People buy adders to be douchebag trolls no to show how rich they are.

So, anyone that chooses to buy an Adder is a "douchebag troll"?

Explain to me why the Adder is, according to you, the undisputed "douchebag troll" car to own... What is so special about the Adder that makes it the prime car for "douchebag trolls"?

-Bill

Adder and Entity

They have a bulletproof back which trolls love since they aren't able to get shot much.

Those are also the two most expensive cars... Coincidence?

But, the Bullett, Vacca and Infernus have bulletproof backs as well... I think a few others do, too. Why aren't these "douchebag troll" cars too?

Cash Cards aren't a problem. Cash Cards are the most basic kind of micro-transaction there is; Real Currency for Virtual Currency. This has been around for years and years and years.

Micro-transactions are not an inherent problem. The only time a problem arises is when the people in charge of them mismanage them. That is the fault of the developers and publishers, not the concept of micro-transactions themselves, which have been greatly and unfortunately twisted over the years.

There are things about this game that make it look like Rockstar is trying to push their Cash Cards.

The prices of pretty much everything in Online are grossly inflated.

Changes have been made since the release that seem to make it harder for people to obtain things. No more giving away money or vehicles, payouts for jobs are adjusted, actions have been taken against grinding missions, etc.

The Roosevelt. It was a time-limited, expensive and very hyped up vehicle.

I could go on, but I'll stop there.

Are things like this intended to push them onto people? I won't say either way, but the possibility of this exists and shouldn't be dismissed.

However, we must also take into consideration a few other factors. Rockstar has said that Online is intended to last for years. We can look at these changes and say that they're intended to slow things down or to take a while to achieve. The possibility of this also exists and shouldn't be dismissed either.

Now, while those may be possible motivations for the actions Rockstar takes with this game, that doesn't mean that they are good actions. But it also doesn't mean that they are done with ill intentions.

The biggest, most important factor we should consider is that this is new territory for Rockstar. Sure, they've made online portions for other games, but Grand Theft Auto: Online does more and takes it forward. Rockstar is trying to give Online an MMO kind of feel, and this is where problems begin to arise. They've never done anything like this before.

I'm not going to bother delving into hacking and modding, but that's definitely made things way more difficult for Rockstar and it seems like they weren't ready for it.

I wanted to say a lot more and go into more detail, but I'm getting restless, so I'm just going to sum up what I've already said. tl;dr below

They want the game to last and they need a constant flow of money, but the way they structured the game is something new for them. Basically, they just don't have a firm grasp of what to do.

1. Cash Cards are a revenue stream.

2. Online is supposed to last for years.

3. This is all new for Rockstar.

Throw all three of those into a blender and you get GTA: Online.

Oh my god another "original" Cash card whining topic! WTF.

For the amount of entertainment value I get from this game I feel it is well worth the $20. I'm around 20 days or so in game time online = 1 dollar for 24 hours! hell I cant rent a 2 hour movie for a buck! That's about 1 hour of work after taxes for 1 $20 cash card. Hmmm compared to grinding or glitching the $/hour tell me buy a card if I need in game money which has never been a problem yet!

1. seriously? another cash card thread?

2. Cash cards are a good thing. Players who have less time; buy money to improve what they have.

This is balancing the game way more than no lifers who own the sh*t out of everyone.

3. next to that; with the money they earn; they can give us these free dlc's like the High Life update.

4. Because cash cards bring a continious flow of money in their pockets they can create bigger dlc's and bring it to us for less. *single player dlc and online dlc: Expect SAN FIERRO Lads!

5. feel free to answer on my arguments :p

agree!

cash cards are behind most bad things in this game...

R* put big price tags on stuff, either you grind or buy a cash card.

we shouldnt have to grind to buy stuff, thats not fun. but what other choice people have when they want to have their crew logo on their shirt and have to pay 10k for that. many may not remember but in the early days that used to cost only $100. then they increased the price to $500(small) and 1k(big), then they incresed the price again to the 5k-10k we have now.

something with masks, they are 2x as expensive as they were on the early days.

clothing is ridiculously expensive, on early days clothing was a bit cheaper heck even on the trailer...

gta-5-online-trailer-launches-with-huge-

check those prices! now youre lucky if you find a ugly shirt for under $200.

25k for crew emblem on car, 26k for a horn, etc etc etc...

the only thing i believe have the right prices are the cars and the engine/transmission mods.

clothing, masks, guns, ammo and accesories, lsc stuff, all prices should be lowered by 50%.

the game is based around money but that doesnt justify the current state of hyperinflation.

I don't follow the logic here at all...

So you're trying to say that they're fixing exploits in the game... to sell Cash Cards??

wat.

Giving others cars was not an exploit. If I find a vapid dominator I should be able to upgrade it 4 a friend

After this thread, even if someone offers me a cash card with actual cash on it that I could use it on real stuff. I'm going to get sick because of this game... And it really has nothing to do with the "cash card" incident.

Sucker. I glitched myself enough money to buy a house to live in by duplicating cars and selling them at my local service station. I then got a free investment property by using the god mode glitch then spamming the jerk action at the bank manager until he agreed that I would not have to pay back the loan on the proviso that I left his office immediately.

With the recent update they made it no longer possible to mod cars for you to mod cars for others. They patched the easy sp to mp and store car glitch. Its all to sell more cash cards. Yet some people will still not get that cash cards are a problem.

You are the problem. Well, not you specificly, but the people using these exploits. You complain about Rockstar trying to make money legitametly, but you brake the rules of the game. People like that wouldn't be satisfied even if Rockstar donated them money daily.

1. You should mod your own cars anyway...

2. SP2MP isn't patched. However, I'll pretend it has... This glitch makes it unfair for those that play legit, it was a good glitch but still unfair on legit people.

I fail to see why that means they want more shark cards sold. Patching one of the SP2MP glitches is just making the game fair and the mod your own cars and give them to others could also be seen as unfair as some people actually do stuff to get cars instead of begging their friend that has just sat on RR for god knows how long.

My crew logos are free on my first character, only after creating a crew though. My second character for some reason pays 25k when buying a crew logo.

I am done with all the people here that hate glitches and are perfectly fine shelling out more money than 2 dlcs would've cost or grinding thier time away. Im sorry but I study and work and so I get about 8 hours to play a week I would rather have fun than grind because if I can truly earn 100k per hour thats 800k per week its ridiculously low. They should have never nerfed payouts. Whay was wrong with earning 37k per base invaders. Oh I know I was gaining money faster than rockstar could have depleted it. This in turn would mean I was always a step ahead ar never having to buy dem kesh kards.

They tried to balance out the game so that you have to invest time into the game to unlock things (earn them - weird concept in a game I know) so being able to make ridiculous amounts on missions that take like 5 minutes is a bit against that model especially since the missions in this game require literally almost no effort whatsoever.

Did it ever occur to you that there are people out there that actually enjoy missions/jobs and don't only gain fun out of killing the same person in FR repeatedly? The fact that most of your complaints are based off you essentially expecting the developers to cater to your personal needs (mostly childish greed if you basically want everything unlocked for no effort involved) just show how much you intelligently thought into this topic and argument.

Side note: You can make 200k per hour on RR which will add up to a decent amount if you spend a few sessions every now and then playing a mission that essentially is just killing a handful of NPCs and driving. Wow what a ridiculous thing right?
