I Wanna Get High !

Dear Rockstar,

 

After today's personal anti-climax, I've made a promise to myself never to get too excited over future title updates/DLC again. With some knowledge that I was going to get at least something new today in the shape of a Capture creator, although if I'm honest, and I'm sure I'm in the majority here when I say...I couldn't give two hoots about a damn Capture creator (no offence meant Capture lovers). So they've fixed things, quite a lot of things it seems, and we should be grateful for that...for all those little things they've fixed that we don't really notice and would we really notice if they weren't fixed. Well, they fixed the SP to MP glitch, they fixed the dupe glitch, money glitch...we all noticed them right ?

 

Can I be completely honest with you, ok then, well to tell you the truth I'm completely bored with the game currently...It's gone more stale than a slice of bread that's been left outside in the sun for a good ummm 2 hours. I just feel that Rockstar are trying to play catch up all the time, churning out tiny little updates and DLC rather than giving us a set date and then hitting us with a huge chunk of DLC that will keep us playing for many more weeks even months.

 

I'm not sure if I read about it on here or somewhere else that the High Life update will be released on 4/20. Apparently 4/20 has some kind of meaning or connection with "getting high", I can't confirm this as a) I'm British and b) I don't smoke pot. So whether or not that is a possibility remains to be seen, I guess we'll find out on 4/20. I, personally, just want some new life breathed into this game, it's a huge game, despite it's flaws, despite the moans and whinges, Rockstar have a winner here. But we won't be taken for mugs, give us more meat in our DLC, none of this wafer thin sh*t, fix what's wrong but mix it up with something fun. I worry for the Heists, i worry they won't live upto the hype...I fear for their safety.

 

The freezing issue needs to be addressed too. I've lost count of all the times I've had to reset my poor, old PS3 who must be pretty pissed off at me to receive such careless treatment, even when I try to explain to her "it's not me, it's Rockstar". Don't let us down Rockstar, the future of GTA Online is in your hands.

Neither one of my PS3s have ever frozen... one is a launch edition that I bought broken on ebay like 3 years ago... granted most parts are replaced (HD, BluRay, PowerSupply) and I've added my own cooling system with PC controls...

 

The second one is a slim... not as much as been replaced but again.. was given it broken and I've customized it out in a similar way (SSD, PC cooling parts)

 

The reports of hackers freezing you... I'm sure those are true I just get lucky??... if it's doing it itself... obviously it isn't R*s fault.

 

I don't have enough first hand information to even make a guess on why BluRays are failing but I will... could it be the game? I suppose but I'd say it's likely old bluray drives... I've replaced more for kids than I can remember... my original is on it's 3rd bluray lens (2nd drive). I don't buy games on disc anymore

Funny that Choppers, that's the same response I got from Rockstar when I emailed them.

I'm aware this was an update Enzo, and I'm guessing updates must be used to fix things and not add content , but I'm not particularly happy with the DLC content either.

When things break like a Bluray, it's typical for them to work one day and then not the next. It also isn't uncommon for it to be intermittent when it's failing.

 

To be completely fair, we haven't been playing GTAO so much in the past few weeks (like at all). But we were playing 1.11 until it got old.

 

Could it be the patch? Sure, but I just don't see the evidence being widespread. When the kids here aren't playing LoL it's GTA and I can't say anyone has ever complained about freezes and believe me I've asked around because of all the posts on R*s forum a month or 2 ago.

wake and bake for you op. starting my day with the usual 2 dabs of some phantom OG kush shatter. once you get high you can foreget about how sh*t this update has been. i feel like this update was put on purpose to feel around and find cheaters/glitchers etc to level the game a bit before they release good DLC. with all the on going money glitches, you swear r* is going to put out good DLC. theyll do a money/rp sweep so DLC would actually take effort/cash cards to get.

No offence taken sir, I'm bored...I'm ranting, I'm also very new to this forum. Sometimes it's good to vent yanno, let off some steam. This game has so much potential I just want it to be realised that's all...I have the interests of every gamer (well almost) at heart

It's never been a drug of choice so therefore my knowledge is somewhat lacking on the subject matter...so please forgive me. Now tea drinking , that's a whole different matter

Many smoke-outs happen on college campuses and city parks and the bars have specials as well as a ton(nne?) of concerts with a weed/420 theme.

Ok If I'm totally honest with you I detest marijuana as much as I detest cider. The reason being I had both together when I was a young teenager and have never been so violently ill in my whole life, although I might have exaggerated at the time (teenagers usually do) I thought I was going to die. That experience itself was enough to put me off those two for the rest of my adult life. I actually feel nauseous whenever i get a strong whiff of weed and it brings that horrible memory back. I've got absolutely no problem with people who do it it's just not my bag (of weed), again hence why I'm personally not very well schooled.

I get the same thing with Whiskey fs. I did the exact same thing with whiskey as a teen and the smell of that makes me wretch so I know that feeling :-)

I never made the connection of it being called the high life update and 420 release that's brilliant. I think the 420 culture is a bit small over here, no idea why, but there's normally a huge smoke up in hyde park every year - It's nice to watch the police be accepting of the culture and it's a shock as well considering if you get caught with a spliff you'll get a criminal record & sh*t. I think people're just a bit less vocal of the habit over here as well.
