Are You A Good Guy?

GTA is known for its shoot-first-ask-questions-later type of gameplay. If a player is near you there is high chances one of you will be dead in the next 10 seconds. If you do a race, you can bet that someone will pit you whenever they catch up. There's many game types that revolve around killing other players but it seems people enjoy killing/annoying others more in games that have no focus on killing.

Despite all the chaos, though, can there be moments of peace? Is it possible for blood-thirsty gamers to help one another that can surprise even the most passive hippie? Have you ever did something to help someone out that just made you glow inside? A moment where you told yourself, "damn, that was really kind of me".

Please post your kind stories here. And yes, there is a Share Your Stories topic but take a quick look and you'll see it's about people bragging how they managed to kill 3 people on their own. Nothing worthy of a praise, if you ask me. So please share your tales of you being a knight in shining armor.

Can be ignored but below is my own story (as an example if needed):

I was doing a race with a level 34, I'm currently level 140. It was him and I in the lobby and he started the race the second I joined, meaning he was probably there for quite some time. He missed the boost on "GO", I got it. He missed the first turn. He was far away by then and he was moving very slowly on the map (maybe he gave up or it was the map that was tough as it was on the side of Mt.Chiliad, a very tight passage with a cliff on the left side for the most part). By the time I reached the finish line, I gussed I had around 30 seconds to spare so I sent him a text message asking if he was going to finish. He responded, "trying". I swear, it was like his words were a puppy doing cute eyes while a man in the background was saying "Praise the Lord" while a choir sang like angels. I waited at the finish line and let him finish. He had a good amount of RP and around $9,400. He didn't send me anything back as a thank you but he did do a LIKE for the race so that was good enough.

That's what inspired me to make this topic. I just made my own day.

Once there was me and another player going to the Sandy Shores airport, and I got there before him, but when he arrived he didn't kill me, he entered the plane and put the GPS marker on Fort Zancudo, so I went there. Later as I was trying to outrun the cops he destroys the cops, helping me escape. One of the best ally moments I ever had.

 

But I'm a good player. If you approach me, I won't shoot you. I'm always peaceful. Too bad there's always an inbred adopted f*ck that will kill you for no reason.

So I'm pretty much AFK, in passive mode, standing on something so no one can run me over or fire truck me. Anyway, I'm not really doing anything when I just decide to check the map out of curiosity. I see that someone is using the Vinewood LSC, and there is a player right outside the LSC, aimed towards it. As soon as the LSC guy leaves, it says that the guy waiting outside killed him.

 

LSC guy = Killer

 

Camper = Goon

 

Anyway, I figured Goon just blasted him with an assault rifle or something as soon as Killer exited, because Goon has nothing better to do in his life. So then I see that Killer spawns outside the LSC area, and is killed by Goon right away. This repeats about another 3-4 times, Goon killing Killer as soon as he is in his sight. I recognized how slow the dot was moving...

 

Tank.

 

I called up Pegasus, and got my Rhino, driving over to Vinewood as "Goon killed Killer" kept appearing on my screen over and over, until I finally got there, blowing Goon up. I turned my turret to Killer, seeing what he would do but he was just standing still, when I received the in-game text, "Thanks a bunch." I was really glad to meet a player that isn't a hostile idiot, since these types of people are one-in-a-million. You can guess what happened next, Goon escaped to passive mode. I drove my tank over to him, seeing him hiding behind a barrier, doing The Bird because I couldn't get him.

 

That only works against dumb tank users like himself, as it only gives me satisfaction since I'm immensely limiting his gameplay. Killer comes over in a Dominator, and just waits next to Goon. We waiting and waiting, I guess Goon expected us to leave at some point, until he tried to make a break for it. Killer rushed him with the Dominator, running him over immediately as I blew up Goon's Entity, not having to pay any insurance costs of course. Then Goon deactivated Passive mode and Killer shot him down, and I blew him up as soon as he respawned. Then the wimp goes into passive mode again, and tried to get me angry by doing the jerk animation on this slightly-elevated platform. I smacked him off it with the turret, and repeatedly crushed a blown-up police car against him until he died, resulting in him leaving the game.

Depends on my mood.

 

Sometimes I like to pick someone up and then spend an hour trying to kill everyone else in the most dramatic ways possible. Sometimes I help others if I'm cruising and they seem in need. I like to pick someone up and stick up stores consecutively, splitting the cash.

 

Recently I've gotten into tank rampages, but I'd never stoop as low as to do all the stupid driving people do in races.

 

Best kind story I have is when I picked a guy up, we went to a store and I went in and robbed it, and when I got out I realised the guy I had driven off in my car. I had three stars so I ran down an alley, killing cops behind me, and managed to get near to a busy road. There were cops about so I was at the end of an alley hiding behind a dumpster.

 

A random drove past, then a few seconds later I saw him reverse back towards where I was hiding and beeped his horn. I jumped in and he lost the stars and dropped me back at my place.

I expected that to be released in 1.12 title update along with Crew Attack Priority.

But it turned out this update didnt have any new features except lesters ability

Whenever I need to get a car out of the impound lot, I sneak eveyone else's car out. One time I was getting my chromed sultan when I noticed a black sultan in the lot. So I got both of the cars out individually. Then, the owner showed up and we drove around for a bit.

Two nights ago I decided to take my Merc Mesa to the swamp area by Fort Z to do some off roading. when I got there someone was already there so I was alert. turns out he had his dubsta doing the same thing so both me and him drove around that area going into the deep parts just to test our trucks out. we were both taking pics of each other going thru the water and just having fun. heres some pics

 

After both our trucks were destroyed i called a chopper and we both flew to the airport in the city. i got my Vestra and flew around him while another "random" came by in a buzzard and was trying to shoot me down while the cops were on him. i kept flying by my offroad bud who was driving cars back and forth on the runways trying to get close to him. He ended up leaving and messaged me saying " Had a hell of a time man, glad to see not everyone is a D!ck on here.

 

Made me all warm inside lol!

Some of those are combined between them, but some of those made me mad just by looking at them

I had a very similar situation to this, but I showed up while he was still in the process of taking my car out of the impound.

What about friendly players who just got fed up of the jackarses' bs and end up killing everyone because they've had enough?

I can imagine myself getting a bad player mentality because of trying to defend myself against all the douchelords.

I remembered another story

 

I was doing a gang attack, one on a construction site with 30 enemies full of blocks, I was taking long to complete it. Near the end a player approaches me and I got bothered because the last time a player showed up when I was doing the same gang attack, it was a twanker trying to kill me. But when I saw he came in a bifta in peace and helps me, then after I left the construction site he starts following me, and I decide to stop and see what he wants. Then he honks his horn at me and we go for a cruise in the city.

I'm nice to the people I kill...I dunno...I've made friends with people after having some epic battles you know?...it's a game and I don't take getting killed in it personally. ..although racers who intentionally f*ck you up can be frustrating, they're probably just bored kids trying to get some lulz so I don't care that much.

I helped a level 4 make a hundred grand by abusing armored trucks. We'd roll up, when the truck stopped at a red light my ward would step out of the car and I'd blow the doors. I call Lester while he grabs the cash, bing bang boom everybody wins.

I also once saved a low level from a pair of griefers with my tank. I continued to show them the error of their ways for like ten minutes.

For revenge I drive over half the map and kill him so he ragequits.

4 players were cruising around in a single car, which made them a tempting target. So I let them know over voice chat I'd cover them with my buzzard.

 

If someone was hostile they put a $1000 bounty on them, and I removed them without paying the insurance.

 

Free market folks. I made money, we all had fun.

I sometimes drive near people in an entity or an infernus and honk at them to show that i'm peaceful. Sometimes they come into my car and we drive around, but if they pull out a gun I can't be shot and will end up killing them with an ap pistol. But most of the time I would always go for a kill whether i'm in a jet, a buzzard or on foot, since someone usually ends up dead when on foot and I'd rather kill them than have them kill me. If i'm in one of those sessions where everyone is just killing each other, I usually go on a free for all rampage and try to kill everyone, since they're all distracted. If i'm just messing around or doing bike stunts I try to avoid most people unless they're also on a motorbike or in passive mode and i would just show them stunts and have them follow me.

I hopped into a Buzzard and headed out to snag a crate drop, but someone beat me to it. He was single-handedly fighting off aggros and cops at the drop zone, so I took them all out with a few rockets. I think he expected me to shoot him, too, because he wouldn't come out of cover to grab the crate right away.

 

That was the only time I was ever nice to someone and didn't get gunned down for the trouble.

Not going to lie im an a*****e in free roam especially when im with my crew. In Los Santos its survival of the fittest and its either be the predator or the prey. Now with missions and races thats a different story.
