Thanks. I've had a couple friends recently buy the game and this was our method for ranking them up and building up their accounts. Shame if they removed it completely. I'll try out that playlist today.

Ah, sweet. Fortunately my 50k playlist still works (cco3, potshot, cco3, potshot, cco3, custom race I added to see if it would stop me getting stuck in the clouds when I finished the list (which worked)) so i don't need to go looking for the coronas in game. Unless my coveted bookmark is gone, forgot to check that today and I don't currently have it playlisted.

Aha! I had the same endless clouds issue many times at the end of my coveted x16 playlist. Quitting one mission early seemed to work, but a race at the end is more fun. good to know.

It was happening to me more than half the time, since I added a 'playlist legal' item at the end it hasn't happened once. Not conclusive proof but a good sign.

They say its a mistake and they're fixing it, in the meantime coveted and other jobs can be started from the 'corona' in game. Apparently coveted only appears from midnight to 8am.

 

Of course it would be better if they hadn't broken it in the first place but at least its not a deliberate change.

I can 100% confirm that Coveted grinding is impossible now.

 

I just launched Coveted x6 and upon completing the first coveted I got sent back to Freemode.

I tried this with Coveted x16 and T'was the same thing.

 

This thread is to CONFIRM that we can't grind coveted playlists anymore, and that it's not a rumor created by a troll

I can confirm that it is 110% impossible to not be able to do a x16 coveted playlist.
