rubix99
So absolute zero advertising or public acknowledgement of the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall from Microsoft. This is really strange. Â There must have been some conflict somewhere between EA and Microsoft about the game being released on the Xbox 360. The sales of the 360 version are still beneficial to Microsoft so why would they give it zero attention? Â Did EA insist on there being a 360 version due to its 80 million+ install base? And that was one of the conditions for the game being exclusive to Microsoft? Maybe Microsoft really did want it to be Xbox One only and they were in charge of advertising and deliberately ignored the 360 release out of spite for EA. Just a theory but it really is odd how the 360 version is just being totally shunned. Â I can remember years ago when Mortal Kombat 3 was released and the best home console versions were on Playstation 1 and Sega Saturn, yet the advertising for the 16-bit Mega Drive (Genesis) and SNES versions were still very high. esmittystud101
I'd say this is plossible. I do think there is conflict between EA and Microsoft. Especially after the BF4 mishaps. Â I have the same thoughts about GTA V not going Next Gen yet. I think GTA V never went Next gen because they wanted us to keep our current gen consoles plugged in a little bit longer instead of throwing them in the closet. If it wasn't for GTAV, my Xbox 360 would have been in the closet since Nov when next gen's came out. Yes, I loved my 360,(loved as in past tense, X1 is soooooo much faster) yes I know they still have a huge fan base. But lets be honest, My X1 is all I need now. I think keeping it only on current gen. it made us all keep the console plugged in longer, keeping the system alive for 1-2 more years easy. I know guys will be like," the game was made for curr. gen and not next gen." " It would have taken them too long to upgrade to next gen." Think outside the box and not a video game junkie. Think like a bussiness man. Think dollars. Also keeping it curr. gen. only, not too many guys have went next gen yet. I think they would have sold alot more on curr. gen too as compared to next gen. Â Getting ready to go off topic......... Â I just wish guys would let it go. Curr. gen is dying. They don't even hold a candle to the next gen's and we haven't even seen the best yet. STOP trying to convice me that curr. gen. is okay compared to next gen because there are no games for Next gen yet. and stuff is still running in 720p. Look I only have four games for my X1, and I have been playing it since Nov with no 360. (Yes, that means I haven't touched crappy "NO Heist" GTA Online since then either). X1 still outranks my Xbox 360 with over fifty games. There is NO comparison between the two. You will see once you go Next Gen I guess. But until then, quit trying to sell me on "curr. gen. is still okay, and I don't have to buy next gen yet because there are no games." Remember, my four games easily outrank my fifty, and it ain't even close. Sorry for the rant. Django Fett

Detective Phelps
There isn't that much advertising for previous gen versions of cross-gen games. Watch_dogs, BF4, and MGS Ground Zeroes are examples of this. It isn't just Titanfall.

Notably the difference between 360 and XBO? I don't play ps4 so I don't know. Major difference in my opinion. The dashboard and everything is more fluent. Being able to switch between the game and dashboard very fluently is a big deal for console gamers I think. Sure there's a lack of games but when I switch back to 360 to play some games I miss my xbone. Sounds like someone wants a new gen and can't get it. Snob. Something I'll never understand are those who spend hundreds on consoles only to let them collect dust when the new ones come out. Thank allah for backwards compatibility at least, and even then none of them seem to make a big effort when they could charge you again for a port. Daz
It is stupid, if MS really wants to shift Xbox Ones. They should have designed it with backwards compatibility in mind. That way there would be not one single reason not to upgrade, other than it being a money issue. The main thing stopping me from converting to next gen is not wanting to leave current games behind, as well as the friends I have that have not transitioned yet. If we could all talk in the same party chat and all play the same games regardless you may as well have upgraded. Â But blah blah, powerpc hard to emulate. Â f*cking figure it out.
Mista J
It's not as simple as making the emulator, since there's no hardware based emulator on the Xbox one software has to use the current hardware to emulate the 360s hardware, and on top of that use resources to run the game. Â CPU heavy stuff, and it's not safe for the hardware to run at 100% load for hours on end.
Daz
I don't give a f*ck if the console has to be twice as large and effectively a whole 360 placed on top of it with detatchable cables. At least for the current situation it will get people buying them, because there would be no reason not to. Â Even just interconnectivity with the party chat system across multiple Microsoft devices would have been worth it, but you can't even do that. Â I strongly believe titanfall is not the game to get people buying the console. It may help but it is not that exclusive that you just have to buy a console for. Like we had to for the PS2 to get GTA3.
esmittystud101
Yeah, sorry for the rant. Everyday I look on here guys are complaining about "why I shouldn't buy a next gen yet". I should have started a new topic, but it would have been shut down pretty quick I think. Look, a new console only comes out every ten years and everyone complains about price, no games, and this and that. The console has only been out since late Nov. Â I'm like "A console only comes out once every ten years" Put it on a credit card like the rest of Americans do. Do you think I have an extra thousand bucks to throw down, hell no. People are then like "I have no credit yet". This is how you get credit, by paying on something for long periods of time at there set intrest rate. Thats why banks love us. Its the American way. Sorry that I have a high credit limit and some don't. I guess I'm just a snob. LOL. I'm done ranting now.
