You say it was removed because passive players cried, I say it was removed because dimwits who treat a video game like a macho dickwaving contest kept hosing down people trying to use passive mode to escape a spawnkill death streak at the hands of 6 guys in tanks. Also, the reason I didn't want to leave was because at the time, there were a lot of people trying to join since we can't have all 100 of our crew members join a crew meeting at the same time. I was afraid someone would join and take my spot. Some dick who joined the crew just to kill people was coming where I was as I was driving back from my garage. He blew up my car, and drove off. I went to get my car from mors mutual insurance, but guess what, he grabbed a firetruck, and this time, he blew my car up again, and when I spawned, he shot me with water until I died, and kept doing it. After about 5 minutes of this, I just quit. They were coming, but they took way too long, so I was gone, and when I tried to join again, my spot was taken. LOL Nobody likes a quitter... For one, i dont have any friends who play GTA Online (no, this is not a "oh poor me" just a statement of facts) and im too incompetent at shooting to be useful to a crew, so i rather just drive around, do some missions, without having to worry about some one track minded jackass who thinks that in an open world sandbox game, killing is the only thing that matters. I would love to be more social, if only people were more cooperative. Like, you know, helping each other rob stores, evade cops, that sort of thing. Jehannum Posted April 15, 2014 Share Posted April 15, 2014 I only noticed this last night when I got into a discarded fire engine. I hope this is not another nerfing job. I never used one against a player but I've been on the receiving end of more than one after going into passive to escape tanks or a gang rollup. Trying to avoid the water jet is just part of the fun.
