Official General
Why does everyone hate it? It's very fun to play IMO. True,I actually love doing it when playing as Michael aswell. @ Blood-Is-in-Diamond If GTA V had a sh*t-eating mini-game, you'd still love doing it. On topic.....I'd like to know what went through the heads of Rockstar's staff when they decided to leave out the real fun and interesting activities from previous GTAs and include this bullsh*t feature in GTA V. Really, I'd like to know. Luddite, GutterMouthPWG, Detective Phelps and 6 others
Detective Phelps
Nobody likes a half portion though. They could have done more with the minigame. It was like the people who designed it thought it was crap. Yeah. We should be able to call our realistic yoga instructor for some realistic yoga. After the realistic yoga, the Player can realistically drive a realistic car to a realistic steakhouse for some realistic steak.
Cutter De Blanc
Or... you know some of the more genuine suggestions in this topic (being able to do it with friends, some reward for it, ect) would've improved it too. Detective Phelps

There is a "reward". Mike get's his special ability bar filled. As for friends, Mike should be able to do yoga with Trevor, or Amanda, or both. I still stand on my comment about the yoga instructor, though. The fee will be $69 per hour.
Cutter De Blanc
I've only done the yoga a few times, but it never raised the special bar for me, Mike's special starts out pretty high anyway. It may have already been maxed out by the time I unlocked Yoga. Driving fast and scoring headshots raises it way quicker.

Voggs
I did Yoga for 7 months or something, in real life, and I was happy to see it in this game, Did Somebody Say Yoga reminded me of my classes. I actually like it too, but I think it's needless in a GTA game, at least it should have been available for the three protagonists. Like tennis. You may argue that Franklin is a "ghetto boy" who doesn't know how to play tennis, but he does become an upper class citizen, so that should've been available for him, too. Yeah, I actually want to play Tennis as Frank. Some sound files suggest that he could play Tennis at some point of development, even Lamar, wich is another dumb decision made by R*. I think I read that in these forums a couple of months ago. krashr
Niobium
Ok, there is no turning back now, I just got to say it: I love yoga! I finally told my family that I love yoga. You wanna know how they reacted? They hugged me. They accepted me. They hugged me really hard. They squeezed me. My father was hugging me from behind, and suddenly my mother makes me hold her ass up while sits down and starts sniffing my dick. No, I'm not a girl, I just have very long hair. So; Remember, if you love yoga, tell your parents, and you may end up in a big yoga-orgy with them. Voggs and Detective Phelps

Sir Winthorpe Herrington
Not a fan of the yoga. The golf and tennis are really high quality and nice but i'm not much of a tennis person. I would love it if they added a basketball mini game in future dlc. It would be great to be able to play down at the courts in families hood. In online, the tennis always lags, and, sometimes, the ball teleports across the court. Online golf isn't that bad, but you can't use the caddy, unlike in SP. A basketball DLC would be great, if done right. It would be a good idea, considering that there is a basketball stadium in the game, the maze bank arena. Yoga was just terrible, but V is still great, overall (except the story). Sir Winthorpe Herrington

Mister Pink
Yoga is an absolute gaming disaster. Even when it was announced it was a met with well deserved scepticism and Rockstar did nothing to prove us wrong. Like zee said, maybe if it was used to increase some other power or skill but it doesn't. Take it out Rockstar, give us something useful. PineboxFiller
I thought it would be a fun interesting diversion like the golf or tennis, both of which are good detailed minigames. The quality and content of the Yoga minigame is so lacking that it feels like it was ripped out of another, much worse game and then copy-pasted onto a random spot on a mountain. Why does everyone hate it? It's very fun to play IMO. True,I actually love doing it when playing as Michael aswell. @ Blood-Is-in-Diamond If GTA V had a sh*t-eating mini-game, you'd still love doing it. Really, I'd like to know. I heard a list the other day that said that activities such as vigilante missions, pool, air hockey, basketball, qubed arcade machine, and some other stuff were all cut before release. I think it just goes to show that they weren't finished with the game but didn't want to delay it anymore. Probably why yoga only has two locations and doesn't have much to it either. It was probably just easy to throw into a couple spots while they quickly finished up the game to release it. saintsrow
Yoga is Rockstar's way of insulting the intelligence of the GTA0 community, And it is very, very hard to find something insipid enough to be an insult to the intellectual capacity of the GTA0 community. So I guess Rockstar should at least be recognized for accomplishing that. Mister Pink
Ben73
Yoga is the Bowling of GTA V. Some people like it, some people don't. I didn't really care for either activity. Nah, at least with bowling you can win. So you have something to aim for. Yoga on GTA V is just a chore. The yoga mission would of had to be the worse in the whole game, by miles. Staten
I think it was a bit of a waste when they could of put something else in its place like surfing or skating It's not really a waste; yoga was developed for to be used in one story mission, only they allowed you to access it outside of that mission and in another location. So it wasn't instead of another sidemission, it was kind of an extra.
