$38,000 on Rooftop Rumble?

For some reason, I received $38,000 for completing Rooftop Rumble a few days ago. The other three guys only received $18,500 or whatever the normal payout is. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this to happen? I didn't even pick up or deliver the package. I didn't do anything differently than I have in the past, so the only thing I can assume is that it was a weird glitch.

I get 2x on quite a few missions, my crew say it's because I am crew leader, but I have seen others in the crew get it every so often, so not going with "crew leader" excuse.

Just about every mission pays double the amount the first time you play it. After that you get paid the regular wages.

Yeah, and additionally for missions like RR, if it gets removed from your menu list, when you get it back you'll get the 2x. I've lost it 3 times, and each time I play it "for the first time, again" i get the 38k.

Mine must have been random, because there hadn't been a patch and I'm almost positive I had played it maybe half an hour before. And I wasn't team leader, either. But maybe -- *maybe* -- I'm wrong and I hadn't played it since the patch since that time. But if that's true, then the friend I was playing with would have received the same amount the first time he played after the patch, which he did not. Very odd.

There is also a really rare bug where it gives the one who delivers it $0 and everybody els 18-38K. I had this happening to me only once lol. It said i failed but they got paid. Worst payout ever.

I have gotten 2x the money on RR a couple times. knew it was a fluke.

Was there a 2x multiplier added sometime recently?

I've only ever received 1.50 X (given payment) based on the difficulty. I.e If the first/full time payment is 25000 and if its on hard you'll get 37500$.

 

For instance I have a bug where my first time play history essentially resets, but not on rooftop rumble specifically.., it happens with all kinds of random missions. Shortly after 1.10, or 1.09, when they corrected the money multiplier to apply to first time payments; ALL of my mission were paying out over 30k because my history had been reset for whatever reason..but that's mostly old news.

 

Its a bug, and in my case no specific circumstance implied a greater chance of it happening, she comes and goes; my friend points it out when we meet up on old missions and I get double what he gets.

 

The reason I know its not technically 2 x is because this multiplier(2X) doesn't exist, and I got this glitch before the multiplier worked properly on first time payments, and I was receiving the max payments of 23k, 25k etc..

What's happening is your first time payment got "forgotten", you are receiving it again and its multiplying it according to the difficulty (hard 1.50X)

 

I have received less with normal and easy, etc when receiving first time payments. I.e (normal) 1.25 X 25000 = 31250

I could be wrong but I always read the patch notes carefully,..my game isn't too buggy otherwise!

Hopefully I get this bug again soon lol, I'm thinking its getting noticed on RR because this mission gets played so much compared to others.

Not entirely true.

 

When you play a mission for the first time while at or above required level, you get the full (1.0x) payout. Upon replays and for lower than required levels, the payouts are 1/2x.

Also, when missions get updated by R*, players get the full payout upon playing the updated version for the first time (at or above required level). For example, I've gotten full payout on RR again after the recent removal/re-addition of it to the list of jobs.
