3 Best Sports Cars in GTA?!

Recommended Posts

Ok so I used to always drive super cars and after driving them a lot I'm like 100% sure that the 3 best super cars are Entity XF, Turismo R and Voltic, I know everyone wants to see an Adder in the top 3 but seriously it has the worst handling of all supers adder and bullet are tied in last place for handling, I chose voltic because even though its slower than the others, it has amazing handling, its the most compact car of all supers and being electric is super silent making it quite cool to drive around.

As for the sports I haven't driven a lot of them but now that the High End update will release soon I will have enough garage space to hunt for some new cars, I'm not a fan of off road cars and muscles (always like the fast cars I know very boring) so I'd like some advice on the best sports cars in the game. My guess right now from the cars I've driven and seen are Carbonizzer (sorry about the spelling), Elegy and the new Jester which have really good handling and are quite fast, please add or correct me if there are better sports cars than the ones I mentioned as my current top three, thanks.

For pure racing? Elegy -> Jester -> Feltzer.

Outside those three things get a lot more even when all the cars are fully modded, personally I like the Banshee for a good blend of everything and it's balance.

Many of the Sports can get oversteery when modded which is controllable but does slow you down. I love the Carbonizzare, especially in free roam and for it's sharp handling but it doesn't equate to great progress on a track as you're always fighting the oversteer (it's the most controllable car for me though, you can really enjoy it!).

Agree, Elegy-Jester-Feltzer

All three are the best as Mods, handling and speed

Nope, not at all. The Elegy is by far the fastest on the track, top speed doesn't mean much unless you're doing Route 68 or similar. And I hate the Elegy.

Any driver can win in any car, some people are good, some people are bad - I win loads of Super races in my Vacca too. The car is just one factor! :)

well, you won't beat entity in dump... unless the entity driver is a complete retard, but i don't think someone can be that stupid.

Funnily enough I was going to suggest Carbo, Elegy and Jester. I've tried most of the Sports class and those are the three I'm competitive in; the Comet is quick in a straight line but impossible to keep in a straight line. The Rapid GT (coupe, not soft-top) is quick as standard but the mods don't maintain that advantage and it understeers like a pig looking for truffles. I really wanted to like the 9F (coupe again) but it was almost as twitchy as the Comet and not as fast in a straight line. The Surano and Feltzer are competent but dull and lack an advantage in any area over my favoured three, but I didn't keep them all that long so both might be worth further investigation.

The Elegy really is the quickest though. I resist using it to race because I don't want to have an unfair advantage. I don't like it, and didn't buy it for ages due to my snobbishness about it being free, but I grudgingly accept that it is very capable.

Same here, I thrashed my other Sports lap times with it but had to sell it, just felt cheap and easy like an Entity. That's probably why I use a Banshee now, which is far better modded than most think!

The Banshee is nice to drive as standard; I've never owned one so haven't modded it. Must give it a try when we have 10 more spaces!

Actually the Carbo is really good. 2nd best top speed in the game (a fully modded one can keep up with an Entity), and if you're skilled and can handle a car with a loose end, then it can be great. It was the first car I ever bought. I checked GTA5Racing stats website and I won 80 races in it and lost 4.

In the hands of a skilled driver it can be the best. But the majority of GTA Players aren't the best, so yeah, the Elegy's just as good

I have a Banshee but find it can spin out really easily, though I wouldn't say I am a good driver.

Jester I use quite a bit because of it's bulletproof back and in terms of performance compared to its cost it's pretty good value.

I really like the Carbo as well, it was my main racing car for ages and I won a lot in it (current record is something like 211/225 but that includes all the early races trying to get wins to unlock mods), thing is a lot of people are bad at racing so it's possible to win in anything, and likewise lose if you're rammed at a bad moment, catch-up etc.

The problem with the Carbo is that while it's very controllable, far more than a 9F or Comet really it still kicks out at the back, you can totally control that and get around any corner in it - but at the same time an equally skilled driver in an Elegy will have gone around that corner with no kick-out to control and maintained his speed. I much prefer the Carbo but all things being equal it's around mid-pack on a balanced course, one with more long straights it will pull ahead and the lively rear is also good on the really tight drift tracks.

Coquette is the funnest sports car imo...it's fast and handles great...but I think the carb is probably the best for racing

Sports class is pretty tight, I wouldn't say that a certain 3 cars are the best, there's a bunch cars in that class that can compete with each other. Jester, Feltzer, Carbonizzare, Elegy, Coquette, Banshee and Comet are all more than capable racing vehicles.

I enjoy racing in the sports class, and I have tested most of the cars in tight races like thrills in the hills. I have my own carbonizzare, feltzer and coquette, and my fastest lap in the carbonizzare was 5 seconds slower than the feltzer, and 3 seconds slower than the Coquette. The carbonizzare is a great car but for races with many turns you lose a lot more speed than the feltzer. Out of all the other sports cars I've tested that were available to choose before racing, none of them were as fast as the feltzer.

I've tried the elegy and jester in single player and they are the only other race worthy cars since they handle so well and have great acceleration.

Elegy wrecks all. Jester 2nd although after the elegy the sports class is pretty well balance between the top few.

The Carbo is only good against people who don't know what they're doing or on tracks without corners. Its lack of traction makes it woefully inadequate when it comes to competing on blanaced tracks against the best sports cars. I think the best time I've seen on Cutting Coroners for an Elegy is 54.5 or something along those lines. A carbo is never getting that kind of lap time. Feel free to try it yourself.

Doesn't the 9F have the best stats overall?

Top speed 8.3 Brake 3.3 Accel 8.3 Handling 7.7

Elegy has no brakes at 1.7

This topic has really been discussed to death. The Elegy might as well be a super car.

Me personally , I can handle a Carbo, I also like the stability and traction of the elegy, so I would I use the Carbo for races where a the handling of the Carbo could come in handy and the elegy for a races with extremely sharp and quick turns.

I've been up against a jester in a drag race with my 9F cabrio, and that thing destroyed.

Futo - a lot of people like the drift feel the futo gives, so if you see another futo in a mission, you guys will probably have a mini drifting sesh.

So IMO elegy=Carbo ( if you're good at correcting your steering)---> jester----> futo ( someone's sandking was keeping speed with my futo)

I use this forum post to see what's the fastest cars http://gtaforums.com/topic/690178-1000m-drag-race-the-ultimate-test/

That's just a straight line speed/acceleration comparison, doesn't really equate to racing. ie: the Rapid GT is fastest accelerating but it's terrible in actual racing.

True, it has terrible handling
