I bought mine in red and managed to get the top-down version the first time, same in SP. Funny thing is, I kinda wanted it with the roof up... but I love my Stinger, and wouldn't trade it for anything except something like one of the old long-as-hell Deusenberg two-door roadsters... And even then, it would have to have outstanding performance to get me to let go of my Stinger.

Well i have a soft-top Stinger, i didnt even knew there were no-top Stingers....

Maybe it's irrelevant but i read in an old posts about buying during the daylight vs buying at night might contribute to getting top up or down. After getting two with the top up i bought the third around noon on a sunny day and got topless one. Could just be coincidence but you never know. All 3 were red btw.

I read a theory about whether or not you are in your garage when you order different cars. No idea if it's true. I got my hardtop banshee first try but not sure if there's any truth in that.

I tried day and night, 3 different colors, but I ordered the first 5 from my garage and the last one I ordered from my apartment. Might be on to something.

In sp all body styles are 0 if you look in the save editor. You will always get top down in sp lol

The GT looks different and is significantly faster.

Is there still a way to store SP>MP cars that cant be driven into your garage normally? If so, I might get a lag switch just to get the car. I'm not wasting a ton of money on it and my SP characters all have ~650M so that's not an issue.

 

Bought one in SP. Convertible first try and its red. Downside is its raining!

Yes....now you have to click on a mission invite that someone in a different session sent you, that is the only different step from the old Capt Vees method

I started with a little over $3 million, after mods on the Stinger I'm down under $300K with a week until the update. I need to get CCIII back, I could grind that for $200K an hour

Matte + Pearlescent is perfect for this car!

 

...and before you trolls murder my choice in rims, I love them, they look like typical muscle cars when you darken the color of the lip. Diamond rims also improve the functionality of this particular car, decreasing the understeer by a factor of about 60%.

 

 

...after you buy one, the Grotti Legendery Motors narrative says "If you're unsatisfied with this car, buy another one." lololol I think R* purposefully made the drop top hard to get. I luckily got mine on the 1st try.
