Grinded my ass off getting to level 50

So that I could unlock airstrike.

 

Only to find out that it's total crap. Half the time you miss the target completely and the other half the bombs hit you because you can't throw the flare very far.

 

This needs addressing.

In Black Ops 2, you take out some iPad with lifeproof cover, where you can set the coordinates for your airstrike.

 

Yes I know, CoD, but a similar thing in Online would become handy.

Good way of committing suicide and ensuring you take plenty of the bastards with you..

 

Or.. good for removing a sniper if you can go off radar, go underneath them then get the air strike to launch on the building above you - just be damned sure you're inside the building if possible!

Airstrike is only useful when somebody is at a static location.I heard somesay if you throw the flare on a truck and hit your target the airstrike might just hit it.

In some situations it isn't that bad. Someone with a bounty hide himself in the ammo-nation today. He was in the room between the sale-room & the shooting-range, camping. I didn't want approach him because he may had a assault shotgun, so i've thrown some ( 6-7 ) tear gas in his corner & 10 seconds later he runned into my fire. Tear gas win!

Tear gas will be used on Heists also on capture mode it´s useful if you know how to use it.

I wish we could swap out the tear gas for some proper smoke bombs that put out gobs of smoke for a good few minutes, combine those with 'off the radar' and it could be rather useful for escaping from your enemy.

 

Also they'd be fun to lob into the back of your Sandking and drive around, leaving a huge smoke trail. It works with the tear gas but not a lot of smoke and for not very long.

airstrike does have a cool use, if someone is on a rooftop and you wanna kill them, you can drop the flare right near where their dot is on the map. It'll kill them. Doesn't work for all buildings though.

 

edit: assuming they're at the edge of the rooftop and shooting people.

instead of some bootleg flare Merryweather should splurge on a laser gun that you just aim at the desired location until jets arrive. That way you can aim at a MOVING TARGET!!! And everyone won't see red smoke from three miles away.

 

but I also like using the flares for rooftop snipers.

 

In a new patch maybe we could use both. Only the laser will cost a hell of a lot more.

The best use for Airstrike is when you are hanging out with friends goofing off or chilling out. Alla sudden you run up and throw a flare in the middle of everyone. LOLZ!

My experience is that if you can hit him with the tear gas, you could have hit him with a grenade. The radius for tear gas damage should be much larger. Haven't tried many times though.

Never tried to use it in missions but all the missions are easy as hell with guns anyway. On auto-aim, that is.

 

Anyway, tear gas is supposed to be for crowd control right? Good luck controlling any crowd with this crap. Am I mistaken in saying that the radius is about the same as that of a grenade? Haven't used tear gas in a while, but the only time I tried to use it I tossed it at a player who was behind cover, waited for like 15 seconds, then said f*ck it, tossed a grenade and killed him.

As long as GTA0 is going all COD military anyway (and it is), what we need is a laser designator function, so that you can set the airstrike with a laser designator option, then get in a helicopter with a friend and have him keep the mobile target (i.e., tank) illuminated so that the airstrike will rain death on him.

Tear gas is a bit weak. Its not supposed to be lethal I know but it should affect your aim or do something. If your in a tear gas cloud can only fire from the hip or something. Cant aim your weapon properly. Or use lock on.

 

At present ypu can sit in a cloud ofngas happily. Does damage so slowly that a $1 dollar choc bar is all you need. If your health even gets that low. Where if it disrupted players aim it would at least have tactical advantages. Lob it in a grouo of 2 or 3 people and pick them off. Help even the odds when your outnumbered

OP once you get past 100, it's smooth sailing leveling up, as long as you don't dick around in free roam.
