Jester oversteer?? there is nothing wrong with the handling, people just drive all the cars in the same way, you cant drive a rapid gt like a feltzer...or a comet (you need more "foot" work)

who said it oversteered? just the opposite was mentioned. and in my case that wasn't to criticize it, it's my favorite ride in this game and i love its handling.

i took out my buffalo the other day since i haven't drove it in quite awhile, come to find out it doesn't handle as well as it used to, as a matter of fact, it doesn't handle very good at all. did R* mess with the handling? if so, what other cars got the handling messed with?

Don't even get me going, they should've kept the driving physics the way it was in IV.

IMO driving in IV sucked, i hated driving in that game

I was a massive fan of driving in IV, I'd just turn the game on to have a cruise many times, however, I disagree. It needed polishing. Firstly the cars tipped too easily and they didn't feel very fast, aside from that, which is an increase in speed and a little more weight, it's be perfect for V! I do think the crappy arcade handling is more suited for V though because it's a bigger, more complex map.

I remember when this game first came out, before any patches, the driving was ridiculously arcade like. I was under the assumption I would have IV's handling, and I knew from the first mission with Franklin and Lamar, the driving was going to suck. It has gotten somewhat better, but nothing to where it should be as far as the handling is concerned. I've gotten used to the driving, but I would welcome IV's handling back with open arms.

Same here. The night V came out me an my buddies all fired up the game and all looked at each other in awe in the first mission like how did the fawk this up! Up until V the game physics were getting better with every game and now they went backwards. Of course iv wasnt perfect but V sure wasnt a step in the right direction. V is just too easy arcade like stuck the the road with no excitement. And its weird because the cars added with TBOGT like the bullet where perfect imo it had less body roll, less traction control, and a good torque curve down low. Blows my kind what they did.Even the helicopters are screwed up! You can no longer pitch foward from a stop and tilt it right into the ground the game takes over and pulls back! And the simulated turbulence wiggle is a joke... Ive been in helicopters and its smooth as silk unless you are in the mountains up high or its stormy not every second of the day in sunny california.

 

And heres another thing. I used to have 4 friends that would play IV with me all the time right up until V. Now none of them play it saying its boring as hell. I stuck it out pretty long but now i havent even played it in a week. At this point i play it for on foot combat or flying planes otherwise im waiting to see if the next gta is on track.

Your right IV wasn't perfect but it was a hell of allot better than SA. As far as V, they went 5 steps ahead with the aircraft handling, and 5 steps in reverse with the car handling. They seemed to have tweaked it somewhat better through the patch releases. I'm used to it, so it doesn't bother me as much as it did, before the first patch was released. They basically caved in to all the whining 12 yr olds, who cryed that they couldn't take 90 degree turns at 145mph, without flipping over 40 times.

yea, me and my buddy were GTA IV warriors, i mean we did everything together on that game from piloting to drifting with mods to do drive bys with a dukes. GTA V is too easy now but i still have fun on it occasionally, my buddy wont play it cuz it's so noob friendly, driving is easy as making a sandwich, you cant pilot choppers for sh*t anymore, you cant have much fun with a motorcycle anymore...

Exact same page here. I have a buddy who has played every gta the same as me growing up from gta1 on (im 22) and we used ro play IV almost evey day for two years after release and atleast once or twice a week after up until V. Now he wont play it unless we hang in person and even then he gets bored in 30 mins.

 

And yeah the motorcycles are probly the worst. I used to have so much fun in IV ripping the Nrg900 around peeling out through 5 gears, rippin around in skate parks, doing crazy jumps. Now its just murderd.. Dont even get me started on the atv's lol..

 

Anyway its just plain not as fun to drive/fly anything to IV. If anyones wants to Play IV let me know. It doesnt freeze too which is nice

i found a small way to enjoy ATVs,

head to the park in the center of the horsetrack, youll see ATVs there, i love driving them through the ponds in the park because they glide and you can pull wheelies.

GTA 4 physics would never work in GTA 5. Cars go so much faster in GTA 5 that the cars from GTA 4 would flip on every bump. And don't get me started on how super cars had unrealistic suspension.
