On IV you could sometime even control your car (landstalker)a good while with 2 of the same side wheels off the road, no chance on V with its simpleton midnight club physics

When you're driving home from work this evening you try driving with two of your wheels off the road and in the dirt and two on the road and see what happens*

*Please dont actually do this as you will most likely hurt yourself or someone else.

I think he ment dukes of hazzard style on 2 wheels

I think youre right.

Still Id like to see the OP drive around with two wheels up in the air then tell us all how easy it is.

Yes the physics could've been a lot better, but you've got to realise that IVs physics were not perfect either.

I didn't see any of you people defending GTA IV when everyone sh*t all over it

So as far as I'm concerned, you can all go get F'ed in the A.

OP says GTA V pyshics should be changed but he probably never even drove and plus the cars are like plastic in Gta IV and he probably has bulletproof tires thats why it won`t pop

That's because i think the car handling is terrible in four. I like being able to go around 90 degree corners without letting off the accelerator. Sure its not realistic but thats why im playing a videogame

Hold L1 and R1. If you don't have bullet proof tires, they pop. I'll take that money now.

I give out 1 billion to anyone who can pop there tyres doing a peel-out on V , it impossible, so dumbed down for rejects

So you haven't played the game yet?

Do ppl realise 'peel-out' and a static 'burn-out' are two different things?

the bikes in IV were superb except a little bouncy, the peel outs were epic, hold both triggers, lean forward on the bike and let go of left trigger and watch the rear tyre leave a black line for 300 yards up the road and then burst, it was great, a lot like a real sports bike behaves irl,

in V the bike just sputters when you try it, that part of the V bike handling sucks fat hairy balls along with the low speed player/anim/bike physics, the bike is still too upright on very low speed turning, needs to drop into the corner more, they also seem to have speeded up the high speed turning responses a tad too sensitive.

having said that R* has definitely improved the bike handling overall since original release, if this was on PC I would have fine tuned the bikes to suit myself by now.

same peel out principle with the cars is what the OP is getting at.

^here comes the anime brigade

What does that even anime have to do with the topic in question?

Also, I don't see any problem with how the cars drive

I thought GTA 5 is great. I don't like drifting.

the handling in both GTA IV in V are unreal, IV was sloppy and had this traction control so you couldn't do donuts or drift. you could barely do it in 1st/2nd gear of the dukes and the vigero. GTA V has some cars that allow you to really do a proper drift. for instance, the futo has almost the most realistic handling in the game, although cars do not turn very sharp without losing control and the suspension is too hard, but not soft like GTA IV. R* still hasn't mastered the perfect yet fun realism of driving. Forza isn't super realistic but fun IMO. Forza Horizon was realistic/ arcade handling.

as far as bikes go, they were more realistic in GTA IV. their are so many assists in the bike handling in GTA V

Much rather not have those boat physics back again, thank you.

I miss doing rolling burnouts in my Dukes. When you applied the brakes in IV, the farther you pulled the trigger the harder it would brake. Now it's just on and off. Played IV the other day and had more fun driving then I've ever had in V.

You also went at a stupid fast speed with no tires, literally, no rubber - pure alloy on the ground. Was funny and interesting.

Fact is, who cares? The game's still fun and if you're actually looking for a "driving simulator", you're sadly in the wrong place.

Haven't played 4 for years, which is fine - I'm sure aspects were better there as some are better here and now.

EDIT: good job, your stats are blocked for public viewing, lol.

How many people that bitch and complain about the physics from either game actually drive in real life? Anybody? I do. I've driven quite a few vehicles. Big ones, little ones, slow ones, and fast ones. I've driven vehicles that could barely do 5mph to ones that I got up to 160mph without a problem. And out of both games (GTA IV and GTA V), GTA V has the most realistic driving. Now I'm not saying that it is realistic, but between the two, V has it.

God I remember how much I hated gta 4's car physics. No car I've driven is that heavy or rolls that much - I don't think it's physically possible to get that much suspension travel on a standard car!

GTA IV sports cars handling reminds me of when my Volvo station wagon had blown out struts (It was like driving on a washboarded dirt road when I drove down the freeway).

That's a very compelling argument you've got yourself there. Your hurling of abuse at everyone and self-proclaimed greatness has convinced me. I agree that I and anyone else that doesn't agree is a moron who doesn't have half a brain. You have the racing stats to prove it. Edited by Jolly SWAGman

You got a busted controller than. Or your playing on a PS. I have an XBox and I have no problem apply the brakes/throttle in a controlled manner. If I just want to creep in my car I barely use the trigger and it will creep along. And part of the reason why I'm better at racing then most of my friends is because of how I use the brakes. half way squeezing the brakes slows you down quicker as the brakes don't lock up.

I only recently started Bmxing and stunting, in fact I ride my bmx everywhere now that I play free aim and people can't lock onto me.

Anyway can someone tell me what the psychics were like before they changed it? Or what they're changing it back to?

@CaliMeatWagon it's true, you can't do long skids/snakies like you could in IV.

edit; how were the old motorbike physics different? All I've heard so far is that they were better.

Originally, when doing a wheelie on to a ledge you would fly up in the air. You could hold back so you're half way around a backflip (this is called 'gliding'). This would let you go much further and higher since it uses the same mechanic as the flying bmx bikes. After 1.11, they patched the flying bmx mechanic, unintentionally patching gliding on bikes. Now when in the air gliding makes no difference and you just fall to the ground.

The reason this will be fixed is that it was already in the game and by removing it many people were very upset since you could always do this in this game. The reason the car mechanics from gta iv won't be implemented is because it was from a different game and by changing it many people would complain that driving is too difficult.

Played iv last night why are all traffic cars likr brick walls in this game in iv you could pit cars on the highway and make cars flip by smashing them

another very stupid thing about V

So why do you even bother playing then? Stop bitching and enjoy the game.
