RP Mathematics

Starting from October 5 2013 (date when majority of players were able to successfully play GTAO) and ending at April 7 2014, 185 days have passed.

Here is an overview of what ranks are realistically possible:

A player could obviously be 185, meaning they ranked up at least once a day since release.

185 * 2 = 370

185 * 3 = 555

185 * 4 = 740

185 * 5 = 925

Not everything is so simple as that...

• After rank 450 it requires at least one hour to level up. This sort of means that after you reach 450, you have 23 days or 550 hours to get to 1000.
  
• Up until rank 250 it is very possible to rank up ten times daily.
  
• People that were around before the Great Nerf of 2013, had access to solo races that gave out 7000RP in mere minutes (American Cycle was my savior), missions were re-playable and most of them rewarded at least 4000RP (except stingy ass Simeon.)
  
• Armored trucks act like a RP wormhole, if you stop and lose the cops for every truck it's a guaranteed 2300RP every 30 seconds and if done near a LSC.
  

What's the Point of all this Nonsense?

1. I'm tired of being accused of DNS.

First of all, you're calling me a cheater.

Second of all, you are indirectly calling me unintelligent. From what I understand you had to get on a server run by a "hacker" in order to take part in this cheat. I'm an Information Systems major, I am not going to willingly get on a server run by some "hacker!" Those of you who did are lucky to still even have your PSN accounts. Forgive me, I know nothing about Xbox.

2. To show you that if you spent 3 hours a day and ranked up once each hour since October 5th on GTAO, you realistically could be at least 555.

3. Out of 185 days, I spent 100 of them playing the game. This comes out to about 13 hours per day. Majority of this time was spent grinding missions with my crew and solo races. My rank probably should be 2405! I'm currently at 705, which means I've ranked up on the average 3.8 times daily. I'm a lazy lima bean.

4. Let Rockstar do the finger pointing for now. I mean it's obvious if a person is 1000 at 4 days play time, but to sh*t on someone with obvious stats to back their rank is ugly.

5. What a person chooses to do with their time is their choice. I'm a MF'N GTA Addict until the day I die. I mean, why else would I join a GTA Forum?

My brain is too scarred from a constant diet of violent video games, loud music and junk food to be able to work through all the maths but I still dont think anyone who is on level 705 got there without using an exploit or modding/hacking/ ""adjusting" or whatevever the current term is.

Good to know OP, abusing exploits for personal gain in a video game is completely pathetic, especially in a game like this where RP/GTA$ is practically spoonfed to you for little to no effort other than investing small amounts of time here and there.

This doesn't make sense at all. You don't get JP for everything you get RP. For instance, I've hit almost 2000 armored trucks. That's like 4,000,000 RP by itself. You get RP just for evading Wanted stars. Please elaborate.

I can see how it can be frustrating to be accused of RP glitching when you haven't been, but it's to be expected when only a small percentage of players at that level got it legit. I've defended the fact that ranking up to an absurdly high level is possible without glitching and that there is no need to play 4+ hours a day.

 

When I see a person ranked over 500 I take precautions just in case that person is in god mode or something. But never do I immediately accuse or report that person of RP glitching.

 

The problem is even deeper though. Sure, they look at your rank and think you glitched to get it, and they attack you for it. But, this type of paranoid, impulsive, a-hole mentality has existed since day one. You can't be around people for too long before someone busts a cap in your ass.

 

Hopefully the upcoming patches that Rockstar announced will help remedy some of these issues.

I think a good measurement is RP earned Per Sec/Min/Hour played... and right now, the OP is sitting at about 3.2 RP earned per sec, or 192 RP earned per min, or 11,520 RP earned per hour played.

 

That does not seem very extreme at all... I would say if the OP was solely interested in gaining RP, they could double that EASILY... how many times could you play Rooftop Rumble in a relaxed hour? 6 at least... 7... 8?

 

I see quite a few players at 360,000 RP per hour and that seems a little (lot) unattainable at current payout rates. Even half that, 180,000 RP per hour is way out there.

 

Anyway, just my $0.02.

Right now a person could solo the race Horse Power and get 2665RP every minute. This comes out to 159,900 RP per hour, if you ignore loading times. I hear that there are user created races giving out 3000 RP for 30 seconds on solo! If they are Rockstar sanctioned I might just hit those up couple times a week.

Actually the OP is spot on, she probably could've hit a 1000 by now, if all she did was a hardcore grind from day 1 up until now. I made a post last week, if you were to start from level 1, and play Rooftop Rumble 100 times a day, you would hit level 1000 in 13 weeks tops, it comes out to 12,661 times you would have to do the mission. Leveling up isn't hard at all, the will to consistently grind to level up is. Me I'd be happy if I hit level 500 by the fall, I'm level 278 now, all I do these days are TDMs.

 

 

EDIT: It's sad people like the OP, who actually play get accused of cheating, but sadly enough 97% of the people who are level 400+ did use the DNS. The 2 biggest giveaways are the skill bars, and the time they've played, which is always 10 days or under total. What pisses me off the most is when I do a high level TDM, and I have 2 level 400 + guys on my team for a 3 on 3, and it says were military trained, and I'm the only dead eyed shot on the team smfh.
