GTA driving is pathetic vs Real driving. this is one of the biggest reasons people want GTA V on PC. Realistic driving tweaks are so much better.

unless you own like g27 or something then no game driving mechanic is close to real life driving

No need. A cheaper tool like a DFGT does alright.

And let's be honest, since the PS3 and XBOX days, long triggers do a decent job to give good feel for pedals. Steering needs quite a lot of work on the sofware side to work well with a joystick, but some games have done an excellent job.

I'd say that if a game gets the physics somewhere half decent, and codes well some speed dependant assist for steering, it feels pretty good already even with a joystick. At least if you are not terribad using it.

OP get used to it bro, R* listens to those that make the most fuss, the kiddies that want things to be easy, and want fancy cars to 'show off'.

"many members of the GTA stunting community were disappointed to discover that this fix made pulling off certain popular bike tricks and stunts virtually impossible"

OH POOR THEM the motorbikes handle like complete garbage, wheelies take no skill and are pathetic, the new air physics must of been to hard for them so they had to change it back HAHAH pathetic

MANY members of the GTA IV community cant stand the car traction system, no drifts or peel-outs

Yet they do nothing about that

Good to see they only listen to degenerate teens

GTA IV Driving was amazing.

2. You can't off-road in a super car.

There was no offroading in IV. Unless you count central park, which doesnt have a real hillz so no.

here's my two cents, every car in IV handled pretty much the same. EVERY car in V handles quite differently. This is why V's better.

I miss doing rolling burnouts in my Dukes. When you applied the brakes in IV, the farther you pulled the trigger the harder it would brake. Now it's just on and off. Played IV the other day and had more fun driving then I've ever had in V.

Exactly this

My stats to all you noob morons who think i cant drive, check my IV stats also, over 1000 races

Face it im better then you guys, and im right, good to see theres a few people here with half a brain who notice these things

ignorant. i guarantee that you can peel-out for as long as you have the skill for. im not sure if it will pop tires as i have all bulletproof tires on my sh*t. i also guarantee that you can drift properly in this game. you just need to know how. stop giving up so easily.

watch some of the GTA wise guy's vids. he is an awesome drifter and has precise methods for doing what you OBVIOUSLY cant. use his methods and im sure youll start drifting and peeling out to your hearts desire.

how to drift (well, not really, but watch and youll get some tips)

how to peel out and keep it goin

To be fair the ability to drift or not is something I could not care less about. What I´d like is the game to have at least some fidelity when you´re driving as fast as possible. SOME. That´s what I´m missing here.

Wet weather grip levels for dry weather driving would do it grip wise. Then a bit of work on how suspension reacts to bumps and we´ll have something half decent and more importantly, enjoyable to drive.

The only thing about V's driving physics online that I like is that it's actually possible to perform a PIT Maneuver on other players.
