound being used in a casual conversation, as the names of the cars they're based off of naturally sound better to me

sure, none of them are 100% replicas, but i'm not gonna call a car by it's ingame name if i don't like it, just for the sake of purity

EDIT: I call the "coquette" a corvette too...coquette sounds weird to me too

Because Bugatti is easier to say the Koenigsegg. Entity is a lot easier to say.

Lol at everyone getting so angry over the pronunciation which is often subject to change from place to place. In America we call it the way we call it, and I won't stop for you. And I think "Byugatti" sounds stupid, just like you think my variant sounds stupid.

I'm certain there are plenty of foreign derived words you don't say the "proper" way, but you seem to have some sort of elitist mentality over this one for the time being. Pull the stick out of your asses, please.

Just ask a Brit to say "aluminum" or an Aussie to say "vanilla."

Also, anyone who says "wanks" is a wanker.

Someones a bit full of themselves, OP wanted to know why everyone refers to the Koenigsegg as the Entity and I said because its easier to say. But you jumped to the assumption that I didn't know how to pronounce it. Bit of a d*ck move. I wouldn't mind you telling me how to pronounce it but you were an a** about it. Anyone can say Koenigsegg just sound it out but it doesnt change the fact that Entity is easier to pronounce. I suggest you read what people post there's a difference between "Entity is easier to say" compared to "I don't know how to say Koenigsegg someone please tell me".

Because Bugatti is easier to say

how is it easier to say? It's an extra syllable

Because it is more clear. Adder is just about the literal onomatopoeia of a stutter, where as Bugatti is a pretty naturally enunciated word. I always call it the Bugatti but I honestly couldn't tell you why.

For some strange reason I find Bugatti to say as I don't really like the Ad-der the double d's subconciously seem to annoy me and I feel Bugatti flows off better.

If by "Aluminum" you're referring to the metal the rest of the world knows as "Aluminium", then yes we do pronounce it differently because we spell it correctly.

It's a Fisker Karma. Chrome wrapped cars are terribly ugly, in real life and in game.
