What if GTA Online turned into something like the Sims?

This is just a random thought that popped into my head, but it got me wondering...

Would people enjoy it more, or less?

The more I play this game, the more I realize that GTA could turn into its own virtual world. If R* were to add things like businesses, stock markets, families, etc etc, it really could become a self-sustaining environment.

Would that tempt you to play more, or do the majority of people want it to stay the way it is?

It would be fun, but only if it had the crime aspect still in it.

This reminds me of when people were complaining you can't go to a grocery store to buy things and do chores outside of your house..

Black Rabbit

It could be a little more Sim-ish, but not too much. No family because children/teenagers can't be in the game getting shot up.

It would be nice if players could get married but yeah no kids.

I would love to have a virtually wife, a digital love. The girl should be Jennifer Lawrence, or my crush (damn, after she got that wavy bob).

It would probably have:

Dating

Starting and raising family

Reg jobs(taxi,paramedic,police,firefighter & etc.)

Owning pets(like franklin with chop)

Maid service

Paying taxes

More natural disasters(wildfire, tornado, earthquake, tsunami, and etc.)

Hunger(like gta sa when you you had to feed cj every 3 hours or so or he'd die lol)

Plastic surgery

Buying and owning businesses&property

Take out loans

ReModel home interior

It would be fun to make your own house/mansion and make a bigger garage. But it wouldn't be fun to do honest jobs. And you couldn't go around a chair that's in your way.

Depends how all those variables affect the feel of the game. If we turn it into the Sims it will feel like the Sims. If we turn it into SUPER AWESOME AUTO SHOTGUN RAILSHOOTER GUNBLADE TYPHOON 3000!, then it would feel like SUPER AWESOME AUTO SHOTGUN RAILSHOOTER GUNBLADE TYPHOON 3000!

I actually wouldn't mind a little more simish. It may or may not decrease player vs player in free roam.

My wife's Sim died because she was too hungry and too tired at the same time and couldn't figure out how to do one of the two actions (eat/sleep) first, so she died all alone curled in a ball in the little hallway between the kitchen and living room while her husband was at work.

The only thing worse would be for the game to turn into a giant FurryCon with mass yiffing.

Than I'll sell it back to gamestop before I spend the rest of my life playing gta v all day.

:^: OP. GTA0 needs Sim / Second Life functionality as new, optional modes, to increase its richness, replay value and player population. I have a partly -composed topic that I may complete sometime, about how and why GTA0 could benefit from incorporating some aspects of Second Life as new, optional modes.

Miss Malevolent

Gauging from some of the replies...many of you haven't played Sims 3...

Trust...if GTA turned into The Sims...I'd shred my disk. If it turned into the Sims 3...that wouldn't be bad at all.

I played it once, and within 3 minutes of creating my Sim, they got hit by a falling Satellite. Didin't play for 3 months

Unless I can trap other players in tiny rooms with no doors and set them on fire, I'm not interested.

I was just thinking that what this game needs is a meter to tell me when to poop.

Second Life is more than that. This is like saying that GTA0 is a stunted World of Tanks piloted by trash-talking infants...oh....wait....sorry....it is :p

Jimmy. Tracey. Other than that, it would be simple just to leave them at home.

It'd be good as a different game, not GTA.

Basically if Rockstar had created Second Life but good.
