Freeaim Capture - No One?

This is not a debate about freeaim VS. autoaim.

So I've been going lobby to lobby, joining public capture for a good 10 minutes yet no one is in the game. Is anyone playing this? I want to play given capture gives x2 amount of RP & cash until Friday (read this somewhere here).

I would assume more people will end up attempting to do it since there's a boost, but considering how free aim can be I think its all gonna be a matter of timing and luck.

Without turning it into a freeaim Vs AA debate; AA servers are pretty much the same, max i've gotten in a single game is five players.

 

Prior to the double cash/RP announcement though, Capture on AA was pretty much dead, too.

I meant.

With the PC release, you will have more people going to free aim, thus as well maybe playing capture mode.

 

Free aim with consoles is annoying and doesn't feel right.

Still not sure what you mean. I think freeaim players who have a decent PC will go for that while autoaim players will stick to console. It's going to be more dead than it is now! I guess I've grown used to freeaim, then again my sensitivity is way down. It helps for the sniper, too.

 

So I found a 3 player game, both of those two were buddies. One guy on my team, the other on opposite team. My teammate ran me over and was the biggest dick I've ever played with. So while capture is empty, no worries, you got two trolls going around (met them twice now). So x2 rewards aren't as worth it as I thought.

I'm in autoaim now. As soon as the PC version comes I'm moving to freeaim. And I think more people think alike.

I don't think much people like the competitive modes, apart from racing. I wish R* would do something like this for missions, since that is what the majority probably play anyways.

well personally, free aim with a kb + mouse is just so much better for me than using a controller. I've never used autoaim for any pc shooting game I've played. But I had to stay with autoaim on V cause I can't just get freeaim down that good and it doesn't feel right, like kb and mouse do.

The problem is not specifically free-aim or capture mission, the problem is lack of a list of open jobs to join. The whole GTA0 job join process is about as worthless as it can be. All these hundreds of thousands of people playing online, but finding someone with similar interest at the same time is like groping around in a pitch black cave.

 

Think back to the old Unreal Tournament days, where you would bring up a list of games to join, and there were thousands of them, showing the map name, who is hosting, how many people are playing, the ping time to the server, etc. It was so easy. And that was on dialup.

 

Using consoles on the internet is like using Compuserve back in the days of 300 baud modems.

Server list, exactly. If consoles could learn something from PC gaming, it's that. Goddamn, it would be so aweomse!

I think amount of players and ping at the ones worth showing.

I've never understood this argument that free aim on consoles is hard and doesnt' feel right. I'm a casual gamer, I'm not elitist. I played free aim until I got used to it...and now I think it's not that hard. It actually makes the game more fun because auto aim is just too easy to kill and too hard to get anything done in capture mode. Auto aim makes capture mode suck.
