No more 30 second, 3000 RP races

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

If this is true, I will be utterly pissed off.

I have only one bookmarked playlist, for 10 x RP Solo downhill drag race (PSN), made by someone here on the forum, that I can run in 26 seconds (and then wait about 2 minutes for each loading screen between races). The race has 25 waypoints in a straight line, and is long enough to get max RP, so that by going through the playlist once, you get a bit more than one level up (for any level player up to 100). And, at the end of the playlist is a total of $19K. That kind of race is very important to me, and it's great for low level players to level up and make money.

As I said, I will be abjectly and completely pissed if it is nerfed.

I don't understand how people can be using RP exploits like this and literally still need/want more RP.....

It's not really an exploit imho but an coding error which made you able to gain some easy RP in a legit way... there was no exploit needed, it was all just in game

I also think R* meant these missions in their statement about going after the RP glitchers, they said something about short jobs to gain much RP, and that people who used these jobs have nothing to fear about

:^: Exactly. This is not an exploit, just playing the game using a race designed at the limits of the creator capability.

Doing missions takes longer, and often has lower payout even when successful, not to mention the 50% of missions that fail and you get only $200 and 200 RP.

It's an exploit of the content creator. Races made to exploit the RP mechanics, made solely for RP gain and not fun or competition.

Races. Fun. Hunnnh. I can't imagine using those two words in the same sentence. PIT, ram, crash, asshole, race. Now those words go together naturally in one sentence. :p

And seriously, what percent of the million user-created races out there are actually decent races? I think we got an idea from the Rockstar-verified races, what they are like. :nervous:

Wait for no contact racing, then we could properly start racing.

I had a race that seemed to have the formula of 500 + (Level * 25) for the RP reward. It took 21 seconds and was essential for quickly leveling up. After 1.12 it rewarded something like 225 RP :(

It is a bit frustrating. I don't have a huge amount of time on my hands, I'm a 42 year old father, and so having legitimate ways of accelerating the unlocking of gear, upgrades and interesting missions helps to make the game work with my schedule. I don't want to glitch things, and as long as there is grinding method to speed things along then the game remains viable, but if I had to look at playing for another year before getting to level 120 in slow dribs and drabs then I'd likely find something else that can deliver more experience more quickly.

That's not racing.

Wrong.

Already satisfied with my rank, not really bothered to try and rank up anymore unless they actually add new things for those that push themselves beyond 120.

Just do missions instead, at least you get money this way.

Missions take too long. :/

I guess I'll load up my game to quickly check my race to see if its true. Will edit this post soon.

300 RP, $1260 for a 21.7 second race. I guess I'll remove it from my signature.
