Why did my car die?

So I was going through the sewers and being careful when going up the steep slopes so I wouldn't launch into the air and hit the ceiling/sides. I braked going up one slope and stopped at the top, the car was suddenly dead:

The car wasn't damaged from gunfire and the engine wasn't smoking, just crunched a bit on the front.

So why did it die?

P.S. They broke my watch!

Doesn't really look like there's any water there, but maybe it flooded...have had cars die out in the smallest of 'rivers' before.

I just left my garage, froze like 3 times in quick succession, like a slide show, then my car appeared halfway down the street, halfway into the ground and wouldn't start... I can only thank R* and their hard work patching bugs

Had this happen shortly after Online launch. Just park into this dirty water, get out & try to get in again. Doesn't work because the car is dead. Happened to a buddy too, when we were exploring the underground. Why this happens? I dunno.

Maybe you damaged the bottom of the chassis. It happens in real life too.

How are we supposed to know?

I'm terribly sorry, I thought you knew everything. :p

I thought it might be water damage, but it's not very deep at all in that section, I've driven through deeper without issue.

Entity is a bitch, Infernus never dies, that's what happened.

Could be the water...(can't tell if it's sitting in water or not)... My 4x4's die randomly sometimes when i'm playing around streams or lakes.

Edit: ninja'd but having the tires of Sandking sitting in water had killed it on me before. Not even touching the body. It seems like a timer or something to me.

I used to have a Jester that was suicidal. Whenever a friend was in with me, we get out, set the access to no one, I get: "Your personal vehicle has been destroyed". And it's still drivable. Wtf.

The key is that you were going slow. It also looks like your car is using the lowest suspension...which shouldn't even matter since the exhaust pipes for that car ar in the middle of the back (cars flood when exhaust pipes go below water line) but it does. I've had a car flood out on that tiny creek that's only about two feet wide and 6" deep.
